I'm 19 right now and honestly, I couldn't give a crap about all these new cars coming out. The cossie is my dream car, hands down. Has been since I first found it on Need for Speed Prostreet when I was 7. My goal in life is to earn enough money to get my own one, preferably one that needs a bit of work, one that's not perfect. I'd want to enjoy it, not put it in a garage.

Same here. I moved out here to the US and noticed they do actually have a few in the US one I just missed out on locally in NJ imported.
So I plan to get one over here within the next jfew years and keep it for my kids as an Investment.
get a regular mk5 and add all the kit + fit a more modern engine + a turbo that's too big to make sure you get the turbo lag feel😂 .
they're gonna be in the 100k range within a decade but an exact replica will cost barely ten grand and almost nobody will know the difference if your body kit fits well
@@TheCraigy83 Bit out of my price range currently mate, got a 2018 focus with a £9k loan, and that is absolutely draining me every month. It is also an absolutely horribly boring car to drive. No character whatsoever. Looking to replace it with a mk1 MX-5 soon, as I only need a fun weekend car that doesn't have to be practical. Spend 5 days a week driving round in a transit custom, so no need for a big estate car nowadays. A lot has changed since I was 19 lol
My dad had about 3 Sierra Cosworths one after the other when I was a kid, he would also have them tuned , he even drove from London to Italy in it a few times with me and mum and sister, don’t think he ever lost a race at traffic lights , incredible cars, dad passed away a few months ago from cancer so was nice seeing this video because anything to do with cossies reminds me of him
I've got a 400 bhp ford sierra cosworth estate ,its not everyone's cup of tea but when it hits 3,000 rpm it certainly is mine . Nothing beats a bit of boost and nothing says boost quite like an old skool cossie 👍

In 1994 I was 24 and had enough savings to buy a cossie but having only just passed my test an insurance enquiry resulted a fully comp fitted with a tracker was £25000 needless to say I waited two years ago a ex police grey volvo t5 and had enough left for the 5 grand to insure it those were the days young free and single

I own a 1996 escort Cosworth and totally agree there is nothing like this on the road. the attention it gets is second to done people doing a u-turn to catch you up at the lights and have a look/chat or take a photo
What a stunning car. There's a joy in getting boost on the exit of a corner. Left foot braking was my method of choice to exit a corner on full boost back in the day with a T3 turbo on a Renault 21 Turbo.
Greatest car ever built, remember my uncle having a Sierra cosworth may he rest in peace the last time I saw that car it was sat on the drive way with a blown gasket.

It was sprayed this colour back in the late 90’s by the guy who owned it back then who lived in the same town as me. Been kept this colour ever since. Part of the cars history and that is why it shall always be kept this colour. 💜
