@@lurkar86same here, shotgun main so this season should’ve been great for me but ive been feeling less and less of that player retention ever since XD launched. Frankly haven’t touched it since launch cause of the no sbmm lobbies, and this is comin from a guy thats catered to in current cod.
My buddy and I went back to call of duty today just to see if we would miss it and man…. We didn’t miss it haha. Two games and got right back on xdefiant. Do not miss those sweaty lobbies man!
While I don’t disagree, you have those some items at your disposal as well. It’s only annoying when running into full squads that all run Intel suit, or all run shields, bots etc
@@burkholder1992thats the issue. I have like a couple games where its unbearable, but i back out and join another lobby and its pretty much smooth from there.
My only annoyance with Spider Bot is they immediately damper your movement even before it latches on to your faces, it should've slowed me down WHEN they are on my face. Also, if the enemy has like 3 Spider Bots, they can attach to you immediately one after another which was annoying as hell, they should put a some kind of cooldown timer before you can get attached to a Spider Bot again. As for the bunny hopping, just try and learn how to do it yourself! When I first played XDefiant I cannot do it, but after some time and practice, I can consistently pull of that bhop 2x to kill an enemy before the penalty kicks in.
Full time job and other adult responsibilities dictate I have only 30 minutes to play but this game is so fun that I frequently squeeze in “just one more”
Only things I want to see changed or improved is the netcode and hit reg, I think the respawn timer is a little too long in Zone Control considering how far it spawns you from the objective after death, and it would be nice if they did some sort of change with the spider bots. Seems like bad players just use them for easy cheap kills. It's not impossible to counter the spiders but god is it annoying when a whole team uses them and spams them the entire match.
Things that i think needs to be fixed: -lobby takes too long to find a match -spiderbot feels clunky to use -wallhack ability needs a nerf -snipers needs a nerf
I agree on everything except snipers, of course snipers one shot and that's a good thing, i myself rage hard when i get killed by a sniper, but they can't make the snipers like cod where you have to hit 2 or 3 Times the players, to kill them, they are snipers not smgs
Correct but wrong about snipers, a sniper is a sniper, its meant to 1 shot. if you change the way that works that makes the whole sniper category completely useless.

@killerkevo the game is full of cheaters which kill you in 1 - 2 shots. Quick Google "xdefiant hacks" and you'll have all your answers. The net code should have been updated by now but........
the hit reg in this game is the worst ive ever experienced in a shooter, half my bullets dont register and i get killed. and yes dying around corners is hell. the last patch was supposed to tweak the hit reg but didnt do much
TDM made me fall in love again, OBJ type game modes are fine but I’ve always just been a slayer type player. Dropping 30/40 bombs in TDM is so refreshing and I can’t stop playing. Me and and 3 of my boys played for 5 hours straight the other night. Felt like the good ole days again
I would say the only two things really bugging me that I want fixed is the net code and the bunny hopping spam. Bunny hopping spam needs to be nerfed further.
Nerf the mp7 too, like man bunny hopping guys with mp7 is 90% of my games, Bunny hopping is excellent for doom or quake multiplayer, for games like xdefiant it ruins everything
I agree with what you're saying about the bunny hopping nerfs being hardly noticeable, but I disagree with the sniper flinch. I am running into WAY less snipers ever since the nerf

The honeymoon phase is over and i enjoy the game even more now, than when i first started playing it. The game is very bare bones but that doesn’t bother me at all. Back in the hight of cod there were no mastery camo grinds or daily challenges or anything like that. The gameplay itself was just so much fun on it’s own, they didn’t need all that extra bs to keep people playing. Xdefiant takes me back to those days
I'm glad you guys are enjoying it, awesome, but it's just not my thing. Bunny hopping, terrible hit registration, constant spamming of wall hack, constant spiderbots jumping on your face, weapon balancing, same small list of maps, it just didn't wrangle me in. I hopped back into MW3 and have been having a blast on the Mutation game mode.
Plenty of studios have passionate devs, who make amazing content and strive to put their best foot forward. So far, what seems to set XDefiant apart from the others is that the management behind the team is just as competent.
While I agree with your general premise, I would disagree that the passionate, accessible devs really exist in the fps space. And really, honestly, passionate doesn't always equate to "doing what the player wants". A lot of times passionate devs are more about their vision than building the game that the community is asking for.
I've started to get bored honestly. Haven't rly played at all for the past 2 weeks. Not saying it's a bad game but it's missing something to rly hook, atleast me personally. I don't care about grinding camo, never have, I don't care what my lvl is. When all that's left is the gameplay itself , it's not a game I can sit down and play for more than a few matches without a break. It desperately needs some balancing changes for sure but even after that I don't think this game will ever rly hook me.

Garbage game. Until they fix the net code/hit detection, the game will never be good. And until they remove all the superpowers, such as Invisible Woman and her brother, the Human Torch, and all that trash, the game will never be great.
while Xdefient will never dethrone call of duty, I'm enjoying it a lot, its the best free to play game out right now for first person shooters at least. i would like to see some weapon balance and additional features. the shotguns need major buffs to be viable, ATM they are very inconsistent, pistols are too weak, I've died more times swapping to a pistol than i can count. The hit registration in this game is properly the worst I've experienced in any shooter; it needs major work. The bunny hopping is still bad, needs to be toned down. a small thing, but it would be nice if they were blood clouds when shooting opponents, it would add more visual feedback. the Duel sense controller's haptics feel very weak in Xdefient too, yet the Xbox controller there is strong vibration. a weapon inspect feature would be welcome. melee takedowns would be nice to have too with various animations. these could be added to future battle passes as rewards.
I just wish the ttk was faster. I know that’s a hot take but some of the most fun I have in FPS is putting together 3-4-5-6 multikills and it just feels impossible in this game. Further more I think it would take a lot of cheese out of the gun fights when you shoot some one and they slide crouch jump crouch slide and kill you
Yeah the bots are annoying, the fire is annoying, the net code with dying behind walls sucks. The amount of things that are annoying and that suck in cod is a much longer list. My mate has a good idea for the jump shot snipers, make weapon sway crazy while jumping. Simple. No one triple jumps to shoot anyways
Honeymoon phase is over, for a free game. Not much to say other than the game was popular on release and will remain relative until they harm the community that has formed around this game already. I think it's a fun game, not my cup of tea, but it does feel like the type of game I'll be able to hop into after a few months have passed and get right back into it. Only issue with XDefiant is Ubisoft, but as long as they don't drastically change the gameplay and progression, start locking progression behind purchases and adveritising microtransactions with zero way to permeanently disable advertisements, than I can see the game getting better and better as time goes on. Only way to go, is up.
The only issue I have 1: There is No ammo pick ups or caches. Unless someone is carrying the same weapon, you cannot get more ammo. Maybe they will get some kind of ammo system so you can resupply. As long as they don't put a Warzone type mode in the game where they spend all of their time, and money like COD. I would like a hardcore and free for all mode. I think this game is only going to get better.
I agree partially that it would be a good system addition but I also disagree how this could be seen as a priority. With 30 hours of game play I rarely ever run out of ammo in my primary gun and in the rare occurrences that I do, I just grab the gun of the person I just killed and run with that. They already have an extended mag/ammo system so I think they are better putting their developer resources towards something else like general UI improvements. Down the road the ammo system would be nice but with the average life being so short, it just seems like an afterthought.
They need to do some heavy balancing for the abilites, I enjoy the game but there is nothing more annoying than play the OBJ only for a cleaner to run around the corner & blow up at your feet & you can do nothing about it, takes away the actual skill of the game! Same with the Spider bot & Intel suit, who thought literal wall hack every 20s was a good idea 😂
I disagree on the sniper flinch. I cook snipers now, I have even had pistol kills on snipers since the change (with effective jump strafing along with the flinch). Now if they miss their first shot, it is usually over, which is really how sniper engagements should be if they don't get to cover after missing a shot.

The bunny hop mechanic has been used in fps for so long. I will tone it down one more time. After the second jump instead of idle sway the momentum suffers.
Are you trying to get better? I do agree the snipers are annoying. The jumping is also annoying, but the nerf was done correctly. Sweats will be in the game regardless. Its an fps shooter with zero skill based matchmaking. Its going to be a mixed bag of everything. I get a mixed bag of everything when i play this game. Its fun to me because of how simple the gameplay is. How easy the matchmaking system is. This game isn’t perfect, but its addictive (to me rather).
I just want a cool realistic theme (like BO6) as an arcade shooter (likr BO6) but without SBMM and with post launch content that enhances the theme and atmosphere instead of completely ruining it like MWIII. I know Treyarch said they will start with more immersive skins but will expand to more out there content later on. At least I hope they make it fitting for the era and theme unlike MWIII which goes absolutely insane (in a bad way). At least make it still feel like the time era. I miss MP also having a soul and atmosphere that makes it stand out compared to the others. I enjoy xDefiant a lot but it sadly doesn't have its own universe and is a mix of everything.
I don't even like CoD very much (I mean I _really_ don't like it, not even the older ones), but somehow I'm really enjoying XDefiant. There's just something about it that keeps me coming back. The matchmaking feels a lot more fair than other games, the character abilities aren't unreasonable to deal with (unlike CoD's Killstreaks always blowing up half of the map), and the game is just plain fun. If _I_ think it's fun, they've got something truly special on their hands.
I don't like XDefiant, I don't play the game, but I don't see the issue with snipers? They adressed the flinch, what more do you want? If they make the ADS slow, snipers will become useless and no one will use them, unless you want people camping and hardscoping corners all game? XDefiant is a fast paced arcade game, all guns need to be viable for aggressive play styles. Sounds like bitching for the sake of bitching tbh.
Depends how season 1 goes tbh. I don’t think the game will die, simply for the fact it’s free, but the game certainly lacks identity. So I’m curious what they’ll do to drag people back in. I don’t want the game to die, but I’m looking at the game from a realistic perspective.
I uninstalled XDefiant. The lobbies don't feel any different than modern CoD to me. Every lobby is a sweat fest. My kd in CoD since BO2 has always been 1.5+. My kd in XDefiant is .5. Idk if it's the netcode screwing with me, but it's damn near impossible for me to get a kill with any of the ARs or smgs. I do pretty well with the snipers, but I've always preferred ARs and smgs. As for non SBMM, it doesn't feel like it to me. I remember how lobbies were before SBMM, and these lobbies don't feel like it to me. I have yet to get into a lobby where I'm not sweating myself to death trying to win games and stay alive. The only thing that reminds me of OG CoD, is when my team is getting stomped, I'm usually #1 on my team. I want to like XDefiant, but until the netcode is fixed, I'll be playing other games.
@robertadams1558 because that's how we rated each others skills back in the day. The higher your kd, the better player you were. I was always an objective player, and I still had a positive kd in CoD. Someone talking trash in the lobby? "1v1 me bro, and we'll see if you can back up that mouth." Was the usual response. If you had a high kd, chances are they'd shut up and back out. But most would put up or shut up. Man, those were the days! No hackers, games came out 99% - 100% complete.
The sniping nerf didn’t feel like it changed much because nobody wants to admit these snipers might actually just be good at the game and learn to adapt to the flinch Except that downward flinch. There is no adapting to that. Land headshots on snipers and they are going to really struggle to hit you
Is their any Info on the Gun Chamo´s and Blueprints, i want to use grinded Chamos on all Variants, i got 3 Pistols in Gold but i can only use em on default Guns. No Point to buy anything or grind anything... BTW will the Chamo Bug get fixed i got an AK47 in Silver and Gold but the Bronce Chamo is MIssing since the stupid Update.
I thought it was just me who continuously lands bullets on a sniper whilst they are hard scoping and it doesn't look like they have any flinch. I even come across someone who was just spamming jump and seemed to be getting no accuracy penalties. I felt like the net code had been resolved for me after the update, but last night I've gone back to dying round corners as though the net code has just broke or something. One more thing. Remove spiderbot. Obnoxious playstyle. I came across my worst kind of player last night. Deadsec spider bot sniper with prox mines just sat at the back of the map 🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮 4 of my most hated things combined into one.
Just wouldn’t be a video if you didn’t mention SBMM. Let it go people. The game isn’t “rigged” when it places you with players in your skill bracket. God SBMM is the biggest cope of the last few years.
I havent been on since I tried out Elden Ring. Havent felt that from a game since Legend Of Zelda Ocarina of Time on N64. Not many games can you give a 10/10, but its one of them. I will be back tho. Prob season 1
Have they ever explained why lobbies disband even if there's no SBMM? When I find a good lobby and want to stay in it, I'm just out of luck. Having a decently fun time with the game, though it's getting stale - way too few maps, and also not enough guns and camos to work for.
I would just love to know how these UA-camrs get shit lobbies in a no SbMm game and I still get level 200 plus every game. I do fine I got a 1.7 kd but I rarely find a lobby I can drop 100 in anymore and my skill rating is higher
I still prefer COD but honestly I’m over this era of gaming. It feels so stagnant and other than slight graphic improvements every few years, barely anything innovative happening. How were fps games more enjoyable fifteen years ago? Don’t freak out, this is just my opinion
I haven't been able to play since the second xp weekend. Due to no fault of my own the game completely bricks my $3k pc. I've had little to no help from ubi support. Overall the preseason has sucked for me. I love the game and really wanted to play. But I can't.
I disagree with what you said about sniper flinch. The nerf is *very* noticeable when I'm playing with a sniper and I know that everyone else has the same amount of difficulty with it. When I kill someone with a sniper by controlling the flinch, I know that I deserved that kill. Same thing goes when it's the other way around. When I shoot someone with a sniper and they kill me despite the flinch, they deserved that kill. Maybe it's just a different mentality that I have where I appreciate the skill of my opponent in frustrating moments, like getting one-shot. Perhaps that's also why I didn't get frustrated after dying behind a wall, because I knew I would've died anyways, if the netcode issues were resolved. In that case I can also understand the anticlimactic feeling players get when they thought they barely survived, but still ended up dying. That, however, is very different from dying to a sniper, as it is purely tied to the skill of my opponent instead of any issues with the game or connection

I enjoy the game but my GOD idk if I’ve ever played a sweatier game. I don’t see how SBMM is a problem. It makes sense, a new player isn’t going to come back to play the game because of the skill gap.
been playing cod since cod4. Enjoying xdefiant a lot, the frustrations i get are mostly similar to Overwatch with my team mates. Otherwise i find myself having more than I've had in CoD in a few years.
The honeymoon fase was over for me when they hardly nerved the bunny hopping and the OP snipers. Because of those 2 ingredients the game feels like it's a horrible sweat fest full with " get gud, skill issue, living in a basement " nerds. Getting shot around a corner or emptying a clip inside someone without doing any damage were the last nails in the XD coffin. Deleted it a few weeks ago!
I'm having a hard time playing with how bad the networking is. I've genuinely never seen a game have it be this bad. Half of your shots dont register. Youll die a few seconds after being around a corner. It's pretty ridiculous.
Im still having issues here and there. Getting shot through walls, having to push the grenade button 3 times to finally get it to be thrown, and some hitteg/latency issue thats especially noticable with the m16 or the snipers. I'll get two hit markers sniping, but get killed, and the other guy will only have taken damage as if he only got hit once. This is usually paired with me respawning and immediately shooting a shot as if the 2nd bullet didn't get register so it compensates by shooting it as i spawn. Oh and they need to nerf spiderbot man, seeks you out and stuns you for 5 seconds, drains like half your health and can even kill you, and cancels your alts/ability. Also feels like theres a weird ttk discrepancy. Sometimes it feels like i need a full 2-3 seconds to kill someone, and there'll be times where im 2 seconds into shooting somebody and they just flick and it honestly feels like im dying in 2 shots. Lastly i think they need to bolster the damage graphics when you get shot. I noticed i was in a gunfight shooting a guy and the only reason I noticed i was taking damage was because of the fire bullets. No red screen, no damaga sound, nothing. I wonder if this also plays into why sometimes it feels like you die faster than you think you should because you cant tell you're initially taking damage til your health is already low enough to prompt the red screen.
The echelon intel suit fix is simple: make the Intel a flash point, instead of live tracking. That way you can know where people in the vicinity are - but don't have the ability to prefire the exact moment they run around the corner. You have the slight edge of knowing where people are but not full OP wall hack live tracking of their movement.
Is it still mid? People won’t admit it because “it’s not cod” and “ there’s no sbmm!” but the game looks feels and like a generic free to play from 2015
Enjoying game, sometimes feel like EOMM but I think it is hit detection which is better but still needs work. Snipers need to be buffed, I snipe sometimes and fill I have an advantage when I do as flinch is almost nonexistent.
When I played xfediant while it was fun I only played a bit to get a feel for the game. Let me say what I played I saw potential. Unfortunately I am a search and destroy player. I can respect people choice of playing respawn modes but I have the most fun playing 1 life kind of modes. This is why xdefiant became not fun for me. I will be playing it again once search comes to the game.
cod fans are down so bad that they have to cope with this plastic, corporate, sluge meant to play catch up w/ the popularity of overwatch a decade ago, but it was delayed so far out that both bliz and activision shot themselves in the foot, the head, and the heart multiple times. I'm glad people are enjoying it, but this game is still hot garbage, art by committee, compromise on compromise, 'we need to make something profitable' media. With love...
The bunny hopping has got to go, #1 source of me alt F4ing this game. The main problem is the ability to strafe mid jump, I cannot track anyone doing that.
I’m not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but that same “bunny hop” nerf is present when you spam crouch as well. After about 4 consecutive crouch/uncrouch, you receive that same idle sway

Nero, Not a lot is happening because the developers ACTUALLY took their time to release the game and not rush it, of course the game is not perfect but it released as all games should have This shouldn’t be a surprise but CoD made that a habit to just release half-assed games
The need a faction cap asap , max 2 players for each faction . It would spice up the gameplay and force people to use their abilites properly i,e not just throwing down a mag shield to win a 1v1 . It would also stop annoying spams such as a team full of echelon , a team full of phantoms and a team full of ded sec !

Love this game rn. The dev support, no SBMM/OEMM and constant variety of gameplay has made this game the best arena FPS game since BO3.
No SBMM yet nearly every match is close like MWIII

Correct but wrong about snipers, a sniper is a sniper, its meant to 1 shot. if you change the way that works that makes the whole sniper category completely useless.

The issue with snipers is that the TTK in this game is relatively high, so using a sniper is much easier here than in COD.

Ive had that issue to as well. I just play TDM and thats it. The hit registration is an issue and im sure that will be fixed.

the hit reg in this game is the worst ive ever experienced in a shooter, half my bullets dont register and i get killed. and yes dying around corners is hell. the last patch was supposed to tweak the hit reg but didnt do much
TDM made me fall in love again, OBJ type game modes are fine but I’ve always just been a slayer type player. Dropping 30/40 bombs in TDM is so refreshing and I can’t stop playing. Me and and 3 of my boys played for 5 hours straight the other night. Felt like the good ole days again

I would say the only two things really bugging me that I want fixed is the net code and the bunny hopping spam.
Bunny hopping spam needs to be nerfed further.
Nerf the mp7 too, like man bunny hopping guys with mp7 is 90% of my games, Bunny hopping is excellent for doom or quake multiplayer, for games like xdefiant it ruins everything

The honeymoon phase is over and i enjoy the game even more now, than when i first started playing it. The game is very bare bones but that doesn’t bother me at all. Back in the hight of cod there were no mastery camo grinds or daily challenges or anything like that. The gameplay itself was just so much fun on it’s own, they didn’t need all that extra bs to keep people playing. Xdefiant takes me back to those days

I'm glad you guys are enjoying it, awesome, but it's just not my thing. Bunny hopping, terrible hit registration, constant spamming of wall hack, constant spiderbots jumping on your face, weapon balancing, same small list of maps, it just didn't wrangle me in. I hopped back into MW3 and have been having a blast on the Mutation game mode.
Plenty of studios have passionate devs, who make amazing content and strive to put their best foot forward. So far, what seems to set XDefiant apart from the others is that the management behind the team is just as competent.
While I agree with your general premise, I would disagree that the passionate, accessible devs really exist in the fps space. And really, honestly, passionate doesn't always equate to "doing what the player wants". A lot of times passionate devs are more about their vision than building the game that the community is asking for.

I've started to get bored honestly. Haven't rly played at all for the past 2 weeks. Not saying it's a bad game but it's missing something to rly hook, atleast me personally. I don't care about grinding camo, never have, I don't care what my lvl is. When all that's left is the gameplay itself , it's not a game I can sit down and play for more than a few matches without a break. It desperately needs some balancing changes for sure but even after that I don't think this game will ever rly hook me.

Garbage game. Until they fix the net code/hit detection, the game will never be good. And until they remove all the superpowers, such as Invisible Woman and her brother, the Human Torch, and all that trash, the game will never be great.

while Xdefient will never dethrone call of duty, I'm enjoying it a lot, its the best free to play game out right now for first person shooters at least. i would like to see some weapon balance and additional features. the shotguns need major buffs to be viable, ATM they are very inconsistent, pistols are too weak, I've died more times swapping to a pistol than i can count.
The hit registration in this game is properly the worst I've experienced in any shooter; it needs major work. The bunny hopping is still bad, needs to be toned down. a small thing, but it would be nice if they were blood clouds when shooting opponents, it would add more visual feedback. the Duel sense controller's haptics feel very weak in Xdefient too, yet the Xbox controller there is strong vibration. a weapon inspect feature would be welcome. melee takedowns would be nice to have too with various animations. these could be added to future battle passes as rewards.
I just wish the ttk was faster. I know that’s a hot take but some of the most fun I have in FPS is putting together 3-4-5-6 multikills and it just feels impossible in this game. Further more I think it would take a lot of cheese out of the gun fights when you shoot some one and they slide crouch jump crouch slide and kill you
Yeah the bots are annoying, the fire is annoying, the net code with dying behind walls sucks.
The amount of things that are annoying and that suck in cod is a much longer list.
My mate has a good idea for the jump shot snipers, make weapon sway crazy while jumping. Simple. No one triple jumps to shoot anyways
Honeymoon phase is over, for a free game. Not much to say other than the game was popular on release and will remain relative until they harm the community that has formed around this game already. I think it's a fun game, not my cup of tea, but it does feel like the type of game I'll be able to hop into after a few months have passed and get right back into it.
Only issue with XDefiant is Ubisoft, but as long as they don't drastically change the gameplay and progression, start locking progression behind purchases and adveritising microtransactions with zero way to permeanently disable advertisements, than I can see the game getting better and better as time goes on. Only way to go, is up.
XDefiant is just another generic hero shooter and looks like it should be on ps3 the finals is way better mechanically, visually and esthetically.
The only issue I have 1: There is No ammo pick ups or caches. Unless someone is carrying the same weapon, you cannot get more ammo. Maybe they will get some kind of ammo system so you can resupply.
As long as they don't put a Warzone type mode in the game where they spend all of their time, and money like COD. I would like a hardcore and free for all mode. I think this game is only going to get better.
I agree partially that it would be a good system addition but I also disagree how this could be seen as a priority. With 30 hours of game play I rarely ever run out of ammo in my primary gun and in the rare occurrences that I do, I just grab the gun of the person I just killed and run with that. They already have an extended mag/ammo system so I think they are better putting their developer resources towards something else like general UI improvements. Down the road the ammo system would be nice but with the average life being so short, it just seems like an afterthought.

I still play the game and I love it! Maybe it’s because I limit myself to playing a few times a week so it’s still fresh.
6 weeks in or however many and it’s still the best shooter available but the preseason is stale (obviously that’s going to change very soon)
I got to level 84 and then quit. Its a terrible game, I can't force myself to go back to it. Once new cod comes out, its over for this game.

They need to do some heavy balancing for the abilites, I enjoy the game but there is nothing more annoying than play the OBJ only for a cleaner to run around the corner & blow up at your feet & you can do nothing about it, takes away the actual skill of the game! Same with the Spider bot & Intel suit, who thought literal wall hack every 20s was a good idea 😂

I disagree on the sniper flinch. I cook snipers now, I have even had pistol kills on snipers since the change (with effective jump strafing along with the flinch). Now if they miss their first shot, it is usually over, which is really how sniper engagements should be if they don't get to cover after missing a shot.

The bunny hop mechanic has been used in fps for so long. I will tone it down one more time. After the second jump instead of idle sway the momentum suffers.
Yeah combined with the netcode and how you can switch direction mid air, it's basically the best way to play the game... Pretty sad

Are you trying to get better? I do agree the snipers are annoying. The jumping is also annoying, but the nerf was done correctly. Sweats will be in the game regardless. Its an fps shooter with zero skill based matchmaking. Its going to be a mixed bag of everything. I get a mixed bag of everything when i play this game. Its fun to me because of how simple the gameplay is. How easy the matchmaking system is. This game isn’t perfect, but its addictive (to me rather).
I just want a cool realistic theme (like BO6) as an arcade shooter (likr BO6) but without SBMM and with post launch content that enhances the theme and atmosphere instead of completely ruining it like MWIII. I know Treyarch said they will start with more immersive skins but will expand to more out there content later on. At least I hope they make it fitting for the era and theme unlike MWIII which goes absolutely insane (in a bad way). At least make it still feel like the time era. I miss MP also having a soul and atmosphere that makes it stand out compared to the others.
I enjoy xDefiant a lot but it sadly doesn't have its own universe and is a mix of everything.

I don't even like CoD very much (I mean I _really_ don't like it, not even the older ones), but somehow I'm really enjoying XDefiant. There's just something about it that keeps me coming back. The matchmaking feels a lot more fair than other games, the character abilities aren't unreasonable to deal with (unlike CoD's Killstreaks always blowing up half of the map), and the game is just plain fun.
If _I_ think it's fun, they've got something truly special on their hands.

I don't like XDefiant, I don't play the game, but I don't see the issue with snipers? They adressed the flinch, what more do you want? If they make the ADS slow, snipers will become useless and no one will use them, unless you want people camping and hardscoping corners all game? XDefiant is a fast paced arcade game, all guns need to be viable for aggressive play styles. Sounds like bitching for the sake of bitching tbh.
Depends how season 1 goes tbh. I don’t think the game will die, simply for the fact it’s free, but the game certainly lacks identity. So I’m curious what they’ll do to drag people back in. I don’t want the game to die, but I’m looking at the game from a realistic perspective.

I uninstalled XDefiant. The lobbies don't feel any different than modern CoD to me. Every lobby is a sweat fest. My kd in CoD since BO2 has always been 1.5+. My kd in XDefiant is .5. Idk if it's the netcode screwing with me, but it's damn near impossible for me to get a kill with any of the ARs or smgs. I do pretty well with the snipers, but I've always preferred ARs and smgs. As for non SBMM, it doesn't feel like it to me. I remember how lobbies were before SBMM, and these lobbies don't feel like it to me. I have yet to get into a lobby where I'm not sweating myself to death trying to win games and stay alive. The only thing that reminds me of OG CoD, is when my team is getting stomped, I'm usually #1 on my team. I want to like XDefiant, but until the netcode is fixed, I'll be playing other games.

Why are people still obsessed with their k/d ratio? Nobody can see it in game. This game is 90% all objective modes k/d is a pointless stat
@robertadams1558 because that's how we rated each others skills back in the day. The higher your kd, the better player you were. I was always an objective player, and I still had a positive kd in CoD. Someone talking trash in the lobby? "1v1 me bro, and we'll see if you can back up that mouth." Was the usual response. If you had a high kd, chances are they'd shut up and back out. But most would put up or shut up. Man, those were the days! No hackers, games came out 99% - 100% complete.
The sniping nerf didn’t feel like it changed much because nobody wants to admit these snipers might actually just be good at the game and learn to adapt to the flinch

No Point to buy anything or grind anything... BTW will the Chamo Bug get fixed i got an AK47 in Silver and Gold but the Bronce Chamo is MIssing since the stupid Update.

I thought it was just me who continuously lands bullets on a sniper whilst they are hard scoping and it doesn't look like they have any flinch.
I even come across someone who was just spamming jump and seemed to be getting no accuracy penalties.
I felt like the net code had been resolved for me after the update, but last night I've gone back to dying round corners as though the net code has just broke or something.
One more thing. Remove spiderbot. Obnoxious playstyle. I came across my worst kind of player last night. Deadsec spider bot sniper with prox mines just sat at the back of the map 🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮 4 of my most hated things combined into one.
Just wouldn’t be a video if you didn’t mention SBMM. Let it go people. The game isn’t “rigged” when it places you with players in your skill bracket. God SBMM is the biggest cope of the last few years.

I havent been on since I tried out Elden Ring. Havent felt that from a game since Legend Of Zelda Ocarina of Time on N64. Not many games can you give a 10/10, but its one of them. I will be back tho. Prob season 1
Have they ever explained why lobbies disband even if there's no SBMM? When I find a good lobby and want to stay in it, I'm just out of luck. Having a decently fun time with the game, though it's getting stale - way too few maps, and also not enough guns and camos to work for.
I would just love to know how these UA-camrs get shit lobbies in a no SbMm game and I still get level 200 plus every game. I do fine I got a 1.7 kd but I rarely find a lobby I can drop 100 in anymore and my skill rating is higher
I still prefer COD but honestly I’m over this era of gaming. It feels so stagnant and other than slight graphic improvements every few years, barely anything innovative happening. How were fps games more enjoyable fifteen years ago?

I haven't been able to play since the second xp weekend. Due to no fault of my own the game completely bricks my $3k pc. I've had little to no help from ubi support. Overall the preseason has sucked for me. I love the game and really wanted to play. But I can't.
I disagree with what you said about sniper flinch. The nerf is *very* noticeable when I'm playing with a sniper and I know that everyone else has the same amount of difficulty with it. When I kill someone with a sniper by controlling the flinch, I know that I deserved that kill. Same thing goes when it's the other way around. When I shoot someone with a sniper and they kill me despite the flinch, they deserved that kill.
Maybe it's just a different mentality that I have where I appreciate the skill of my opponent in frustrating moments, like getting one-shot. Perhaps that's also why I didn't get frustrated after dying behind a wall, because I knew I would've died anyways, if the netcode issues were resolved. In that case I can also understand the anticlimactic feeling players get when they thought they barely survived, but still ended up dying. That, however, is very different from dying to a sniper, as it is purely tied to the skill of my opponent instead of any issues with the game or connection

I enjoy the game but my GOD idk if I’ve ever played a sweatier game. I don’t see how SBMM is a problem. It makes sense, a new player isn’t going to come back to play the game because of the skill gap.
been playing cod since cod4. Enjoying xdefiant a lot, the frustrations i get are mostly similar to Overwatch with my team mates. Otherwise i find myself having more than I've had in CoD in a few years.

The honeymoon fase was over for me when they hardly nerved the bunny hopping and the OP snipers. Because of those 2 ingredients the game feels like it's a horrible sweat fest full with " get gud, skill issue, living in a basement " nerds. Getting shot around a corner or emptying a clip inside someone without doing any damage were the last nails in the XD coffin. Deleted it a few weeks ago!
I'm having a hard time playing with how bad the networking is. I've genuinely never seen a game have it be this bad. Half of your shots dont register. Youll die a few seconds after being around a corner. It's pretty ridiculous.
Im still having issues here and there. Getting shot through walls, having to push the grenade button 3 times to finally get it to be thrown, and some hitteg/latency issue thats especially noticable with the m16 or the snipers. I'll get two hit markers sniping, but get killed, and the other guy will only have taken damage as if he only got hit once. This is usually paired with me respawning and immediately shooting a shot as if the 2nd bullet didn't get register so it compensates by shooting it as i spawn.
Oh and they need to nerf spiderbot man, seeks you out and stuns you for 5 seconds, drains like half your health and can even kill you, and cancels your alts/ability.
Also feels like theres a weird ttk discrepancy. Sometimes it feels like i need a full 2-3 seconds to kill someone, and there'll be times where im 2 seconds into shooting somebody and they just flick and it honestly feels like im dying in 2 shots.
Lastly i think they need to bolster the damage graphics when you get shot. I noticed i was in a gunfight shooting a guy and the only reason I noticed i was taking damage was because of the fire bullets. No red screen, no damaga sound, nothing. I wonder if this also plays into why sometimes it feels like you die faster than you think you should because you cant tell you're initially taking damage til your health is already low enough to prompt the red screen.
The echelon intel suit fix is simple: make the Intel a flash point, instead of live tracking. That way you can know where people in the vicinity are - but don't have the ability to prefire the exact moment they run around the corner. You have the slight edge of knowing where people are but not full OP wall hack live tracking of their movement.
Is it still mid? People won’t admit it because “it’s not cod” and “ there’s no sbmm!” but the game looks feels and like a generic free to play from 2015
I think with COD your expectations are more because you paid money for the base 6v6 multiplayer. XD is free, so you’re a little more lenient.
Games weak
Enjoying game, sometimes feel like EOMM but I think it is hit detection which is better but still needs work. Snipers need to be buffed, I snipe sometimes and fill I have an advantage when I do as flinch is almost nonexistent.
When I played xfediant while it was fun I only played a bit to get a feel for the game. Let me say what I played I saw potential. Unfortunately I am a search and destroy player. I can respect people choice of playing respawn modes but I have the most fun playing 1 life kind of modes. This is why xdefiant became not fun for me. I will be playing it again once search comes to the game.
cod fans are down so bad that they have to cope with this plastic, corporate, sluge meant to play catch up w/ the popularity of overwatch a decade ago, but it was delayed so far out that both bliz and activision shot themselves in the foot, the head, and the heart multiple times. I'm glad people are enjoying it, but this game is still hot garbage, art by committee, compromise on compromise, 'we need to make something profitable' media. With love...
The bunny hopping has got to go, #1 source of me alt F4ing this game. The main problem is the ability to strafe mid jump, I cannot track anyone doing that.
I’m not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but that same “bunny hop” nerf is present when you spam crouch as well. After about 4 consecutive crouch/uncrouch, you receive that same idle sway

The need a faction cap asap , max 2 players for each faction .
It would spice up the gameplay and force people to use their abilites properly i,e not just throwing down a mag shield to win a 1v1 .
It would also stop annoying spams such as a team full of echelon , a team full of phantoms and a team full of ded sec !
