I wouldn't have thought of that image aa it's not my style but Wow, this looks fantastic. I adore this peice so much. Brilliant 👏
You make this look so easy. Can't wait to decoupage on my next piece. Thanks !!
I found you by accident and I’m so glad I did. You are rockin in this vid… ordered some decoupage from you and now I can get to know who you are. 🤪🥰
oh thank you so much!!! I still have this coffee table and still love it :)
Having NEVER decoupaged anything, I feel my fear lessen as I watch you transform this table into something stunning. The rustic wood texture adds so much to the final product, and saves days of sanding and striving for a smooth surface before applying the paper. I would never had expected this decoupage could be done on a surface that isn't perfectly smooth. I hope to see the final outcome. I was really hoping you would put a black laquer finish on the legs.
I bought a wooden room divider screen that has vinyl (wallpaper?) panels that I am hoping to cover with decoupage. I'm wondering now if I need to remove the vinyl in order to get the decoupage to adhere, or if I simply sand it rough, if that would be enough to get the new papers to stick. At any rate, I will first paint the individual wooden panel pieces and hardware, and then I'll decide on how to apply the decoupage to the center areas that are currently vinyl covered. Fingers crossed for an outcome as good as this!
Thank you so much for sharing your videos!
If it’s just a cabinet front decoupage, is wax a good sealer?
Looks awesome..can I ask what else can you seal it with?
Not sure why she doesn't list what she uses & why but depending on where you live, a good water-based varnish is budget friendly (e.g. Cabot's Cabothane or Timber Protect - both available at Bunnings if you're down under). 3-4 coats gives a pretty durable finish. I prefer a satin finish rather than gloss as it hides a multitude of 'sins' while still giving a lovely smooth feel to your piece. Gloss shows up every flaw! If you're in the US then there's so much to choose from at very reasonable prices - from real budget at Walmart to reasonable prices at Lowes or Home Depot, not to mention Amazon as shipping within the USA is cheap. Hope that helps :)
