I am So glad to see this! I did the same thing about 45 years ago: My husband laughed, my brothers laughed, my neighbors laughed. I laughed last and best as I harvested lettuce, carrots and corn from my terribly tight clay soil. Thanks Jag!
You just saved me so many headaches working with the other watering systems...replace my black stuff and made a new one in just a couple of hours..No need to fix and repair and easy to add on to with the no glue connections..Thank you so so very much!!
Thank you Jag. I have four 25 foot rows to run off of the irrigation system. After looking into sprinkler hoses, soaker hoses and regular sprinkler heads I thought I'd look for someone who tried your method and there you were. I wish I had seen your video when looking through all the other videos week. Thanks again.
I have some PVC left from renovations that I did to my house. I recently tilled all my garden beds and planted some stuff. I find it relaxing to take out the water house grab a chair and sit down while watering my garden. But this is tedious at times, and I have other things to do. That's when THIS idea came to mind. And just like you, I was sceptical. So I came to UA-cam to see if it could be done, and whether it would work. Thanks for the great video. Now I can definitely go ahead with this project, knowing that it will work 👍
I’m so thrilled you posted this video! I’ve been thinking about designing some sort of PVC irrigation system to help simplify my life-but wasn’t sure how best to proceed. I did a general topic search and voila, YOUR vid came up. I’m already a subscriber and I’ve been watching your videos -so I was thrilled when your vid was the first result. Your plan is so perfect …it’s a no-brainer, and major time-saver…I can head straight to the hardware store and get started, instead of watching….who knows how many more videos. So a HUGE thank you ❤️ You’re a Super 🌟
The water pressure and distribution seem to work great with your system. I am fabricating a similar project using an Arduino timed/solar/ dc water pump in a small greenhouse. Thankyou for sharing your build. The ideas all come in handy :)
This is a great idea. I have an issue with ground squirrels eating through the black plastic drip lines and also I have hard water which clogs the drips. So not great. I was thinking maybe having pvc like this may work better, but I see just drilling holes is also a super affordable way of doing it.
Great idea 👍🏿. Yet remember this is temporary and the PVC will have no other use besides a yard post. See Jag's other videos on funny pipe. If you decide to go with this route consider long runs with PVC along the boarder and funny/drip lines in the till zones. This way there are more options for horiz and vert flow control...ie succulents watered at root level and the running type that require more space than water coverage such as tomatoes, melons, vines... Better to keep the PVC raised and anchored versus buried for maintenance of soil. More reusable parts this way and expansion is possible. While keeping backflow issues in check.
Thank you very much my brother, you make my day. I will consider your idea as a dream come true. I have been thinking about this you for a long time. but I don't know if is going to work. now you have sett me free. Thanks.
Great method! #ILoveThisIdea I will try this for my #raisedbeds in cold frames and greenhouse so I can visit family for the #newyear. #Thankyouforsharing this took a lot off my mind. No need for babysitting my crops! 😂 #Keepupthegreatwork
Jag,this is one of the easiest DIY video for drip irrigation.it might be a basic question, can you add more details of the other parts you used like what type of valve and what type of connector to the sprinkler that you used.it will be helpful in buying the parts to go with this setup.
I have same setup, except few changes. I have provided inlet to sprinkler on both end, used screw cock. Drilled 1mm hole every after 45cm inline. My raised grow bed dimension is 1188.72cm(39")* 106.68cm(42")* 55.87cm(56.88"). This way I can use it as drip system.
I agree, I just spend a fortune on an irrigation system and this is the most cost effective way. Thanks so much for the enlightenment. I Really appreciate it.
Perfect idea. Will it be okay during the winter? I live in Michigan. Will it be damaged in the cold day? Otherwise I could take them apart and put them away before the winter. Thanks.
I'd be interested to know if your system would be effective in irrigating 6 pieces of 20 foot 1/2 inch. I guess I better do some experimenting and be ready to roll with the punches. Good video, glad yours works so well, peace..
I was thinking of doing something like this for watering the narrow strip of turf beside my house. It looks like it will work. No one really makes a sprinkler that works very well for narrow strips.
I did this after watching your video...it's been well over a year and it's still working perfectly. Thank you so much!

Thank you man, I actually followed this video and now the backyard is getting watered perfectly.
Which valve did you use ?

2:35 make me smile. Good job. I watch your channel from Nicaragua.

I love this system brother. My garden has multiple volunteer plants growing 😊
Great idea. I was about to buy sprinkler heads for a small garden area. This system controls the water flow better for my application. Thanks

When u say root level then will have to put the holes exactly on the sides🤔?
Very good idea, very simple n easy
So much easier nice job
Thanks alot you are a life saver
This is great! Thank you.
Exelent. Idea. Thank. You. Sooooo. Much
This is brilliant. Something that I was looking for years for my vegiepatch (vegy garden). Just put some more attention on the VALVE (i missed that).
just buy a soaker hose. LOL
Surely helpful technique and cost effective
I also had wanted to make this type of watering system. Your video was helped me to do it very simply. than you
Welcome to odisha very nice
Good job! I was planning on setting up a system like this for the plants and trees but I wasn't sure how. Now I know, thanks.

just buy a soaker hose...geez
Wow exactly what i needed to see only problem im having is connecting this to the downspout.
Nice video, clear and concise
always enjoy and learn from your videos Jag
Very nice

Looks great.I have a question, what if you just plug this into your outside garden hose spicket? Would you have enough pressure?
Verry nice
Than you for your great ideas!! It helped me a lot!!!
Nice...we will try it
Fantastic
This is really great system. I will do it. thank you. I will for guava garden

I've learned so much from watching your videos. Thank you very much and looking forward to many more.
What did you actually learn???
absolutely amazing thank you so much!!!

thanks so much I will try on my farm i think very good advice I well timar God bless you all
Yep works for me. No drip, no hoses.
You sir are a genius.
Super technology

.This is a fun activity!
Thank you for the new idea
Good!
Can the pvc design just be connect to water hose but have a water regulator between the water hose and pvc pipe to adjust pressure. Thanks for video
Hey Jag,how foa apart did you drill the holes?
Can you provide more info on the connectors Jag?
Me gusta todo lo relacionado con el campo
nice one...thanks for sharing ...good ideas...
Thanks Jag! Think this would work buried under a few inches of wood chips???
Great vid Jag! Simple but effective especially for small scale.
Perfect idea. Will it be okay during the winter? I live in Michigan. Will it be damaged in the cold day? Otherwise I could take them apart and put them away before the winter. Thanks.
This is awesome!
wonderful good demo

....wondering if this can be done just attaching a pipe to the initial spickett or water hose for us renters........
Good.
Great idea for future
Love it!
Pretty interesting
Spend your entire day drilling holes in $18 worth of PVC or buy a 50' soaker hose for $18 and be done with it in a minute.
Thanks for making this video i had an idea to make this type irrigation system this year but was alittle unsure of how it would work
call me rain pip 6360639406
Will it still work if i set it up vertically?
Xlent idea bayya tq
Do you think this would work if you buried them?
Que distancia una linia de otra me gusta la idea
Nice video...just to clarify..simple rules of physics..pressure is equal in all directions!
Awsome, i was wondering if this would work.
GOOD
Looking good. To get even pressure add a pipe on the other side connecting all 3 instead of capping off.
I have been using this method for a long time. There is no better watering without a pump
I like it, God bless you
I just wanna make a sprinkler now! Ace
What are your measurements between each inground sprinkler
It's super. I think gap between the holes depends on water pressure
call me rain pip6360639406
Very good
superbro
Just the idea I was looking for . Thanks for the great idea
Can I build it little bit bigger than this for Agriculture purposes like growing vegetables?
Can this become an automatic system or will it work different?
You are a wanderful man
I was thinking of doing something like this for watering the narrow strip of turf beside my house. It looks like it will work. No one really makes a sprinkler that works very well for narrow strips.
Good video. But why didnt you make the runners equal lengths?????????
How do you manage with the reduced water pressure on your raised beds? We’re on city water and standard pressure.
Same here. We don't have enough pressure to go all the way around our garage. It has no water at the ends.
Can I use 1/8" bits
I did something similar like this to water my front side walk so it could stay green
What's this irrigation system called ?
Wow, nice technique.
