  • Welcome back.
    As I’m quite new to the YT world I wanted to get a few videos out there.
    This was actually a FB reel I created to show off one of the new release Mint By Michelle decoupage papers last year.
    I’ve always been quite unprepared for all my demonstrations. The only plan I had was a vision in my head LOL.
    Anyhoo this makeover turned out so good I thought I’d slow it down and explain the process.
    Hope you enjoy. Feel free to ask questions.

    Glad to find your channel. I have a small YT channel and just retired from 29 years of nursing. I decoupage and paint small decor pieces and want to learn how to blend paint around the designs and to give depth to my work. I already learned a lot from watching this video - looking forward to watching/learning more from you!

    Well done Von! As a suggestion, would you consider showing us from the start, how you prep and repair the piece before commencing decoupaging? Also, would you let us know how many hours from beginning to end a project takes you? Many thanks for being so generous in sharing your talents 👏👏👏

    Beautiful Von.
    Where and what type of sponges have you used?
    I’m looking to use this paper on a crystal cabinet. Just love the sponging technique 😊

      They were a set of sea type sponges I found at Bunnings.

    How did you cut out around the drawers?
    I might have missed it but wondering why you stenciled and then covered with stippling.
    I’m new to all of this so I have so many questions.

    • @VonBooFurniture
      @VonBooFurniture  4 місяці тому

      I used a sharp blade to slice between the drawers when the paper was dry.
      The stenciling is a raised stencil made with structure paste. I was after textured surface

    Can you spray polyacrlic- water based?

    • @VonBooFurniture
      @VonBooFurniture  2 місяці тому

      You can get waterbased spray, however waterbased will reactivate the paper. That’s why I don’t use it

    When you say top coat for attaching paper. What top coat are you using

    • @VonBooFurniture
      @VonBooFurniture  2 місяці тому +1

      I’m probably using a Pureco Matt or satin topcoat. But anyone will do the job
