Mate don't be silly it's me that's thankfull for ur amazing content , I'm 40 years old now and when i was 23 i bought motorsport developments demo sapphire cosworth 4x4 registration H522 EBV and ut was thier mule dor when they started selling Siemens black injectors and i paid £5500 for an immaculate moonstone blue 400 bhp cossie with a t38 63 turbo big black injectors and spiking 34 psi and holding 30 and making 398bhp and 420ft lb and at that time my mates were driving saxo vts and 200bhp rs turbo's so i was the daddy 😂can't wait for ur next video

They were a lovely motor! I remember insurance been like a grand to insure RS turbos at 19 yr old n we all thought that was mental……any 19 year old would be buzzing to insure a 1.0 Peugeot 107 for that money these days

I really enjoy both channels , I love a car history video and the related stories that go with it , I used to work in a rover dealership as a parts trainee I literally earned same money 100 quid a week the old man used to take 150 a month before and board as it he called it then I had 55 a month insurance and the rest went I. The petrol for my first car with alloys which I crapply modified with some mg alloys and a cherry bomb back box was a maestro 1.3 l I also debadged it . Always love a cossie I later worked at a Ford dealership and a guy has a saph cossie at 21 in 98 and was paying 3500 insurance we all thought he was a legend .😊😊😊😊

@@onthelimiter6529 no probs best thing that happened was when I put a whole bottle of redex in to try and clear the running on issue , it left a thick layer of oily smoke on cold mornings and smoked like a red arrow in acceleration .
You know, I am sure I sold my old Magenta Sapph minus engine snd box to someone up your way back in the mid 2000s. G498LNP. Sadly looks like its been scrapped as it hasnt had an MOT since 2009. One of a handful of cars I regret selling. Nice little video chaps.

@@rosonoftom1655 I’m editing his name out of the vid, that’s why it’s down mate. My biggest issue with the situation was he should have took ownership of the wonky stud. It should have been checked before it left and he should have covered the costs of stripping the engine back down and put back together again. There’s huge costs involved to a normal working man to do that. He’s adamant that swarf was in there and sadly we didn’t record any evidence of it so it’s only right we don’t mention it. Never really thought at the time.
@onthelimiter6529 You see with the wonky stud is thet yiu seams to can't accept that in cast iron there are hard spots after smelting process and they can appear at random spots and Lee said he was rushed by you guys to get it done and didn't had stud to check it out. On the swarf he was doing machining and the builder job is to make sure all is clean before assembly. So if there was work done around studs holes builder should have make sure there is nothing in them before assembly isn't it!!!

My mate had a scooter tuning shop in Batley so I used to always have a drive past well lane and have a look at the cars, I had mk 1 Uno turbo, mk 1 and 2 golf GTi , mk 2 XR2 , delta HF turbo and Integrale , Alfa Romeo sprint ......... Now I drive a diesel 😂,.. my mate had a big power saf cosworth did about 10 mile to the gallon 😮

The shell was a brand new cosworth shell. Only difference is the reselled ones had a different tow eye at the back (sapphire Cossie one) but yeah it’s the real deal still. Just with a 24 year old shell instead of a nearly 40 year old one lol

I sent Adam the pictures and info etc. let’s just say it was written off, bought back from the insurance company for £800, reshelled into a somewhat legit shell and somewhat legit parts were added in a wonky garage down Merseyside. It changed hands a few times before Adam got it though. Looks fckn amazing now though.
Glad you are editing the taken down video, Lee knows all to well the backlash from naming a company as that's what he did. He named two business that he wasn't happy with and the viewers harassed the company's. Obviously they were very upset about it and it was wrong. Another time Lee named a customer he was in dispute with and that video had to be taken down. Customer was very angry and upset about it. The response video to yours when he was saying it was wrong was petty rich coming from him. I feel sorry for you guys and the issues you had to deal with. Unfortunately you had work done by the worst engine machinist on the planet. He's just admitted that he mills with the cutter at an angle. This means the mill is out of tram, totally wrong and won't produce a flat surface. The same mill is used to do the head studs, wonder if he changes it back to vertical again for drilling.
You must be about the same car generation as me I'm 45 everyone had escort rs turbo s and 205 gti s when I passed my test. Not far from Newcastle aswell in hexham

My first Brand new car was a P plate Corsa Sport. My second Brand new car was a Saxo VTR on an R plate. And I drove it like a bell end everywhere. I’m talking about out the showroom cars Not my first cars. Had lots of RS Turbos/XR3I/COSSIE SAPHS. They cost nothing back in the 90s. Blow em up an scrap em 😢

Some little green injectors and a bit of extra boost won’t harm lol. Stage 3 is a basic tune on one of these things these days lol
