Just want to thank you, Justin, for how much you've helped me today with this and your Sketchup essentials video. I am a novice woodworker taking on a kitchen cabinet project and have spent hours and hours searching for affordable software to transform my pencil sketches into a helpful planning sketch. You just saved me time and money (I did buy the kitchen plugin extension) and really appreciate what you're offering on your channel!
Great program but have a look at Cabinet sense plugin for sketch up. All componets are dynamic and it gives you the option to export all parts ready for the cnc with all holes to holes ready to drill and dado is and rabbits. Customize all hardware drawer slides pulls handles.
Will take a look! GKWare Cabinet Maker (ua-cam.com/video/GgEhne-g2n4/v-deo.html) is also an excellent cabinet creation extension, though I don't think that it can export to CNC. Thanks!
TheSketchUpEssentials I tried it has a good foundation. Cabinet Sense has way more power and customization and the ability to create your own MDF door profiles. Custom drilling
I have a Mac and am currently using the WEB hosted version. Is there a free installation of sketchup for mac... It's saying I can't run plugins on the web version.
Many thnaks Justin, this looks ideal for my small joinery business. I read in the comments below that the plugin creates dynamic components, does this mean that it will work with the CutList plugin? Keep up the great work
Do you only need the extension while you are making the drawing? What happens to your drawing when you stop paying for the extension? Thx for the great videos.
My understanding is that even if you stop paying, you maintain access to the drawing you created. These are actual dynamic components within your model, so I think that once they're in, they're in. Haven't really tested this though. Thanks!
If you mean the online version, I don't believe so. The online version doesn't support extensions. If you mean the downloadable 2017 Make version, it should
Price seems rather steep for the limited features you get with the extension. Some simple coding for an input dialog and some preset selections doesn't warrant a $10/month subscription in my opinion, especially when it lacks manufacturers catalogs, standard sizing, material specs, quantities and pricing takeoffs, etc. I'd certainly pay $10 one time or a lower monthly fee, but asking $10/month for this is pretty ballsy of the dev.
@@Thesketchupessentials obviously. That's how the free market works. I'm just saying if you were to put a price on comparable features from commercial software, and only those features alone, $10/month is way too much.
No idea - the dynamic components that you download would remain no matter what. I guess you just wouldn't pay the monthly cost anymore and they wouldn't add new content?
I downloaded a kitchen set from the warehouse. When I went to customize a single cabinate (scale it) it snapped back to the original size it was. any tips or info on this problem?
I don't think it's a problem - I think it's a feature...You need to adjust the size using the dynamic component options, not the scale tool. Does that make sense?
It's actually a great extension, but the support is horrible. If you decide to pay for this, just know that if there is an issue, you will get no support or it will take weeks to get a reply.
@@Thesketchupessentials One of the cabinets breaks up when using metric system. Simple fix, the guy is there, but probably very busy and not interested in the extension anymore. The extension is still great, I would pay for it again as it just checks all the boxes for me. But they should state that you pay for it as it is and there is no support.
Ненужная хрень. Всё это можно с таким же успехом хранить в собственной библиотеке, растягивать до нужных размеров. В общем эта программа, на сколько помогает, ровно на столько же обременят. Пожалуй обременят больше, чем помогает.
TheSketchUpEssentials May be I'm weird, but I earn money using SU. If there is a product which saves me time or allows me to serve my clients better, I've got no problem paying. Do Extension creators live in a different world to ours, where they eat for free, have free accommodation and no outgoings whatsoever?
Bikerchris hey im a freshgraduate interior designer, and now im broke as fk. i love this extension but now I cant handle ths. hope some day I will get some money to buy extension.
I do sympathise with you, but as you have limited funds and (presumably) don't have an income, you'll just have to do things manually for the time being. If you keep at it, the time will come when you do have an income, at that point you'll want to save time, that's when you'll buy extensions like this without hesitation. In the meantime, the Extension maker is just as human as you, he or she needs food, shelter and may even want luxuries like a hot shower - he can't have them by doing things for free. Do keep things in perspective and don't get down about being broke AF, if you're young and don't have rich parents, we've all been in that situation when younger. I'm guessing you have money for food (or it's provided for free) and a roof over your head, don't distract yourself with pity and commit to your Education. Do this and you'll be able to achieve anything you put your mind to. Good luck!

Thanks very much! Really glad that you found the video (and hopefully the extension) helpful!
A new kid is sketchup-cuisine. It has the best looking UI of any kitchen design extension.
This looks like a great asset for a kitchen and bath designer! Thank you for sharing this information.
It's awesome 😮
Thank you for sharing this Plug-in 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
How much does it cost to design a complete kitchen? just a design in SketchUp?
Thank you for this video! This will be a great tool for my home remodel planning.
Glad you liked it! It's amazing how much time you can save by not modeling the cabinet geometry yourself - thanks!
nice and good extension

Hello bro im new can i have a link for video to watch kitchen cabinets for beginners

Do they have upper cabinets or the only option is to modify a regular cabinet to be upper?
Do you only need the extension while you are making the drawing? What happens to your drawing when you stop paying for the extension? Thx for the great videos.

Does it create cutting list?
is SketchUp cloud the same as the desktop version? I cant afford the desktop version at the moment
No
am i be able to pull out blueprint from this program?
I am new to this and wonder if the extension will work with the free version of Sketchup? Thanks in advance.
If you mean the online version, I don't believe so. The online version doesn't support extensions. If you mean the downloadable 2017 Make version, it should
So how can you pull out blueprint from 3d model for installers?
The Plugin doesn't work..... any advice ?

I mean, I guess I'm not sure I'd consider $10 a month "ballsy" for anyone - he can ask what he wants and people can pay or not pay.

Will it create a cut list of the design?
I don't think so
I try and open the download and it says "Does not appear to be a Sketchup Model!" Any tips?
YOU NEED TO IMPORT THIS THROUGH EXTENSION MANAGER OPTION IN SKETCHUP
Being "cloud-based" what happens to this extension is the firm goes belly up?
No idea - the dynamic components that you download would remain no matter what. I guess you just wouldn't pay the monthly cost anymore and they wouldn't add new content?
coincidentally I am render a kitchen model now. Does this plugin work with sketch up 2017?
I didn't test it with 2017, but I believe that it does. Thanks!
hi I have a doute if I change cabinate size in dynamic components how should I change pull dimensions plzzzz tell meee
I don't understand the question...
$25 per month now if you want appliances, materials, and other typically necessary stuff.
Can you design my addition kitchen?
I'm not really a designer as much as an instructor...

can i import it to another software like lumion , if i only using trial version ?
I think so - I think once they're imported, they're a SketchUp model just like anything else

Fair comment - what sort of support did you need?

A little expensive
plugin cost bla bla bla, auto stop watching the video.
