A brilliant comprehensive review for anyone looking for a lightweight 400 bike with an A2 licence or someone who wishes to do some light off-road trail riding. Keep up the good work, TBAB.
24:27 About the flashing screen.. for the 1st 1000km the bike needs to 'run in' and shouldn't go over a set amount of rpm. After the 1000km service the flashing goes away. If you check your urban riding section it also flashed so it's not related to speed limits 😊
Great video as usual, I think the Svartpilen would be my choice. By the way, the Svartpilen has a slightly larger rise in the handlebars than the Vitpilen.
That back end in combination with her inner values - what a beauty! I've just testrode and bought my Svartpilen😍(it's a SHE for obvious reasons...). Thanks for the nice review. Though honestly I am hoping you get your hands on a Svartpilen 801 to test. As that bike I am seriously interested in as an option for a second bike .
I think it's the flashing of the rev limiter. First 1000 km they flash at around 6.000rpm and above, after the first service they open it up. At least that was the case with my 2023 model
Great video as always. Think I would chose the Svartpilen as it has a cleaner look. Great that you can get to ride so many different models. Well done, stay safe, ride well 🤓 💖
Picked up new Svart last week as a first bike, very nice bike. But can't wait for first service and to be "unlocked" because now max out on 6500rpm and 110kmh, you can feel that bike is limited.

Okay so yesterday I test rode the Vitpilen 401 and today the Speed 400. What I can say is that the Vitpilen definitely has more power and feels quicker. However, the Speed 400 feels A LOT more premium in terms of build quality (and it also sounds nicer imo). it is also very nimble, but not as quick as the Vitpilen... I'd say the Speed 400 is more of an all-rounder, but both bikes have their strengths.
@@Pfannkuchenkanone Thank you for the heads up! I'll probably testride the speed 400 and the svartpilen 401 next weekend myself, but it's always helpful to get someone elses opinion on the matter! From your description, the speed 400 seems to be the more interesting one for me.
