Agree that boy is so very anxious, this will effect them psychologically for years to come. I can’t imagine being forced to live in such a pig sty. The girl is nervous too, but I think the boy seems worse, he was even too scared to say anything, she probably beats up on him the most. Psychological abuse is worse than physical !

It's visibly clear that these kids are afraid, and are in distress just by observing their body movements 🙁, Poor kids don't deserve to go through that and should be living their lives " STRESS FREE &, WORRY FREE WITH FRIENDS " I know that this episode is a few years old, but I truly hope that they're Happy Today with no burdens 🙏🏼💜

I remember being one of those kids. My mother is a terrible hoarder and would never keep a clean house. To this day she's the same way. We try to help for our youngest brother but she'll never keep up with it. Those kids probably feel like it's their fault because she blames them so much.

The mother is the problem! The kids are the ones that need a clean house, in a loving home removed from the mother! She needs to go to some kind of rehab for her utter dirtiness, learn how to live like a human, and how to treat children, because she clearly has no idea, if she still doesn’t get it they are better off removed from her completely and give those kids a chance in life.

These children are absolutely terrified; they've probably been told to say what Dr Phil wants to hear "or there will be consequences". I hope these children can be helped and placed with a relative whilst their mother gets herself sorted out. By relative I mean aunt/uncle, grandparents, cousins, godparents etc. If it can be avoided that they are put in a group home or split up and put with foster carers;then that's for the best.

For those who don't have a psychology degree, watch closely. When you are educated in psychology, you are able to coax and manipulate to get the answer you're looking to get. Notice how at first he said to the children they want guests over and the mother doesn't let them have guests over and later on changed it to the children don't invite guests because they are ashamed to have guests over. Most people aren't trained to pick up this type of manipulation but notice how the children answered yes to both. 2:25 3:45. (Dr. Phil doesn't do this) Good thing they didn't get CPS involved because I know some real foster home horror stories. My boyfriend is 51 and still cries about it and wishes they would have left him with his mom but she was on drugs. He would've rather been with a drug addict who loved him then abusers who hated him.

Those kids are old enough to feel ashamed of how their house is and how they smell. And I believe it's both that they want to invite friends over and Mom says no but then they are embarrased/ashamed of their house and don't want their friends over,

    • @samanthamoore8693

Are you seriously not getting it? It's ALL of that. The kids are embarrassed and ashamed of the home situation, they'd like to have people over to a nice home. The mom refuses to clean up, or let people in. AND They're afraid of the mom. Look at them shake!
They feel being truthful will be seen by mother as a betrayal because they've been heavily coached all their lives.

@@fairladykd6734 CPS doesn't allow friends to visit ever, if a child is old enough they can help clean. I know I'd never blame my parents and tell them to clean up so I can have my friends over. In a foster home, kids have to clean a lot.
