What a charming, delightful, humorous, dedicated and highly informative Shakespeare researcher and presenter Bonner Cutting is - one of the best out there. Her presentations are a joy to listen to and watch. Excellent work!

I really enjoy Ms. Cutting's presentations and the way she unearths old records and breathes life into them. The way this topic is presented is so perfect in the way it focuses in on one important detail as if she's dissected a slice of history and mounted it on a microscope slide. Thanks and love the channel.

If I were to have ever decided to embark on research surrounding Shake-speare, it would never occur to me in a thousand years to research 'second best bed' in his W&T. Fantastic presentation! You have broadened my world and understanding of both his times and W&T's. I am close to my own demise so I think I will leave my second best dress to someone!!! Kidding!

So William of Stratford (having written the most profoundly beautiful, powerful and majestic philosophical prose of all time) was too tight; lacking in grace and mean to leave his wife anything to live on after his death - such a sweet, romantic man. No one that petty and vindictive writes great literature - only debt collectors and petty small business traders act in such ways.

I've read a decent number of original wills/inventories, made in the US (VA/MD) during the late 1600's and early 1700's, and seen the words "second best bed" a few times so I'm surprised at the reaction people have to this term. Usually, the eldest son/daughter got the majority of the estate with the widow being cared for by them.
I've found lots of errors in transcripts so I wouldn't ever rely on those and because we have so many records on microfilm its fairly easy to go to the original...libraries and LDS.

Thank you. What a pleasure to find this presentation. It has given me a greater understanding of my own English ancestors, possible grudges that have been held for 400 plus years..❤ ...and stories yet to be discovered.
