TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE AN AFTER-MARKET SYSTEM WITH THE RED BUTTON NEXT TO THE STEERING WHEEL, PRESS AND HOLD THE RED BUTTON WHILE STARTING THE ENGINE (button has to be pushed "out/off") WORKED FOR ME, ALSO REMOVE THE HORN SPARK PLUG IF YOU DON'T WANT TO HEAR THAT SHIIII! @@SushinAuto Okay, now _that's_ an interesting setup. You appear to have both the VIP Keyless Entry System _and_ the VIP S1000 alarm tied together. Possibly the rarest combination of all time! With this configuration, it functions essentially like a VIP RS3000 but without the glass breakage sensor. Program a new remote fob to the VIP Keyless entry ECU and you should no longer have issues with the alarm going off all the time.

@@SushinAuto It wasnt there lol. The gen 3 4Runner remote locking system is an enigma. My remote is the heart shaped one with the green button (RS3000). I asked the seller on Ebay for directions on how to orogram and he said its about pressing the red button below steering column in a certain sequence to put it into programming mode (looks like a light but is also a button). My friend just bought on on eBay for her Honda pilot and we followed the setup instructions like 10 times couldn’t get it to work for some reason. Maybe her keyless box is bad and not giving a signal. But I’m I thinking the 97 T100 should be the same as my 96. But I would still double check.

Hey bro thanks for making this video. I had a question. My car doesn’t want to start I’m pretty sure it’s alarm related since I lost my alarm remote. By removing that box will my car start? I noticed in the video when you tried starting the car it didn’t start. Thank you

Yes the car will start. Your alarm will just be deactivated. Like I showed in the video if you remove the 2nd box, then the car will not start. I just did that for an example to show people to only unplug one box not both of them.
