You should NEVER drive if you’re not sure it’s safe for you to continue driving. It’s not only unethical; it’s a crime.

Once I have to drive from one city to another falling in sleep. I stopped every forty five minutes and rested 15 minutes. It saved my life.

There is only one strategy and that is if you are tired you stop driving, Jay please don’t give unsafe and unhealthy advise to drives, if people need to drink couple 5 hours energy and splash water on their face to be on road then they should be on the road to begin with, it is ok not to post a video one week at least make a video that can help people don’t put driver’s safety at risk which this extend to rider’s safety and every motorist on the road

I used to be an expedite driver. They'd give me anything from 600 to 1300 mile runs that had to go straight there. Most of the time they went over night and delivered next morning. I drank soda for caffeine, used skoal only to get a quick pick me up, but i didn't use it to get addicted. But at around 2am to 5am I'd take an hr nap. You don't ever get to sleep, it's mkre to relax and get your eyes off the road. Found that the 1 hr mark was perfect. Then i could be up all day into the next day again. After that I'd need a long nap. Truck drivers call sleep/rest a nap. But openeing a window and getting out to stretch only buys you time. But that 1 hr nap will get you through til you get home or finish out your day. If you take less than an hr it's not sufficient. Any longer and youll jjst be tired and the rest of your driving time qill jist be brutal. I did 4.5 years of the constant driving. The first year i put 181,000 miles on the sprinter that i was driving. I slacked off after that but still did 8,000 to 11,000 miles per month after that. Never dozed off once. My eye lids would get heavy but if i got to that point i'd stop for an hr nap. Talked for hrs and listened to music and podcasts most of the time. And usually there was another driver that i needed to keep awake so it worked out. But don't drive drowsy. You'll miss stuff. Went through many a green light and looked in my mirror to see the other side of the road to see if theirs was green because i didn't remember if it was or not. After all of that being said, i did what i did and have seen alot of driving and can say most people aren't built for that kind of driving. So don't push it. I don't care if you're after money or the stupid things quests. They aren't worth it. You'll live to see another day if if it all goes right. But most people don't have good luck and will pay the price for being dumb. Hopefully this will help.

The only safe thing to do when feeling tired is pull over somewhere safe and sleep.
    There are no strategies.

A semi driver told me that when he feels tired and it's a cold day, he puts hands on the window from the inside.
Back in March, I started my day around 11 am. Around 12:30 pm, I yawned about 3 times sp I turned off Uber and started driving home. I rolled windows down and I felt a nice cold breeze on my face. I was able to drive until 8 pm.
Also don't drive if you feel tired. Go offline

If you’re tired to the point where you can’t focus on the road, go home.

Getting enough sleep the night before is better for me than all of these. I worry about the caffeine crash when it wears off

The only thing that works for me is power naps. I drive to the nearest Tesla supercharger, connect the car, and go to sleep.

Last month I picked up a rider at 2am 40min ride to west Hollywood from city of azusa. I was falling asleep parked while waiting for that ride already which was a bad start....most of the ride was the freeway and her drop off was not too far from the exit which is why I took it...I hop on the freeway and turned on autopilot in the tesla...20 minutes later I wake up and realize she was in my backseat still and I'm 2 exits away from her freeway exit...I essentially slept from duarte to glendale which is about 5 cities over and at least 15 miles!!!!!...luckily I turned around after I woke up and she was dead glued to her phone...she got dropped safely at the stip club (she was a stripper) and I autopilot back home...I can't believe a slept for 20 minutes with a passenger in the back, good think it was no traffic at all on the fwy since it was late

Driving tired means driving long hours which is now days not worth it 👎. Uber is keeping more than 50% of fares in most rides. Flat fares are garbage. Is much better to drive only during surge hours and make short rides. After that work in different apps to complete your money of the day. We need multipliers back. That’s when driving only for Uber is really worth it👍🏼
