I love how my "Consume!" for the Bacoon was just something I did on the fly, and it ultimately got used!

Not me. Slippy is literally a frog person of Aquas so I wasn't surprised.

The pre-mission briefing is super fun, I love it
the only thing I would change is font color and maybe the size if the engine allows for it. Grey on Dark Blue is very hard to read. I'd personally change it to a bright white.
The pre-mission briefing has a very AC feel to it to be honest.

Honestly this Bacoon explanation is as curious as the canon one in which it's stated Bacoon was an entity which was envious of the Aquans and destroyed their civilization then many years later Andross's pollution mutated it.
The fact that in this version there's more than one and Andross might want to amass an army of them is thrilling and frightening to think about
And not just Andross. Wait until Part 4 when the Anglers make their return, Im sure.
Peppy's VA is no Rick May, but he's also no slouch in trying to fill Rick's shoes, either.
The Aquans have a Canadian accent, thats goddamn funny lol

What a day for _Star Fox_ fans. First we get a new update on Event Horizons and then the official release for part one of Esphirian's RemAdventures cinematic project (which I can't recommend enough).
We may not have gotten anything from Nintendo in a while, but the fan community is doing their damndest to keep this setting and its characters alive.
I'm glad to see this level get such a fun redesign from the original! Although as some have pointed out, I'm a bit sad we didn't see the Bacoon mutation of the Auqarossa like in an earlier build. But at the same time, I do understand wanting to keep closer to the source material. Maybe we'll see a similar concept reused for the Aparoid Crisis?
As for Pala and the Navy Soldier's VAs, I think they're fine. Given the limitations you had to work with these two did the best they could.
what limitations exactly? You mean not really having a budget for the acting and trying not to get sued by Nintendo?
My favorite part of this level is Slippy would reveal something about his homeworld and then Falco would just be in utter disbelief and annoyance. Five mins later, things just keep getting worse and Falco just is like “at this point, I’m not even surprised anymore.”
Man. I never expected Aquas would look this good. This just keeps getting better. Well done!
I really like the look of the city. It reminds me of Gungan City in Star Wars.
Also, the classic-sounding music is top-notch!
Aquas is one of the more annoying levels in 64. It's nice to see that it looks more fun in EH. Keep up the great work!

Voice acting was fantastic! This project is really coming along!
Love the music in the begining portion of the mission, much more soothing but also eerie which makes sense to foreshadow the Bacoon.
As for the Bacoon, it's unfortunate it's not merged with the Aquarosa, I kinda prefer that option since it makes the beast smarter than it looks by taking full control of venom's tech
I do miss that feature from the Bacoon, but hopefully a similar concept gets reused for the Aparoid Crisis. Imagine that undersea Eldritch Horror being unleashed.
I mean, it did take full control of venom tech. It was in control of the Aquarosa before it was destroyed.
A good fight here, but I must admit that his previous appearance was more threatening. A giant hermit crab capable of hijacking an entire sea fortress is more dangerous than a... giant hermit crab. The size of the aquarosa, the fact that it "infect" the entire thing (propulsion, direction, gun) + kill the crew... It's way more serious and less silly than this one who just push the eject button.
I just checked the Arwingpedia and I got it, this one is way closer in term of fidelity with the main material.
... Why do I hope to see an Aparoid's attack on Aquas with another Bacoon now infected with aparoidedation...
Oh my gosh, an infected Bacoon would be AWESOME!!! and terrifying...
So worth it to wait for another mission. Love dialogues, a new voice actors and Bacoon saying 'CONSUME!' gave me so much chills. Can't wait to see other missions 😉
And I love Slippy's reactions for everything that happened during this mission. With that he's truly show how he's cared for saving his people from every danger 👍

God hearing these voices put a massive smile on my face! It makes the levels more alive and entertaining! Lot less dead and boring.

Love everything so far. Kinda disappointed that you changed the bacoon to better resemble the original though. I loved how you originally had the thing fused to the Aquarosa. Even so, this is great.

The two things I had against Aquas in SF64 was how slow the Blue Marine was and how much of a bullet hell it was. It's a great move to be in a full range of movement, therefore a sense is scale can be more manageable for the sake of maps and enemy numbers and density.
I know he says Floatin Fortress, but god damn it if my brain don't hear Fuckin Fortress.

The Boss track was from a live orchestra performance in Japan but the rest was an original composition for the game.

Star Fox 64 has a Star Trek joke in it that I doubt most people even caught because it's from the film no one watched.

Epic. An is pretty much more than I was hoping to see in Starfox zero.
Was disappointed that 3 of my most favorite place were not in it.
Aquas was one of them.

I think I know what the next level with voices will be. There are four different possibilities. From Katina's end, either Macbeth or Sector X, or from Aquas' end, Fortuna or Zoness. The last two featured the appearance of Katt Monroe, Falco's ex. I'm curious to know who's gonna voice her. Maybe the original voice actress, Lyssa Browne, or someone new.
Really amazing effort and the voice acting is mostly great. Fara is... eh. But I love everyone else. Didn't think Aquas could be made fun but here we are. lol Some more effects to show the fact you're underwater like small debris, micro algae or whatever would go along way to help the water seem less clear.
I say again what I said back then. Give the clam more to say or just make him roar. Other than that, I want to know. In your thoughts, how was like piloting the Blue Marine???? Was steering a submarine harder than an arwing???? Also; you should find a way to get the Blue Marine on Sauria for an underwater mission. Just saying.

That's probably perspective of distance. You were right up in it's "face" in the original game and 3d.
@@marrqi7wini54 True, plus in the last Aquas video the Bacoon was controlling an Aquarosa station, which made it appear bigger than the Bacoon really was.

I imagine Fox at the conn, Peppy on sonar, Falco and Fara on torpedo's/blasters, and Slippy doing other odd jobs/tasks like repairs and the like.
What are the requirements in this mission to go to Fortuna tho?
You have to prevent all the Venom subs from docking.

@@UndyingNephalimI have repeated the mission countless times and destroyed the subs incredibly early but the single sub dialogue from Pepper always appears and obligatorily sends me to Zoness, I believe there's an error or something and I wanted to report it

This shows that Nintendo could do so much with this franchise but chooses not to and sticks to the same stuff over and over again.
Hopefully Nintendo hires you guys to make this official but then again we all know what they'll do.

admiral pala and the under water pilot is the worst voice acting i have ever heard also 'thanks fox for taking the mission' He was ordered too!? who scripts this!? Not to mention the sub is just a replacement for the arwing with literally no difference in game still what a cope out and people gush over this!? Still no performance boost for literally the boosters pointless having them they literally do nothing and give no sense of speed
They are mercenaries, they could reject Pepper's orders if they want unlike an official military recruit. There are some pretty massive differences with how the Blue Marine handles and the weapons it is capable of being loaded with. As for voice actors, sorry I don't have the money or resources to hire an army of professionals. I'm lucky to have gotten the few pros that I have.
