    Thank you, I just bought a set and it came with a water stone . But no profile strop. Now I'm going to make a profile strop before I start to learn how to carve. Thanks again.

    That seems like a good method for the outside surface. I’m assuming that the counterpart for the inside is some sort of grit, compound or polish infused matching dowel or other wooden object? Or do you simply do the inside with a flexible strop?

      Can you clue a piece of 400 grit sand paper in the groove would that work ?

      @@stevenwilliams712 probably, but I imagine you would want a finer course sandpaper. In the thousands
