- The Siege of Venom level in Star Fox Event Horizon, the final mission of the Lylat Wars. Yes, that is indeed Mathew Gafford laughing and screaming as Andross.

As if his bare exposed brain wasn't nightmare inducing as it was. You managed to make Andross even more terrifying.
Thats a resident evil 2 inspired boss right there
I think the mutation phase is this games equivalent to him transforming into the devil on the SNES.
He's Ego the Living Planet and Cthulhu rolled into one
We've come a long way from polygon face
@@monitorlizardkid8253 I always thought that was a bull of some sort
I love how you changed Fox’s reaction to Andross’s forms. Instead of indifference or cockiness, he instead reacts with shock and horror.
There's also how James sounds more like he is responding to Fox, who is losing hope, rather than just encouraging a Silent Fox who doesn't say anything beyond a question to his Dad.
Yes!! I've always wonders why the games never addressed or acknowledged the fact that Andross was, presumably, once a regular sized monkey like Andrew... but when you face him, he's a giant floating head and hands.
@MchlRbrt To be fair, by this point, Fox has seen at least *one* gigantic, horrific bioweapon.
Aquas, Solar, and Titania all had one. Most interestingly, Titania's isn't of Andross' make.
It imples that such horrors have long been possible...
Honestly it's more realistic it's not like he's done this before 😏
I love the Andross propaganda scattered around, very nice touch.
“10 out of 10 scientists agree that Andross is the future. _Trust us, we have labcoats.”_
I love how you make the Lylat Wars seem more "alive" in a sense.
You are creating an expanded universe for Star Fox that actually fits with the franchise.
The city looks great, and so does the green gas. Makes me wonder how those guys can live there.
If this is anything like the online animated show A Fox in Space, Andross had to modify his loyalists with his technology so they could survive in Venom’s toxic atmosphere, pretty much turning them into a race of cyborgs.
If only Nintendo had the common sense to make a Star Fox game like this or at least HAVE it made.
@@Arthus850 A Fox in Space is a fan project not affiliated with Nintendo in any way, shape, or form
@@kadeshaderow I never said it was. I was just saying that was a possible explanation.
It’s like living on Helgan. Lots of life support and people dying.
First form: Ahh, classic...
Second form: Oh! A call back, nice.
Third form: ahh, yes... his true form...
Andross: *THIS ISNT EVEN MY FINAL FORM!*
Wait... what?
Forth Form: What in the ever loving fuck!?
Pretty sure that reaction to the fourth form was what we were ALL thinking.
@@LonePhantom756 My exact words were 'what the actual fuck', but same theme :D
Super Andross Is Isane Ugly Monster Gross
@@LonePhantom756 Same but without the E and L and F words
Lovecraftian Andross wasn't something I saw coming, but that is a really cool transformation. So gross, yet fitting of Andross.
After completing this mission and beat the game in Venom.
Peppy: “Fox! You’re OK!”
Slippy: “Way to go, Fox!”
Falco: “That’s our leader!”
Bill: "Yee Hah! Now that's the Fox I know!"
Pepper: "Thank the stars you are okay Fox. Your father" would've been proud.
*Fox began staring at a distance as if he was looking for someone."
Peppy: "What's wrong Fox?"
Fox: "Nothing. Nothing's wrong."
Pepper: "Oh... You survived..."
That mutation was really freaking cool, and it really helps to put an extra insite to how much Andross has lost it, compared to just a disembodied head. Keep up the amazing work, man!
Like I said to those other people, that last phase is the modern graphic equivalent to him transforming into the devil on the SNES, I'm still going to miss the idea of the final phase being fought in a chamber full of statues of himself and him saying "I will fill Lylat with my face and my glory!" though.
Edit: I'm an idiot! there are statues of himself in that chamber, but the green fog makes them very hard to see.
@@monitorlizardkid8253 Yeah it's a shame Andross Nucleus wasn't saved, but this new fight is very similar, because those statues of himself are actually his clones just like in the new fight
It actually reminds me of the final boss of Warhawk (the original one on the PS1)
@@monitorlizardkid8253 They're not just statues, they're basically mini-clones of himself. I do kinda miss the semi-mechanized bioship look the Andross Nucleus had. But hey, if Event Horizon's gonna pull an Adventures with Andross and bring him back (one guy noticed that his eldritch form looked like a krazoa spirit), I hope he's brought back in the natural human-sized form he had before mutating himself to cure his cigar-related lung cancer or whatever it was that led him to becoming a brain creature.
Dang, I was NOT expecting that last phase. Something about it screams 'Aparoid' to me. And I wonder how the other games'll fit in with the retelling here, too. Looking forward to the next arc!
Not to mention how he proudly stated there were 'thousands' of him. It'd certainly be interesting if it turns out he was infected. Also, kinda on a different note but the AI systems in EH's Sector X that Slippy described as being like a networked computer are like a hive mind. Maybe Andross was experimenting with Aparoid DNA at some point? Maybe Spyborg was meant to be a prototype artificial Aparoid Queen under Andross' control, but it rebelled and started making mock Aparoids in the form of sentient AI drones using adandoned Venom ships as a foundation.
But back to Andross himself, if he turns out to be part Aparoid by the time the player faces him, it'd be an interesting way to connect Assault to the rest of the series, especially if Andrew remains the first casualty of the Aparoid Invasion. I know Command said Andrew didn't actually die, but Command said Pigma didn't actually die too, so...
Same, i know some people are saying that the final phase is somewhat based, or inspired, or a sort of remake of it's Bull/Devil form from the SNES, but jeez, this definitely reminds me of Aparoid Pigma or even the Aparoid Queen... It's completely nightmare inducing!!
@@bladewolfdarknight1605 I dunno, I see at least a little krazoa in that mutant form. Floating head, tendrils trailing behind the face, seems like Andross isn't just studying physical science.
I actually love the inclusion of hints and points to a greater *galactic* community that you dropped in here. That was something that always bugged me about the original. It was never explicitly said if there were more systems within the galaxy it was set in, or if Lylat was pretty much "it" and they didn't develop true FTL travel. Honestly I like this way better as it alludes to there being a whole lot more that COULD be added.
There is also atleast other system mentioned by Peppy in one of the random conversations thst happen at the start of the Fichina level, saying Fara was the best pilot from here (lylat) to the Banor system
Dr. Andross will see you now...
It's incredible to see how far this has come since the mod's original Andross video years back. All the references to the past games etc just makes anticipating this all the more exciting! Matthew Gafford's Andross has been among my favorite portrayals of the character Ive seen, he's literally THE perfect voice for the sinister scientist! Also love Venom's city with its highways and the references scattered about, major Venom Highway vibes from the Snes game! Best wishes to you and all those involved in this fantastic love letter to Star Fox.
Butterflix Commander:Is That You Andross, I'll Get You!!!
I love that one sign about "Competence. Intelligence. Results." Really makes you realize that if a mad scientist became a ruling tyrant, it would be different than your standard fare. Interesting direction!
1:49 that billboard is gold
"10 out of 10 scientists agree
Andross is the future
Trust us, we have lab coats"
Well, I can't disagree if they've got lab coats, that would be pseudoscientific heresy
"Trust the science". LOL
Ok that billboard is crazy
When a couple weeks passed without any updates, I held the faith. I assumed you were re-making the Venom mission to do it proper justice, including a retake on the Andross boss fight. And that faith was rewarded.
Andross might have established himself as beyond sympathy, but General Pepper's willingness to open fire with the big guns despite lingering civilian presence makes me wonder if maybe Venom's Supreme General Emperor was onto something when he said that Pepper wasn't exactly a paragon of justice. And taking what Andross said as Fox rocketed towards his lair into account, I get the feeling this is gonna come back and bite us in later missions.
The billboards and propoganda got a grin out of me. Props for turning one of Andross' more memorable lines into a catchphrase for his P.R. department!
And, let's get to it, shall we? Andross himself.
The buildup to the confrontation was amazing. The light playing across Andross' face made it clear that SOMETHING had changed since he'd contacted Fox last. But even knowing what to expect from Star Fox 64, you did a perfect job of encapsulating Fox's horrified shock at seeing what Andross had become. For a moment, the smooth retro head beneath Andross' skull left me wondering if it was all a facade, and that the original Andross was operating this new mech from a pilot's seat...and then it, too, was blown away, and you established to us just how far Andross was willing to go to preserve his own existence. Including the surprise fourth stage of the fight -- I literally gaped for a moment or two, wondering just what the HELL was going on. Had Andross' regenerative abilities kicked into overdrive after his brain suffered critical damage?! All to the exchanged verbal blows between Fox and Andross, giving their battle more weight and meaning.
And, even as James appeared to give his son some classic aid in escaping the exploding lair, I was left to wonder...are there more versions of Andross being kept in the lab, or in fallback facilities? Could some clone of him be re-activated later down the line, to continue his mad ambition to be remembered forever (or to continue living up to his part of his bargain with Drakor, whatever it may be)?
And just what the heck happened to turn Andross from a sharp-dressed, cigar-smoking generalissimo into...THAT? Was it his own mad genius in bio-weaponry? Or was his enigmatic ally on the red screen involved, somehow...?
Yeah sometimes these levels take a long time to make. In the past they usually would take several months. My weekly uploads for the last several months are actually unusual.
@@UndyingNephalim Considering that you've given us the highlight reel for the "Original" campaign, plus a glimpse into the Sauria campaign? Believe me, it's well worth waiting for further content!
I wouldn't say no to lore posts that tell us more about stuff like what life on the various planets is like, intel on the boss pilots, and stuff like that! If it's quicker to write, it'll tide fans over while you work on stuff like cutscenes and campaign missions!
I wonder how "Farewell Beloved Falco" will play out, speaking of Andross Clones.
I was actually somewhat shocked at Pepper's willingness to consider civilian casualties as acceptable. I understand in war that sometimes it is inevitable, especially when engaging in an urban environment. And while it is true that the city appears to be built around the lab it still doesn't excuse indiscriminate bombardment of the city. I fully understand that perhaps Pepper was caught up in the moment, the second Lylat war had probably gone on for a few months at this point with horrendous amounts of casualties on both sides, and Pepper deciding the best course of action is just a straight hammer blow and allowing himself and any of his men to vent their loss and frustration through destruction of the enemy. Pepper may well not be a saint and I'm not making excuses for him but he perhaps does have his reasons and it's possible some of his troops would "accidentally" fire on the city anyway for reasons mentioned above
@@UndyingNephalimIm assuming you haven't done the voice acting yet. Where can I download this btw? I want it before Nintendon't finds out about it.😡
1:19 general pepper what the actual fuck bro even if that's the case that civilians have nothing to do with this
Question: how the heck the fan-made game from years ago and even up to now do a better Andross boss fight then most of the Nintendo version of Andross?!
The only other Andross fight that was just as equally impressive if good (Decent at best) was the one from Star Fox Adventures in my opinion.
10:04
Falco : JEEZ LAWEEZ, WHAT IS THAT?!?!?!?!? 😱😱😱😱😱
Geez, there's dead Venomian soldiers in eva suits drifting like debris among the explosions as the lair collapses around you. Nice attention to detail, but dark.
"Trust us, we have lab coats."
Where did they put that in propaganda?
@@sugdolomar 1:49
Andross went on to become a Resident Evil villain.
_How quaint._
Would have loved to see more about the invasion, “bombardment” of Venom.
+Caimen goes from generic bad guy to being “get the innocent civilians to the shelters!”
+You can tell Fox is feeding off of his rage from losing Fara. As soon as Pepper ignored killing Venomian civilians, Fox would have pulled back. Instead, he carries on following orders. He had the opportunity to do strafing runs on the highways, but the player didn’t. Wouldn’t be shocked if he did given the opportunity again.
+ At 1:01, I love the air raid siren. The Venomian fleet has pulled back, but is all but gone. Most they can do is literally shield the streets so civilians can get to shelters.
+Andross wont be the final boss. Shears is still out there!!
Andross is the final boss, just for the Lylat Wars (maybe Sauria too but hopefully not, give that spotlight to Drakor) and Shears ain't gonna be the final boss given that he's playing a major role in the Sauria arc serving Scales and Drakor
Andross I'd have be the 'Arc 1' Final Boss. of 5 Arc Bosses.
We know that every villain in the SF series will get there time in the spotlight, as there are animated portraits of the Anglar and the Aparoid's.
I remember seeing the previous proof-of-concept video for Venom many years back, and I must say, this version is such an amazing overhaul. Changing what was originally a barren mesa from the original games into a wide-reaching cityscape fitted with propaganda posters only an egomaniacal planetary dictator like Andross would love was a bold choice for the level, and I love it.
I also loved how this level was extended from the original. Though if I have some complaints, it’s that the first stage is over way too soon. I would’ve loved if Pepper’s fleet was occasionally accosted by more enemy fleets responding to the invasion while they continued to drill into the shaft leading to Andross’ Lab, concluded with the Star Wolf team intercepting the Star Fox team in Wolfen IIs much like in Star Fox 64.
The second stage where Fox goes after Andross was perfect though. However, I think it would’ve been great if the green haze from the surface didn’t follow down to Andross’ Lab. I don’t know if it’s possible or easy to program, but could the green haze be replaced with orange/red industrial lighting to make things easier to see?
Thanks for taking the time to read my post. 👍
YOOOOOO THIS IS CRAZY but so good lol. Andross' final form took me completely off guard, scary as hell but very original and I liked it!! I also love Fox's line about Andross' ego being bigger than his head, heh. Even when faced with an unholy abomination, Fox still has a smartass remark in him. Gotta say I'm really hyped for the finished version of the game. I'm also looking forward to what happens with Shears since he apparently survives the Lylat Wars.
He's probably gonna go and befriend Scales and arm the Sharpclaw for their war on sauria
The writing of this entire mission is you at your best so far. Simply immaculate work Nephy!
4:46 - Alright, that's a pretty good interpretation of _Star Fox 64's_ Normal Andross. I like it.
6:39 - Oh, cool! A callback to the first _Star Fox_ with Robot Head Andross in all his smooth-textured glory! Wonder if he has a giant brain under that metal shell?
8:03 - And called it! Brain Andross gave me nightmares the first time I faced him as a kid. This form will probably take a while to beat since we're only halfway through the video. Wonder if you've given him some new attacks or-
10:05 - JESUS CHRIST!!! WHAT THE HELL!!!
Real talk, though. I've been following this project for a few years now, but seeing the amazing work you've posted in the last couple months alone has been nothing short of stellar. You've taken the Star Fox series that Nintendo has seemingly written off as a kid-friendly space fighter game to be dusted off whenever they want to showcase a new hardware feature to a compelling space opera that has the best traits of _Firefly,_ _Star Wars: The Clone Wars,_ and _Battlestar Galactica._ And you've done it all without sacrificing the goofy charm of the characters or setting.
Between this and Esphirian's STARFOX REMADVENTURES its an exciting time to be a fan of the series. My only regrets are that both projects aren't getting nearly as much attention as they deserve and that Nintendo will probably never do something as ambitious as this with the main franchise.
Also, I'm not sure if Pepper's "Godspeed, Star Fox" at 3:21 was a reference to the OCRemix version of the SNES Corneria theme. If not, then I'll chalk it up to being a happy coincidence.
That's pretty much what -I- was thinking during the whole fight. "WHAT THE HELL?!" indeed.
Remember when Andross transformed into the devil on the hardest route of the original SNES game? I think that last phase is the equivalent with modern graphics... Granted I'm still going to miss the "I will fill Lylat with my face and my glory!"
Edit: I'm an idiot!! andross does have statues of himself in that room, It's just that they're hard to make out in the green fog.
@@monitorlizardkid8253 ...Huh. I could see that.

@@monitorlizardkid8253 They aren't statues, they're clones.
At the start, you had Falco say: "Andross in an insane fool." I think you mean 'is', not 'in'. But still, good to see more of this.:D
Oh shit! There's actually civilian presence in Venom. Imagine the politics that goes on all over the galactic news networks regarding the Conerian fleet's actions
Jeez, like Andross as a brain wasn't scary enough! Now he went full Beholder? What, did he mutate himself with a Bacoon or something? But wow, talk about making things even more terrifying.
That said, I really liked how the tone shifted. It starts with the hints of things worse like Pepper not giving a damn about collateral (and, tellingly, Fox being utterly silent until he's diving in...) before shifting to pure boss fight. TBH, I have a hunch that Andross is wrong unless everyone around Corneria was fishing for an excuse to go after them. After all, in context, Venom has been war criming their way across the conflict and Pepper's attack is essentially immediately after a giant perfidy stunt. Unless Andross has his propaganda ministry in overtime with lots of bots to feed a false narrative? Either way, a great way to show the greyer aspects of the conflict without bashing us over the head with it (especailly since, let's be honest, Pepper is absolutely right).
Is there going to be a cutscene between this and the last mission? I imagine that part of the reason Fara wasn't brought up here was that it's either already addressed or it's going to be dealt with after the battle. I was honestly expecting Andross to make a comment about it though, especially as part of the 'you lost everything'.
Out of curiosity, have you considered a special infinite boost for the James-leads-Fox-out section? Maybe Fox does a 'shunt all power to the engines' stunt because he knows he needs speed and it's not like he's going to shoot anything? Might help with the cinematic feel of Fox flying out as fast as possible.
Either way, amazing work!
He still launched an attack immediately without letting the civilians evacuate so Pepper will probably get some flak for that, but like you said he just blantenly committed a false surrender mere minute prior to the attack so even if you disregarded all the war crimes Venom committed that singular act destroyed any possibility of trusting them.
Because of this Pepper will likely not get to much bad rep because at that point he was well within his right to view any and all attempts at negotiation or partial surrender as deception and any advanced warning to be used against him. Combine that with the fact that Andross built his lab/main military base in the center of a major population center (which I'm fairly certain is breaking a few laws in of itself) and I think most Individuals will agree that there was not a good way to go about this.
So yeah Andross kinda shot himself in the foot with the false surrender bit (which I highly doubt went unrecorded, and I will eat one of my hats if it was) because even if he managed to broadcast the attack without context, it's not going to take much to prove Pepper was fully in the right to order said attack.
Yeah there is a scene between this level and the previous one, it's not been made yet.
Maybe he used the Bacoon's DNA on himself.
@@anthonyluetmer8499 He probably has been dabbling with krazoa magic or something and messed up pretty bad. I mean, Fox was shooting his BRAIN before he mutated even further, so the fact that he just went even crazier instead of turning into a vegetable is nothing short of a miracle... as much of a miracle an ungodly monkey-based Gradius boss can get.

Those fleshy sound effects combined with the sickly greenish mist at 10:05 made me think Andross was a flood form from Halo at first. Great work making a boss that terrified me as a kid creep me out again 20 years later
Well, andross's final phase was clearly the modern graphic equivalent to him transforming into the devil on the SNES. Also, those propaganda posters are both worrying(if the Venomians are THAT easily made to believe Andross's lies), and somewhat amusing. Lastly, I'm a little worried that general pepper is going to go off the deep end by the end of the game, with or without being infected by Aparoids.
I hope not on general pepper
@@mattiaboscherini4001 As do I.
"Trust us, we have lab coats."
I love how Andross corrects Fox by saying "thosands."
the fact you made an entire modern looking game from a videogame made in 98 based on a game released in 97 is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. You're genuinely an incredible individual. I've never felt inclined to offer donations to a fan project until i found this. star fox is one of my favorite series of all time and nintendo all but abandoned it at this point but here you are doing god's work. thank you friend.
Gotta say, this final battle mission gameplay is pretty epic. Although, it would be a lot more epic if (just like from Star Fox Zero) Andross ends up barely surviving and end up chasing after Fox during his escape and James decides to attack Andross to let Fox be able to escape, but Fox decided by choice (which this part is optional) to save James by scoring one last finishing hit on Andross and then revert back into escaping out of Andross's base before it fully exploded.
>Everyone's reaction to Andross' surprise final form - "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!?!?!?!?!?!"
>Me after seeing it - "Eh, I've seen freakier and uglier bosses in other games."
Joking aside this was a really good remake of the Venom mission even though on the hard route in 64 was a damn nightmare to do cause you not only had to deal with souped up Star Wolf fighters (and those bastards ALWAYS went for Fox) but the brain phase of the Andross fight was a pain in the ass especially when it started teleporting all over the place and you get caught in the tentacle like appendages. The first phase wasn't too difficult but that phase always had me pulling my hair out trying to beat it. And then theres the escape part, lose track of where James went and you end up dieing, that or if you lost your wing(s) you'll be pingponging all of the place and blowing up on a random wall. Also nice mix of the SNES (which I never fully played) and 64 Andross boss (which I have played and beaten on all routes).
It is a bit concerning that Pepper didn't give a damn about the civilians but after the false surrender the previous mission, he's well within his rights to do what is necessary to get at Andross whose base is in the middle of the damn city which is probably breaking a lot of military protocols anyway and I highly doubt the Cornarian people will see it the wrong way like Andross tries to convince Fox. I didn't really notice the billboards like others did aside from seeing Andross' picture on them, probably wouldn't be able to read what was said on them anyway unless I squinted real hard.
Andross is an Insane fool...
well I'm not sleeping tonight
You really doing something incredible here, adding so many little elements to this iconic scene and making it that much more emotional and cinematic. Everything works so well; music, dialogue and set pieces. I tip my hat to you and all involved in this.
Dude that gave me! goosebumps - Congrats well done! Seriously as a big Starfox fan - this is a big dream come true. Only wish Nintendo would put as much effort and love into as you have done with the new series. Keep it up!
So, will we have to wait until you finish the Dinosaur Planet chapters, Aparoid Invasion chapters, and Anglar Empire chapters before the game gets released, or will each campaign be released episodically?
I'll probably be releasing them episodically. I'll try and get the Lylat Wars out by Christmas, although it probably won't have the voice overs yet.
@@UndyingNephalim OK. Well, are you still in need of any voice actors? If so, I’m always happy to do so.
I have a feeling that Pepper's attack on the city is gonna piss off a certain Viper for the next decade. Now on to the Andross fight.....I guess him using the mutations on himself would make sense giving he was already dying and being buddies with Drakor explains this as well, but that last form.....what in the ever unholy abomination is that?! Falco wasn't kidding, he was an insane fool.
Ps: is Andross gonna be permanently dead after this one or is he gonna be revived in Sauria? Cuz I would prefer him staying dead and let Drakor take center stage
Maybe we fight both at the same time?
Commenting again after a year, but I really like how EH's General Pepper is not an absolute bastion of moral character as he's depicted as in the official games. The reveal that Corneria's current political situation was the result of a military coup led by him, Colonel Shears and Andross to overthrow an "old directorate" is a tantalizing bit of backstory that I would love to see elaborated on.
This also turns the Lylat Wars into a Black vs. Gray situation - Andross is absolutely the villain and a total monster, but Pepper is far from a saint - he justifies collateral damage and the killing of civilians as "justice for Corneria City", and uses the excuse of "Andross is using them as shields". Peppy's and Andross' comments about Pepper's choice to allow innocents to be killed making him look bad (as it should) is another nice dose of realism - Pepper is a morally gray character who is trying to seem like Corneria's faultless protector, but with the cameras rolling, the public will apparently be able to see him for what he is. And Andross seems to believe that Corneria's people are morally upright enough to scorn Pepper for it.
Well, Andross is down. Time for Colonel Shears to get his comeuppance.
Dont forget general scales and the aparoids

I love Venom city! I would love to see more of that. How the everyday people of venom lived before and under Andross’ takeover.
"There might be civilians there!"
"Andross put them there on purpose to protect the shield, I won't fall for his tricks!"
"This won't look good on the news..."
Seems Andross inspired somebody else...
Peppy?
I like this version of Pepper. He's just as willing to kill civilians as much as Andross. Makes me wonder if Pepper isn't just another Andross, and the fact he is willing to retaliate so harshly will make others nervous. Makes me wonder if Andross announced his attack so the civilians could escape whereas Pepper just attacked regardless of lives. In a way, even though Andross was destroyed he still wins in the long run. Pepper ois going to answer some tough questions and Starfox's rep is tarnished. Makes me wonder if the victory was even worth it. Remove one dictator but did Croneria and Starfox unleash more by stopping Andross? Also one thing I noticed were the marks on Andross brain which highlighted his degenerative condition. The last form surprised me, and makes me wonder how the hell Andross did that to himself, but with the wider galactic community witnessing what Corneria and Pepper did, I have a feeling this is only the start of something bigger and if this isn't Andross motive all along.
I don't like it. It was not necessary.
Pepper being evil that is. The Andross fight is cool
@@mattiaboscherini4001 It shows a hard decision a commander must make, civilian causalities to save the whole galaxy or let andross do as he pleases. It's a decision nobody could make lightly
I'm tempted to say that Pepper has some cards in his hands :
- There is no way in hell that there is no footage at all of the invasion of Corneria. He can show the massacre to whatever neighboring state ask for it. Hell, any diplomat can just land on Corneria and witness it.
- Andross wasn't a fool : he deliberately keep the civilian on Venom in the dark about the cornerian retaliation, meaning there was no pre-emptive evacuation as soon as the orbital defence collapsed. There is two possible reading of such thing : Either he can "claim" he care about the venomian civies but he made a mistake (and so bye bye of his image of genius general) or he didn't care at all and hope to slow the cornerian retaliation with civies on the way.
- I think the Aquan is a neighboor state to Corneria, not a part of it. A breach of neutrality treaty with an attempt to drop a mythological devastating beast on a city is a big no no in diplomacy. Corneria will have some support for that.
I find it good that Pepper is a commander, not the overly caring chief hero N° 8539.
About Star Fox reputation, if they are correctly backed up by everything stated above, they are fine.
@@simondemoulin5815 You also have to remember how furious Pepper was at Colonel Shears' betrayal in the level right before this one, especially since they were both involved in the coup d'état that led to Corneria's government as it is now.
10:09 WHAT THE (BEEP)!
Wow excellent new twist with Andross it looked batshit insane! Which is a good thing of course! I wonder if there is any more to this chapter, like will there be a scene where the Pepper rewards them or something?
Yeah there will be a cinematic after this.
Andross Resident Eviled himself holy crap!
And now it’s on to Adventures! Yay!

Fox : So Andross, you show your True Form.

Andross: *laughs in demonic monke*
Venom looks sick, and those street signs and billboards are *clean*! Andross had a good laugh and looks pretty spooky, both with his voice lines and how you tear away at his face until his robot is revealed. Then, there's that nightmare Andross at the end there...actual nightmare fuel...Also, it would have been cool if it was revealed Andross was keeping James prisoner down there in the depths all this time (a bit cliché of an idea, I know but still).
I think I'm gonna have nightmares for a few weeks honestly
A few design tips for the final Andross form but I think the snout area should have Andross’s nose visible and maybe depending on how many eyes you destroy in the brain phase his final form is different. Also maybe after destroying each tentacle thing on the side of his head you have to shoot the eye in his mouth.
So, I just beat this in the 0.7 demo a few minutes ago. Sometimes that lab entrance breaks open a little faster than others, but it looks like there really isn't anything to do but putz around while the fleet breaks in for you.
Phase 1 with the face and hands, I expected.
Phase 2 with the Robot SNES face, was a pleasant surprise.
Phase 3 with the Brain, I expected (though not being able to attack the eyes as far as I can tell confused me for a bit, nothing I had worked on them and the lock-on wouldn't target them)
Phase 4, _I WAS NOT EXPECTING._ ANDROSS, WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO
...I went into this one in the Arwing Phoenix. For Fara ;-;
The boost meter on that thing is NUTS. Had to be careful not to out-boost Dad on the way out!
The sound and music is so good! And a third form for Andross and the implication of a wider conflict outside the lylat system is SO STINKIN COOL
Each new video astounds me even more, with the incredible background detail, amazing musical scores, and gameplay elements I never would've imagined.
Hmm... I never thought of this before, but I'm kind of surprised that Fox *didn't* have that kind of reaction to seeing Andross as a giant floating head and hands, in the N64 game.
You came a long way Nephy. i hope you'll polish this game before you officially release the final version of event Horizon. i was stunned to see Venom city to be so detailed.. even down to the smallest details as well such as moving cars and what not. I wasn't sure but did a siren go off in that level? because i thought i heard one upon the initial strike on Venom city. Also i like the way you executed this where Andross takes on a third an final form... which btw... the noises and what not made me grossed out x.x i made a disgusted and displeased look on my face when i first seen it. that was not only horrifying to watch him morph but very disturbing too x.x
Am Very amazed how Alive Venom is and how Venom Forces Defenced there civilians
also Fight with Andross was Huge plot twist and keeped me on Edge on Chair ,Real it Amazing done
It's interesting how you've made Pepper more ruthless than before, coming off a bit like the infamous "Bomber" Harris.
Phase 1: Not that scary and kinda badass looking.
Phase 2: Looks pretty cool! Also not scary.
Phase 3: Ugh, his brain. Well, I've seen it before so it's not that bad
Phase 4: *literally crapping myself rn*
You must make it back to your friends fox 🦊 🚀
...And to think this all started as a _Freespace_ Mod!
I couldn't help but notice that while Fox was battling "The Big Brain of Andross", he missed an eyeball. Could that be where the "4th Form of Andross" came from???? And if this is but a small sample of "Final Boss Fights", I can't wait for the Aparoid Queen. That is, if we get that far.
Canonically, Andross's brain doesn't actually disappear, it's just damaged to the point it mutates even further into a Phantoon-looking body.
He's going to work on the Aparoid crisis after the Sauria portion is done, so we should eventually see a fight with the queen.
I wonder if Alesia Glidewell will voice the queen as well, or if the queen will be like her previous role as Chell from Portal and be mute.
I want this to be a game. I wanna buy it so bad
Good news its free.
@@UndyingNephalim wait, it is a game???
@UndyingNephalim Im assuming you haven't done the voice acting yet. Btw where can I download this?
Do you... make these games yourself? You've got a heck of a talent if so!
Seriously, in what you were thinking when you made Andross' final form?
Andross"only i have the brains to rule the Lylat system"!!!!
Man, I can only imagine how insane Andross's voice is gonna sound. Going from his normal self to a mechanical faceplate to his brain and then into body-horror...
Body horror is underselling it he turned into a beholder
It'd be cool if the hands had like a green gas flare out before a punch. An in universe tell for attacks
Seeing all those burning bodies really was horrifying…
Since when is endangering civilians an "acceptable risk", Pepper?!
Sometimes good men pushed too far committ terrible acts in the pursuit of what they call "justice"
@@OnyxNuva Andross may have been onto something.
Always was.
Turning a honorable character into a tyrant, yay!
No such thing as a honorable dictator.
I love that you did the somersault and twirl into the lab as an easter egg to 64
What gets me are the little details,
Growing up playing the original on the snes Venon 2 route, I remember the highway stage.
When Fox flew over the highway, (A nod to Venom 2 route) seeing those people flee the war zone, all I thought was, "No! For the love of god, don't do it! They are not your enemy!" I thought for sure, in a moment of rage, he was going to straff that highway.
Those three seconds of suspense was masterful indeed. Well done!
I've played the SNES version several times since I was barely 8 there are no civilians in that level.
@@michaelflores9220 I know that.
But in the movie, there were!
I really like your job but, would look more awesome if the arwing boost come from the g-difusers propers, like Star Fox Zero or Starlink Arwing
Bro I am going to burn all my Nintendo consoles if they take this down. This is magnificent!
10:05 to quote the John Bailey from Honest Game trailers “OH MY GOD I PEED A LITTLE!”
NOOOOO WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?! :O this is so good!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I wonder if this will be avaible soon. This game seems to have a lot of love for the starfox games and is a massive reimagining of the first.
Honestly, I kinda like this more so than Zero.
10:56 Fox: has anyone told you you're ego is bigger then your head?
Me: nice come back fox!
Love the mix of old and new with the Andross fight
That final form looks like it came out of Resident Evil or something, great job!
What game is this?! I MUST HAVE IT!
Andross almost gave me PTSD
I love your fan works. But I am seriously keen for the day we get a Nephy Original IP.
I'm betting it will be even more amazing than this
If I live long enough it will happen.
This seems like an intresting take on the story.
I am curious on what the state of Venom will be once this is over though, I may be remembering wrong but I know for certain that Andrew was able to gather enough of his uncle's forces to create a new base, several new ships and launch another invasion after some time.
As much as the games seem to mock him, it is rather impressive that he managed to pull off a plan that complex in such a short span of time, and have a chosen successor in the case of his defeat as well (though pigma was an awful choice.)
With that said he would not have been able to pull that off if Venom was under guard or if he was being watched so something must have taken attention away from him while he did this.
Venom is a pretty big ecumenopolis so even if millions die there will still be more.
It's possible Andrew would reassemble what remains of the Venomian Military around the time of the Saurian Crisis and (from what I hear) Shears' planned coup against General Pepper.
That lighting makes Andross look more menacing.
