I think people are going to suggest the obvious - Saddle Mountain opened back up after repairing fire damage and Silver Creek Falls is not far with a great campground or even cabins. Table Rock is near there outside of Molalla and there is a bunch of newer campgrounds along the Molalla River; it only takes about 45 minutes to get to the top, don't try and cheat the scree just stick to the switchbacks and you're fine. Thanks for showcasing Stub - it's kind of a showpiece and highly accessible, great promotion for not only outdoor active tourism but conservation as well. Fort Stevens is amazing, the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area is pretty cool, Oregon also has the world's largest "dark sky sanctuary" over in eastern Oregon. There are over 40 functional hot springs in Oregon, too. The entire coastline is public property - no fences, no corporate pollution, eat all the seafood. 🙂 Don't forget to ask about lava tubes and very large holes in the ground! *The Oregon Vortex has entered chat*
RV Jedeye....I have owned 3 RV's....two Class C & one TT. Still use a Class C. I'd like to recommend that whenever you leave your site with the awning extended from the RV, that you retract the awning. One never knows when a gust of wind might come up, or a branch will fall. This will protect your awning! Best regards. Dave
Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. There is a sensor on my awning incase something like that happens and will close up. The first time it did that it actually shocked me😂
Loved your visit-thanks for including me, I enjoyed every minute, including your choices for breakfast and dinner. I too am a victim of empty cassette movie boxes. You made me laugh 😅

I am impressed with the space between campsites! I told my husband about this and he said he had looked at it already. I'll definitely be showing him the footage of the campground. I love that there are trails and that a rail trail is easily accessible! I thought I saw another comment below that mentioned Ft. Stevens State Park near Astoria, OR. Highly recommend that one too. There is so much to see in that area. If you do check out Ft. Have you considered having meet ups? Stub Stewart is a top go to campground for staging a bike ride on the Banks to Vernonia trail. 22 miles of old railroad. Going south on the trail is 5 miles of downhill then 5 plus of flat. Going north it's curvy and fun. Thanks for the show.

You had a gorgeous campsite! I love large campsites, especially if they have some tree cover. To have full hook-ups is an added bonus. As you know, the Wisconsin SP only have electric. That works for us if their shower houses are clean, but FHU in a SP are the best! We are camping in Indiana in two weeks at a state park with large wooded site and FHU: the trifecta.😊
Just stumbled on your channel. Very nice review of the park. The named trails are mainly mountain bike trails. The paved trail is one of the prettiest multiuse trails around. I second the Silver Falls State park. You can see 10 major falls in a 6 ish mile hike. Oregon has a lot of scenic beauty. Crater Lake is a must see😊

Nice dramatic intro, there. lol We have lived in the Puget Sound area for 40+ years, but love the Oregon Coast and go there on vacations every year. But we have not visited Stubb Stewart State Park. Looks like a good one to try in the future.
David, you should explore Fort Stevens State Park in Astoria. It's one of the best in Oregon. You might want to invest in some wheels though. Maybe a bike or electric scooter. Oregon has lots of biking trails.

Whatever it is, go to a park for a day trip. Even if it’s hitting the beach for the day. Then walk around the park and look at some of the rvs and ask things like, “If you were going to RV what type of rig would you enjoy?” Then periodically send them a video you see from UA-cam or Instagram with the type of RV.
