She doesn't have to prove her innocence. It's the job of a district attorney or law enforcement to collect enough evidence to charge her with a crime. Then, a jury & judge must be convinced of her guilt. If we start expecting suspects to prove their innocence, then anyone could accuse anyone else of anything with no evidence.

I don’t know why the audience is clapping for the Mom’s emotional manipulation. If they were in the girl’s shoes, they’d do the same thing as the girlfriend. The Mom is grieving, which I can understand, and I’m very sorry for her loss and her anguish. But it seems like she’s looking to just blame someone and not hold her dead son accountable for his behavior, which seems to be bordering on, or outright, harassment of the girlfriend. I think she needs grief counseling and therapy.
It won’t be over with, you are grieving, you will find something else to blame her for. What the girlfriend does will never know satisfy a grieving mother.
A teenager should not be forced and manipulated like this into a polygraph. Polygraphs are absolutely faulty and her grandpa is correct there is a ton of room for false implication there. It doesn’t mean she’s guilty when she refuses it means she’s smart.
Seeing as lie detector tests are legally inadmissable (because they cannot reliably detect guilt or innocence), a good lawyer would advise not to take one in any and every circumstance. It's a test that the law, scientists and the courts would ignore, but sadly the public are completely convinced by. Dr Phil needs to stop doing these tests. They tell audiences nothing but are presented as informative.
This mother is a monster with the constant guilt trips, you don’t have to prove ur innocence if you aren’t charged with something it just seems like the mother was mad with grief and looking for someone to blame
She doesn’t need that girl to take a polygraph test. She wouldn’t accept the results, unless she failed, and that wouldn’t bring her son back. I hope she can learn to deal with her grief.
Not how they work. They ask unrelated questions to set a baseline so it would adjust for your anxiety. The people who get false positives are the types who blame themselves for everything and the types who get false negatives are the opposite.
In my opinion this young lady is innocent because she's never said anything bad about him and most guilty girls would play the victim card and gaslight that person.
I actually can't believe the audience were clapping for the mum. My heart aches for her but if Malcom had ever loved Chloe, he wouldn't want her to take that test. He would want his mum to accept he's gone because of himself and for her to stop being in denial because of grief 😔 ☹️
but u don't know that he was gone because of himself. U are ASSUMING that she's innocent simply cuz she's a white chick. Girlfriends kill their boyfriends/husbands all the fukin time. It's nothing new. If she did kill, the guy would want her to be brought to justice and for his mom to know the truth
Mother is in the wrong I understand she lost her baby and she’s devastated but she said whether she’s telling the truth or not she’ll have a problem with her. That girl can’t win
Her grandfather is right. Anyone who disagrees is dumb. You need to listen to your attorney even moreso if innocent than guilty. You have rights for a reason.
My heart goes out to the mother but the Teenager is right about not wanting to take a polygraph. Even if she was to take it, and she passed with flying colors the Mother has already indicated that they will never be "Cool" and that there will always be something between them.
Idk this girl just give me bad vibes maybe she was just being a bratty girlfriend and it was a stupid accident but there's something about her that just rubs me the wrong way and let me tell u there is nothing stronger then a mother's gut instinct and if u feel that someone has harmed your child it's a feeling that is incredibly hard to shake so I feel for her immensely.
At first when I read the title I thought to myself wow she won't take it cause she knows she's guilty but after listening to her reasons why she doesn'twant to, I'm taking her side on not to and I think she's in a really hard position between doing so or not doing it.
I don’t think this girl was the cause for this young man’s unfortunate death. She seems to be genuinely sad and sorry that he’s gone. I get that the mother is grieving and she misses her son dearly. But the truth is, she’ll probably always blame the girlfriend, no matter what a polygraph test would say.
I don’t blame her at all. She and her grandpa are exactly right, they are easy to fail. She could just be nervous regardless and tell the truth but, still show a “lie”. I think the mom just wants someone to blame, I hope she gets some help. Don’t try to guilt her into it.

The mom saying that she wouldn’t like her and they would never be cool no matter what so why take the test if the mom still isn’t gonna like her and still gonna blame her?
Wow, I lost my cousin/bff when I was 13 in a similar situation and even at THIRTEEN i had (and still have) the brains not to blame the other person involved. I grieved, I didn't accept the loss, i fell into depre$$ion, but eventually i moved on. It is ridiculous for a GROWN WOMAN to blackmail a young girl like this!
So it’s ok to insult a woman (whose son passed away) about her wig, but when someone insults you about your makeup you call them a loser? I think the term I’m looking for here is ‘hypocrite’.
Pan Lubosiej Never judge someone who’s lost their child. Everyone grieves in their own way, you have no right to judge! I’m speaking from personal experience.
irrelevant, grief effects people differently. i've seen abuse cases where the victims lost in court not on a lack of evidence but rather for "not looking sad enough"
The clapping after the mother is literally trying to manipulate the girl with guilt just makes the mother feel more empowered and right. Yeah your son loves you and what not. But he wouldn’t want you making someone he loves feel like a monster for something she didn’t do. But who’s to say if she did or didn’t. I’m leaning more towards him falling as an accident.

@@JustAnotherBuckyLover you're confused. You're thinking of "lie detector". A polygraph is just a tool to obtain data. Now the science of the polygraph analysis to determine deceitfulness can be debated for sure. But a polygraph is not pseudoscience.
@@jaybayer3670 I am not in the least bit confused but thanks for demonstrating you can read my mind as well as a polygraph. LOL, You're splitting hairs about the polygraph and whether the fact that it measures actual physiological data makes it scientific. Yes, it reads physiological data. But suggesting that can interpret anything beyond that is pure pseudoscience and you know FULL well that's what a polygraph is about, nothing more, nothing less. I'm sure you're also fully aware that "polygraph" as in "I'll take a polygraph" is short for "a polygraph test" - which is purely meant in the context of the attempt to detect deceit. Your playing semantics is disingenuous.
There's a competition to polygraph, I just don't remember the name
The mom says that she will never be “cool” with the girl. Why should the girl care about that? She will never have a connection with them again.
Because many of Dr. Phil’s shows turn into Jerry Springer shows is why the audience clapped!
What I don’t get is why the mother wants her to be guilty so bad? My mother loves my girlfriend and wouldn’t even think she was capable of that.
Your mom would probably turn on your girlfriend if she stupidly wanted someone to blame for your death.
But blaming people doesn’t solve anything.. sticking together helps unless you have proof on the other person
Because she was already abusing her son, it gave her even more of a reason to believe it was the girlfriend.
Because she doesn't trust her
girl i wouldnt want to take one either i have terrible anxiety and you could fail so easily
If it was her that was dead and the young man refused a polygraph, I doubt everyone would be as understanding to him.
True
Exactly it’s cuz she’s yt. Read more about this case a lot of people believe she did it,
I can guarantee you if she took the test you wont move on.
Exactly
I agree. She wants to have an issue Right now. She said she won’t believe it either way so why should the girl take it
That lady is a piece of work. We all go through major losses in life but we have to move on. Hers is no worse
RUBBISH, SHE WILL MOVE ON. MOM FOR THE WIN.
Polygraphs are always a terrible idea. They can’t help, but can hurt
I’m not taking a lie detector test, I’m not putting my life in the hands of faulty equipment or the interpretation of an alleged expert
Every relationship involves arguments, it's not her fault that he died unless she really did do it on purpose.
It won’t be over with, you are grieving, you will find something else to blame her for. What the girlfriend does will never know satisfy a grieving mother.
I understand what the mother is going through but she’s pointing fingers without real evidence
This lady is a piece of work. We all go through major losses but we have to move on. Hers is no different
The audience can stop clapping lmao
No
@@taurusking_1997 yes.
THE AUDIENCE ARE RIGHT TO CLAP.
This mother is a monster with the constant guilt trips, you don’t have to prove ur innocence if you aren’t charged with something it just seems like the mother was mad with grief and looking for someone to blame
How you fall side ways over a railing with out being push
That part
He was drunk dummy
Being drunk , trust me I felt in some ridiculous ways and the handle of the staircase was just way to low
Easily, lose footing because you’re intoxicated. You’re asking a pro because I’ve did it twice and thank god it wasn’t too far and I hit grass.
First impressions are the girl is innocent
The whites in the comment section agree with you
@@StefanTheCannon whats race got to do with it? I can't tell if your being facetious
For me race has nothing to do with it. But I feel like that lady is pointing fingers at her without real evidence. I do wish they had an update
@@samadams2575 I agree with that
NO, SHE IS GUILTY. HENCE WHY SHE REFUSED TO TAKE THE POLYGRAPH TEST.
She doesn’t need that girl to take a polygraph test. She wouldn’t accept the results, unless she failed, and that wouldn’t bring her son back. I hope she can learn to deal with her grief.
If I was asked to take a polygraph test I wouldn't cause I have anxiety, so even if I wasn't guilty they would think I was.
Never incriminate yourself. Guilty or innocent
I'd fail. Even if I was innocent I'd be freaking out. Feel like those tests don't work properly for a lot of people.
There is a huge problem if she is innocent and that test showing positive. What will rest of the world and the young woman's family think??
I don’t agree with the mother. She’s pointing fingers without real evidence
Polygraphs are very unreliable and I wouldn’t take one either
Mother is in the wrong I understand she lost her baby and she’s devastated but she said whether she’s telling the truth or not she’ll have a problem with her. That girl can’t win
I agree. I understand what she’s going through but she’s pointing fingers without real evidence. I wish their was an update
Exactly. She’s a nasty lady
Actually on second thought..
A test might pick up on her feelings of guilt about his death as anybody would have if they felt they could have done more to prevent an accident.
“I just wanna go to work” yeah right....
I don’t agree with the mother. She’s pointing fingers without real evidence
@@samadams2575 I AGREE WITH THE MOTHER, SHE IS RIGHT. TAKE THE TEST.
Her grandfather is right. Anyone who disagrees is dumb. You need to listen to your attorney even moreso if innocent than guilty. You have rights for a reason.
The moms hair is just.....horrible. like the style is fine but my god it's floating 4 feet above her head! 😳
Ok emily
That ur comment..mother is greuvung over her son and the girl directly across from her is probably guilty..and you are talking about her hair???
@@Soyouareseparated u
@@Soyouareseparated yes LMFAO. Twas hilarious as well
Literally what I was thinking!! Like wtfffff.....
I wouldn't have taken one either... but then I wouldn't have gone on national TV about it...
She probably wouldn't take the polygraph because it's bunk science.
At first when I read the title I thought to myself wow she won't take it cause she knows she's guilty but after listening to her reasons why she doesn'twant to, I'm taking her side on not to and I think she's in a really hard position between doing so or not doing it.
The mother will never move on and never forgive whatever the result so the girl is on a hiding to nothing.
Bro this is my brothers baby mama and I never knew she made it to dr Phil
She’s acting like a nasty lady the mother
My attorney/grandfather 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Listen to your lawyer. Don't do something that you are highly advised against by a lawyer.
Do not take the test. How many times does she have to say no. No is an answer.
So basically the mom claims she would never leave him but then accuses her of killing him .. yes makes PERFECT sense
How dare that mother guilt that girl
dare?... why?
I don’t blame her at all. She and her grandpa are exactly right, they are easy to fail. She could just be nervous regardless and tell the truth but, still show a “lie”. I think the mom just wants someone to blame, I hope she gets some help. Don’t try to guilt her into it.
maybe she feels guilty. coz in a way she did cause it. maybe by picking a fight with him when he's walking up the stairs
WTF? his death still wouldn't be her fault though. If you watch the full episode....it says he was intoxicated.
@@lannabryanna I think they're saying that even though she didnt cause it she may still feel guilty bc they were fighting and then he tripped so if maybe she feels a little guilty about what happened the lie detector test might show that and say shes lieing
Accidents happen. Especially if you are intoxicated. The mother is a bully!
Naw, she looking someone to blame, irregardless of facts or a test, she still is going to look someone to blame, and the girl is right, not to take the test !
Exactly she’s pointing fingers without real evidence

She’s a nasty lady
If your innocent, you have nothing to hide.....so take the poly if your innocent!!!
because she didnt prove shes innocent, does not make her guilty
Exactly. That nasty lady is assuming without real evidence
I don't trust her any more
i’m sorry but this kinda blows my mind. the mom admitted that even if she passed the test, she’d still blame her. why would you push her to take it then? how would it help you move on if you’re still going to blame her either way?
she said that even if it was proven that the girl didn't push him the mother would still hold her PARTIALLY responsible because the girl caused a fight with her son that may have contributed to his death 1:46 to 2:27
I don’t agree with the mom either. She’s pointing fingers without real evidence. I wish they had an update
Yeah what a nasty lady
Karla is right "I loved him" (past tense) and the mother says "if you love my family like you say you do" present tense.
Well yh, people speak in past tense for dead people ffs
Because he is no longer in the present bud
She really doesn’t owe the family anything. As sad as the situation is she really doesn’t
SHE CAN GET HER HAIR AND NAILS DONE....BUT GOING TO WORK...NAAAAAW
Now you know she put that wig on her self 🤣
its tv they have a make-up team
“You think you know everything don’t you? You’re like a black woman in hindsight!”
-for anyone who gets the reference
His mother just wants some place to put the blame. She already has put it on the young woman, but if she fails the polygraph she'll have every reason to blame her and no push back.
The mom saying that she wouldn’t like her and they would never be cool no matter what so why take the test if the mom still isn’t gonna like her and still gonna blame her?
She really doesn’t owe the family anything if she wasn’t proven guilty. As sad as it is she really doesn’t
She outright said the polygraph would do nothing. She would still indirectly putting the blame on her.
The mum wants someone to blame. She’s taking out her grief on the girl. The mum needs to grow up.
I agree

The clapping after the mother is literally trying to manipulate the girl with guilt just makes the mother feel more empowered and right. Yeah your son loves you and what not.
