The thing about all those Ozark Trail knives is that they're mostly running 3Cr13. No, not 8Cr but 3Cr, a steel often used to make liners, steel scales, etc. It just doesn't hold an edge.

Where I live, we avoid wallyworld at all costs. Mainly because the traffic around the store sucks. We actually don't have too many "people of walmart" though.
You’re lucky. I live outside of Des Moines and the Walmart with the Sams Club has 2 police car’s permanently located there plus 6 security units.
@@RadDadisRad that's because Walmart is a extremely high crime area I live in BFE and the police patrol Walmart as their assigned location. And plenty show up for assistance. But people will walk out with 20 enormous jugs of laundry detergent and TVs in carts any time or hams/ turkeys it's sorta strange but not uncommon if you look online it happens all over the country

There was that one cool multi tool I saw today for $50 in another video. I forget his name but he does flashlights a lot and just other things. It had the top where you can pop and change the blade and it locks back together very easily but the thing that was cool about it was the size of the scissors and had a whole Nother handle come out dude it was sweet

I'm a big fan of Ozark Trail products, affordable and well worth the money.
I bought that $10 black handle multi tool to use on an environmental job, about 5 years ago. It held up well for a month. The blade stayed sharp for a decent amount of cardboard and poly rope cutting. The pliers were good. The real gripe was the Phillips screwdriver. The edges are not sharp enough to keep engaged in the screw head. I had to trash the tool after the job was over. Other than that, I would buy it again if I was in need.
I got a multi tool pliers with the stainless handles and flash light of that brand. Honestly they are pretty good. Haven't failed or giving me any problem. Pretty decent for the price.

Yeah me too... I stopped by my local WM yesterday and found one (!!) axis lock knife left. It's behind the locked glass case, if anyone near the Mountain View CA store wants to snag it. They also had two of the red handle ball bearing flippers left... snagged them both.
Its interesting to see how much larger the outdoor section is in more rural Pennsylvania versus a city walmart where I live currently. We have absolutely no selection of these cheap knives...
I havent tried any of those multi tools but I've never had luck with any other lower end versions before.
The 5 piece combo set kind of sucks, imo. Pivot keeps loosening, blades keep hitting the frame, and when you add too much loctite the scale soaks it up and explodes (assist spring provides the final push).

I was at my local Walmart rite before Christmas and found one of the Ozark trail knives that everyone is after just laying on a shelf, so I snatched it up

Hey man, been watching your channel for years, started back in the bali flipping days. Have you tried the Gerber Center Drive? I think I saw it in the case in the beginning. I bought one for construction, put a pocket clip on it and haven't spent a day without it for over a year. The knife, pliers, and driver are great and easily accessible which is great because I use those tools more than anything. Thanks for all the videos!

I do have the multi tool, it's not bad for 10 bucks, I am spoiled by my leatherman signal. I enjoy the locking tool set that us the biggest down fall of the ozark trail
I have the $10 multi tool . It’s great . The $5 one sucks ass but the $10 one is impressive . It’s been a sleeper . I said something a few times In comments that it’s a value but nobody gives a shit . It’s nice and clicky once oiled and broken in glides like a cold steel 👍👍👊. The carrying case alone is $10
I have the Ozark trail multi tool and it’s not bad out of the packaging and the blade is sharp but I just went right to a leatherman after 2 months of carrying the Ozark trail one
That multi tool is not bad I do have one and it works fairly well especially if I’m out in the woods and I don’t wanna use my expensive one like my Gerber, but my Gerber is the best, of course

That's crazy for a buck 110 I got mine in 2017 for 30 bucks it's wild it's doubled in price I love it but don't edc much due to weight and other obvious reasons but for that price you can get Alot of different knives id it's a bit overpriced it's a great knife don't get me wrong but that's a hefty tag for it

Not really sure why someone would want 3 almost identical version of the same knife. Seems like they could've mixed up the different sets a bit.
On the surface, it doesn't make much sense to most people to buy 3 of the same pocket knives, but the multiple knives would be good for putting in multiple places for once in a while usage like a tackle box, glove compartment, or tool box.
And also I live by the Wilkes barre, Walmart. I should mention that I am in Pennsylvania to.

I couldn't recommend enough getting a leatherman multi-tool best choice I ever made I use it almost every day.
Don't get a cheap multi-tool it will fail you when you need it most.
Edit: I recently just got my first leatherman from my wife before that i carried gerber and the quality difference is remarkable.
Trust me I felt the same way until I got the victorinox Swiss X and it blows all the rest out of the game. Zero interest in Leatherman now I've got multiple models it's just not good...
Edit I carried Leatherman for decades I thought victorinox was too costly don't make the same mistake I did.

I hate the way they display their knives😒🙄 Back in the 90s they were displayed nicely in the case, and they had 6 or 7 different Swiss Army knives. Now they only have 2. They need to up their knife game.
