This team has a great energy now and it's great to see the boost in athleticism on the field with Dubon and Loperfido getting playing time. This team doesn't give up!
I've never seen Altuve so heated. What a God awful call. Seems like these umps and even nature were against us, but we still came out on top! Bullpen came through big time! Best team in the MLB in June! Keep winning, boys!
I don't often say this, most of the time I roll my eyes over "the umpires were against us" comments.....but this series was pretty bad. "Oops I called a foul tip on a ball in the dirt that Cabbage didn't so much as flinch at and now a ball 4 I think is 3-2". Hell even the REVIEW of that took forever....
@@imnotcreativeenoughh I'm the same way with the "umpires were against us" comments. Most fans that say that are just chronic whiners. But that call on Altuve was egregious. You can literally see the path of the ball alter its course because it came into contact with Altuve's cleat. And it's important to remember that 'Tuve rarely gets heated. That was like his second ejection in his thirteen year career.

I don’t know why they don’t use the review shots to determine if the ball had indeed hit Altuve’s foot or why they won’t allow the coaches to challenge the call in such a situation. We all know those umps make mistakes all the time with their calls so it’s only right to allow the coaches to challenge such a ridiculous call!
The moment Abreu was cut we became the best team in baseball.

He's not a worldbeater, but Singleton gives us a little more offense than Abreu and he's decent defensively. Is he the first-baseman for the rest of the season?
Good lord, it felt like EVERYTHING was against us in this series. Bad luck, bad defense, umpires fucking awful, and even God and nature tried to screw us over. Came out with 2 outa 3 against the other hottest team in MLB, ON THE ROAD. That's an impressive series win.

What the hell has Chaz McCormick been swinging at lately? He seems to swing at everything outside the zone and gets called strikes laying off pitches in the zone
@mikew2161. I was honestly thinking of the same thing especially when he came back in the 11th inning with the first two pitches. The first one nearly hit his face and he still swung at it and let go of a clear middle middle

Been thinking about that. He’s too keyed up. I think his lack of playing time with Myers getting all the reps has caused him be over aggressive at the plate when he does get at-bats. Also once he’s behind in the count (which is often) he tosses his approach and swings away. You’ll know he’s settled in emotionally if he is able to work deep in counts even if he does make an out.
@@grxengine this is who Chas is. Last year was his career year, every player has one. It does seem like he's completely given up on going the other way though, he's trying to pull everything.

12:26. You can clearly see the ball redirected off his foot. These umps had a bad day. This wasn’t the only missed call. Thankfully none of that mattered.
I said yesterday that we need to take more advantage of the suspension of Mets' closer Diaz, or we make the game not close. Well, at the end, we did both!

@ACHTX I've never not been convinced about Diaz, anything I've said against him was 100% sarcastic.
As for Espada, I've also not so much been against him, as I've been just frustrated with how Dusty was treated while he was here, particularly last year. I said opening day that I thought Espada would be just fine, and the only time I've actually said anything against Espada was that first game against the White Sox where I said he might not be our guy. But also said in that same thread in response to someone saying he should be fired that you can't make that judgement halfway through his first year. As far as what I think of him? I think I need to see how we do in the playoffs. The team is good enough to make it. Can he handle the postseason.
