Thank you for this very helpful video! My husband and I are doing our own DIY kitchen garden in our backyard which has in-ground sprinklers and I am so excited we can tap into one.
Nice! Very helpful! Pro tip: heat up the ends of the 1/2" larger line to make it easier to slip onto the connectors. Heat gun, or even easier, get a bucket/pot of boiling water and stick the end in for a minute (but be careful not to burn yourself)!
Hey Jag Singh ... This is very helpful. Can you share the amazon links for the dripping lines, connectors and all others that you used for your dripping system. Thanks!
I am trying to connect a drip irrigation to the existing sprinkler system. Your video os very helpful. What type of riser did you use? Any particular brand, I just want to make sure that I install something that is durable. Thank you
If I install quarter inch tubing to my existing sprinkler head, how many feet of quarter inch tubing am I allowed to run two receive enough water emitting out of the tube?
great video...but it requires to have an already water sprinkler in place as on minute: 1:39 I was hoping he was going to show all from Scratch, nevertheless great video
What is the benefit of using half-inch tubing versus quarter inch tubing? What is the benefit of using half-inch tubing with built-in emitters versus half-inch tubing without? Can you convert multiple sprinkler heads within the same zone?
That is correct. You have to use a pressure regulator. There is a product for this and its cheap. www.dripdepot.com/item/hendrickson-bros-pressure-regulating-drip-manifold-with-flow-control?gdffi=cf83ccffd3ab412e9fd6fb117dbb26c9&gdfms=B0131DBFBF47480AAD20135D509C343A&gclid=CjwKCAjw8ZHsBRA6EiwA7hw_sQVJU3pyuGjcKRsBdYuE3p-Py5zrJ0ZmBPIWRuydkR2o02UUCg2ugxoC6-cQAvD_BwE

Excellent breakdown on how to tap in to an existing sprinkler -- thank you sir!
I will be referring back to this video next spring when I set up my drip irrigation! Thanks, Jag!

Thank you this is a super video!
I hear those emitter lines can get clogged easily. Any issues? I’m hoping to find a 1/2” converter that has a filter, but can’t find one.
I like your attitude :)
If I cannot convert existing sprinkler heads within the same zone to drip tubing, then how do I get the water to the other areas within the same zone?
How do you keep squirrels off of your raised beds, or at least limit them?
I'm forced to do this pretty soon since drought is part of living here in Texas and getting worse.

What is the name of the part at 1:15?
Good
Is there a way it can get underground easily
a separate emitter tubing is available for underground installation (only 1/2 inch versions). The 1/4th inch versions usually don't have that option.
👍🏾
The guy at Home Depot told me that I didn't need to use plumbers tape. Is that true?
if the fitting has a rubber gasket or rubber washer inside, then you don't need the tape, otherwise you do
I had something like this in my garden years ago...until the squirrels chewed holes in it.
that's a bummer. You could consider hiding the drip emitter tubing via mulch.
