This past January a bucket truck didn’t yield to me at an intersection & totaled my 2010 Mazda 3. I’m only alive today because thankfully it had a five star crash rating.
Yeah the biggest cup that fits is 32oz and only from about 4 mainstream brands. I had to shop for a month to find one that fits perfectly- the Yeti 32oz without the handle.
Missing features that should be included at this price point: ventilated seats, power folding mirrors, rear vents, power passenger seat, rear usb ports
Mazda needs to bring back the 6 with the new Inline 6. I know they dont have the R&D resources, but it would be so cool. I'd be first in-line for it, instant trade in on my Mazda3 Turbo.
I bought this exact vehicle as a certified used 2024 model for $28.5K and only 5K on the odometer, doesn’t look like they changed anything for 2025. I absolutely love it, and luxury car quality! 30-32 mpg in mixed driving, plenty of power. I wouldn’t pay $39K for it, but for $28.5K you’d have to steal it to get it much cheaper.
Do you know if there's a big difference between the 2023-2025 models? I'm thinking about purchasing a Mazda 3 Hatchback, but I'm under the impression that nothing has really changed with this model; even as far back as 2021!
Have a 2023 turbo hatch for 2 years now and it's so much fun to drive. Every day I throughly enjoy driving it. Only downside is the MPG takes a huge hit if you are in the ZOOM ZOOM mentality. Other than that chefs kiss. 🖤MAZDA🖤
This could have been a serious competitor to the GR Corolla if it was offered with a stick option. The GR for this year just offered an automatic, so the Toyota gives you two options to choose from now.
Thanks. I’m aware of that offering. I was mainly referring to the AWD turbo 3 could have been the alternative to the GR Corolla if the 3 turbo had the stick. I remember the old 323 GTX from years ago and that was a very unique Mazda.
Far from a competitor. The GRC is built for track use. It’s a performance car. The Mazda 3 turbo is just a Mazda 3 with a turbo. The Mazda 3 turbo would go against a GTI. Although the GTI is more sporty and fun since it’s got a manual and a dual clutch offered.
@@MARTINRIGGSS Does it corner better? Yes. But I’d argue a more expensive, less reliable, and SLOWER car is not automatically more fun. Does the manual option set it apart? Yes. However its automatic option is badly lacking by comparison to the Mazda 3.
If they put the base I6 in the 3, and the top of the line turbo (the one from CX-90 turbo S) into a bigger sedan (shall we call it, I don’t know, Mazda6?) WITH an updated 8AT, their lineup in North America would be complete. No need to put hybrid, PHEV or worry about EVs anymore.
@Ben Hardy there was speculation that they were going to put the new inline-6 in a redesigned Mazda 6 sedan. They announced during the summer that they would in fact NOT do that. Bummer.
The 3 is the car of choice. We have a 2022 3 sedan with 23k miles. Non turbo & gets high 30s MPG on the highway. A nicely equipped one can be had for around $27k, no need to spend $40k
Turbo engines burn up after 100k miles. Motor oil cooks if engine turned off without first idling. Turbo timers? Duration: Let the engine idle for about 2-5 minutes after driving, especially if you’ve been driving hard or for an extended period.
Am I the only one who noticed how the "reverse" screen didn't change until he was already driving? As an owner of two Mazdas, I can confirm that their in-house A/V software is lacking. Apple CarPlay works great, though.
@@iforgotmine should have made it clearer, that the reverse screen becomes a forward facing view as well as the overhead viewvfor low speeds going forward on the change of direction.
I give cars the benefit of the doubt to price just as high as an SUV. But lacking CX-5's multi-link rear suspension and ventilated seats for the same price?
The only thing broke is the record amount of years Mazda can use this design. This model is 7 years old. They keep marking up the price, removing features every year. The generation before this one is twice the car of this 19-25. The 14-18 model had multi-link rear suspension. This gen has cheaper torsion beam. The older model was built better too. Needs a total redesign.
I was going to buy this car in Grey but I got a subaru impreza rs 2.5 for a good price and a family member works at subaru tho I like the 3 sedan looks
The CX-5 is not a car. It’s a crossover or SUV or whatever the heck you wanna call it, but it’s not a car. It seems you don’t understand that, for many car enthusiasts, an SUV/CUV is simply not an option! To car guys, those are transportation appliances - not cars. I read and watch YT videos about cars - not washing machines, air conditioners or SUVs!
Nah… it’s a car through & through. You don’t want to call it a car because your brain immediately thinks a 4 door sedan but an SUV/Crossover/Truck/Minivan etc is a type of car… A car, or an automobile, is a motor vehicle with wheels. Most definitions of cars state that they run primarily on roads, seat one to eight people, have four wheels, and mainly transport people over cargo. So… a Mazda CX-5 is a car that can be categorized as an SUV/Crossover. …………..but still a car.💁🏻♂️
Yes, the CX-5 Carbon Turbo is a much better value at the same cost. The CX-5 is Mazda’s best seller. Even the CX-30 Carbon Turbo is a much better choice. Same engine and features for ~ $4,000 less. CX-30 is Mazda’s 2nd best seller. Mazda doesn’t sell many 3 models - sedans or hatchbacks.
I wanted this car but for the crazy ass price I can get a way cooler car like a WRX or spend a couple grand more and get a nissan z. this is way too expensive for what it is.
You’re spending $6k more on the WRX and $12k more on the Nissan. That’s 1-2 years more of a loan or 2-300 dollars more a month. A HUGE difference in a daily driver. Not mo mention the 3 can reliably get 33 mpg highway and 27 in town on 91 octane. Plus insurance doesn’t classify it any differently than the base model so it’s $100 w month or less to fully insure. The cost of ownership over3 years is astronomically lower.
In your reviews why do you always take the same route? Why don’t you really take the car out for a drive, put it through its paces. Really test drive it.
