    Thank you for this very helpful video! My husband and I are doing our own DIY kitchen garden in our backyard which has in-ground sprinklers and I am so excited we can tap into one.

    excellent lesson on how to setup a custom irrigation system. I am doing this for my backyard trees after the pipe had leak and need to repair.

    Nice! Very helpful! Pro tip: heat up the ends of the 1/2" larger line to make it easier to slip onto the connectors. Heat gun, or even easier, get a bucket/pot of boiling water and stick the end in for a minute (but be careful not to burn yourself)!

    Thank you, exactly what I’m looking for. 1/2 tubing from a single sprinkler head to three raised beds using 1/4 tubing.

    I am trying to connect a drip irrigation to the existing sprinkler system. Your video os very helpful.
    What type of riser did you use? Any particular brand, I just want to make sure that I install something that is durable.
    Thank you

    I hear those emitter lines can get clogged easily. Any issues? I’m hoping to find a 1/2” converter that has a filter, but can’t find one.

    If I cannot convert existing sprinkler heads within the same zone to drip tubing, then how do I get the water to the other areas within the same zone?

    What brand is the 1/2inch tubing? Is it hard or soft tubing? Do you have a link to the item for purchase?

    Hint: If you heat up the drip line with a lighter, you can insert it much easier. it makes the twice as fast.

    What is the benefit of using half-inch tubing versus quarter inch tubing? What is the benefit of using half-inch tubing with built-in emitters versus half-inch tubing without? Can you convert multiple sprinkler heads within the same zone?

    How about pressure from regular sprinklers is different for drip line how did you have a blow out

    • @samadabdul1242
      @samadabdul1242 5 років тому

      That is correct. You have to use a pressure regulator. There is a product for this and its cheap. www.dripdepot.com/item/hendrickson-bros-pressure-regulating-drip-manifold-with-flow-control?gdffi=cf83ccffd3ab412e9fd6fb117dbb26c9&gdfms=B0131DBFBF47480AAD20135D509C343A&gclid=CjwKCAjw8ZHsBRA6EiwA7hw_sQVJU3pyuGjcKRsBdYuE3p-Py5zrJ0ZmBPIWRuydkR2o02UUCg2ugxoC6-cQAvD_BwE

    Is there a way it can get underground easily

    • @nimageofmine
      @nimageofmine 3 роки тому

      a separate emitter tubing is available for underground installation (only 1/2 inch versions). The 1/4th inch versions usually don't have that option.

    The guy at Home Depot told me that I didn't need to use plumbers tape. Is that true?

    • @DaisyCreekFarms
      @DaisyCreekFarms  Рік тому

      if the fitting has a rubber gasket or rubber washer inside, then you don't need the tape, otherwise you do

    I had something like this in my garden years ago...until the squirrels chewed holes in it.

    • @nimageofmine
      @nimageofmine 3 роки тому

      that's a bummer. You could consider hiding the drip emitter tubing via mulch.
