Hello Rebecca. Thank you for that video. I'm not very good in english but i managed to understand everything you said ! You tell the truth . politeness on CC is important: I had colleagues who had been fired because they had a lack of this ( I work for a wellknown American high tech company french market ). Also, politeness and self control often transform a very upset customer into a partner who can go as well your way as his one! Have a nice day Rebecca !
Me too, during my first months in the company I was polite and courteous but after a year my good attitude changed like easily to upset specially to those irate and rude customers. 😊
I like your teaching style . It is elegant . I am a former preschool teacher , I remember when I worked with a preschooller I had to make many different tone of my voice as of my classroom situations , reading books for the kids it was a very good practice ..
Absolutely! good reminder as to how to treat each other...may not always realise it when being rude...we meet strangers everyday, everywhere at every turn...practise makes perfect, Thank you Rebecca, what a breath of fresh air!!
Hi Rebeca - I have had watched many of your videos. Simply superb. No doubt. You are really blessed for many learners.Your voice is like a river flow and your knowledge is ocean. Salute you. God bless you.
I thought I was crazy when I used to say: that person must be smiling during a phone call because it sounds polite and "happy" haha xD now I know the truth (tip)
When i answer, i usually am. Either because i was literally just laughing (usually) or i’m glad to help. I’m better than robert, but not as obviously prompted as Patricia. Off of the prompts given to her, i say something like “Thanks for calling (my company) this is Jake, how can i help ya? (and i say ya). “Alrighty then, i’ll get right on that/let me look that up real quick” “Pardon/sorry (insert reason i can’t hear or understand them)” “Anything else i can do for ya?” “And is there an Email address where we can contact ya if we need anything else (or send reciept, billing, shipping paperwork) “And ya just need the one? (Presuming the widget is only normally required as a single unit, i.e. driver side mirror) or “and how many of those to you need?” or, presuming i forgot how many they said when they called “you did say four [or whatever number i thought they said]” “And is that on your account? (It usually is, if i have to ask at all” “Thanks for calling” or “have a great one” or “have a great [insert holiday or weekend here]”
The hardest thing to get customers to do while engaged in business interactions with me as a call center agents is from them is to speak slow and clear...I can't say it enough: Slow down, because I am having to input information into a computer that requires many clicks and just as many different window screens.
not evry tech support do this kind,of things (like the robert charctr),that's why cstomers call for help/assitance,so give it to them, if u can help IF it is within the scope f ur training... 😊
Wow this is so inspiring! I have a Bachelor's degree with a professional license and working in a corporate office that pays well, after watching this video I am motivated to leave my current profession and be a call center agent. Really awesome! :-D
NASA has call center jobs and same with verizon call center job. One pays 150K a year the other is around 35K? I mean, I have like 5 mil heritage and career does not make any sense to me.
I work in an aviation call center. true dat. No one wants to listen to any polite words if you have an accent. And I think the lady's accent is almost there, but her tone is kind of boring. Americans go up and down, that's why they prefer Cantonese Accent, it is up and down and delightful to listen to. Kung Pao Chiken!
Rsssss don´t worry , David ; you are going play Patricia´s manners in your next job ! by all means you will overcome on your last job frustation ! Go ahead .
Hello Rebeca, I like the way you teach!! hey People I am learning english but I don't have anyone to practice so now i am looking for someone. If you would like to practice just let me Know. please people help me improve. I will be waiting!
Alexander Escobar Do you still need somebody to practice with...I recently started working for a call center and I still need a lot of fluency on the language... So please let me know...
Hello good morning May i help you How can i assist you today Just a moment pkease I am fraid i didnot hear what you said Could you speak a little louder please?
kunpomzaa wow that's a good thing to hear, I actually wanted to try this work but I hesitated after reading comments which most of them were kinda 'negative?' Hm... 🤔 do they record/listen to what your saying to the people over the phone? As in do they actually track down whatever you speak over the phone?
I'm going to work as an agent support and I could get all what you said, but why I can not understand native speakers 😭😭 I'm really nervous to make a mistake
Patricia was so me when i was a newbie. After a year I've become a Robert.
Why?
Try 2.5 years 😂
ML pa more 😂
Lol

Being polite in answering a call is a plus factor in any sales representative. From Texas
Thanks Rebeca. Your videos are very polite, Robert should watch them.

Her Video Makes Alot Of Sense In What She Saying Is The Correct Form🥰
Robert is a Tech Support agent. That is the difference.
You are right. They always expect you have the knowledge they have, so they aren't kind and patient.
not evry tech support do this kind,of things (like the robert charctr),that's why cstomers call for help/assitance,so give it to them, if u can help IF it is within the scope f ur training... 😊
