In my limited experience (through Harvest Host) farmers have always seemed eager to share their story and show guests around the property. Hipcamp looks like a great fit for McMurtrey Farm, because it'll produce revenue in spring and summer when they're not selling pumpkins and trees. I'm stuck home for a few weeks, so thanks for taking us camping. 😀
So nice to see you smiling, relaxed and so very happy in your new to you rig! Sure looks so pretty in the twilight! Thanks for taking us along on this cool HIP adventure!
I've been aware of both Hipcamp and Harvest Hosts for a while now, but I didn't pursue checking them out because I had heard they don't allow minivans. After watching your video, I looked into Hipcamp in more detail and found out many of their sites do welcome minivans. I have a reservation in June for a Hipcamp outside of Black Diamond, WA! Thanks for another inspiring video, David!
The view looks like your backsplash lol. Interesting, seems like the farm could do Harvest Hosts, but I guess with HipCamp they are sure to get paid unlike HH, where sometimes the campers skip out without buying/paying anything.
Just found your videos. Watched this one and went to myself "that looks familiar" used to drive by it every day on my way to work, had no idea they rented sites for camping.
Beautiful view! Looks like a nice spot, I liked the foggy morning picutres. We've used Harvest Host and stayed at some absolutely beautiful places.Such a great option for boon-docking. I'm also totally with you, because it is so nice to support those local businesses
This looked like a nice place to stay overnight. We’ve never been to a Hip Camp site but we are going to a Harvest Host tonight. I also like supporting the local business community. It looks like you are enjoying your new rig. That’s great!😊
This is by Sixty Acres (soccer fields) in Redmond WA. I was just there late last night (Sat), trying to check out the aurora borealis. I didn't see much - i guess it was better Fri night/Sat morning. Looks like a fun camping spot without a long commute getting there! Great video!
We have used hip camp once. There was nothing special about the site but VERY nice people and it was convenient to see the site we wanted to see. We would use it again.
This was such a Chillaxing video. Such a cool laid-back feel to it overall! Even your meal said “easy going”…Andouille Sausage Hoagie w/Salad (nom nom)! I’m in love with your SW Bedspread - the force is really strong in you David 👏🏼 MTFBWY & LLAP 🖖🏼
you should try Told McDonald King County park in Carnation -- it's tucked away next to the river. Nice spots, water and elec. and cheap! You can walk to Remlinger Farms/brewery.
Great video as always! Starting my retirement celebrations and one gift given to me by my principals secretary was a year subscription to Harvest Hosts! Of course I cried as she knows we are going full time RVing in June.
Thanks for the heads up on the "HipCamp" resource! I hadn't heard about it before now! I'll check it out to see if I can find a "Big Rig" location close by!!! Love the weekend Get Away! I still work in the office 3 days, so these "Quick Camp" options are a perfect blend of Camping while Close to home! Many thanks for sharing!!! ~Big C in the DP 📢 ::: Air Horn 📢 ::: ::: Air Brakes! ::: 🚌🚌🚌
We haven’t used a Hip Camp yet just Harvest Host and Boondockers welcome. I’ve looked at a few but I’ve noticed the prices are all over the place. From hundreds of dollars to 10 bucks 🤷🏼♂️. No amenities and I’m going to pass on anything over 40 a night and that depends on location. Some are very reasonable and some are insane 😂 . That was a nice spot, quiet and safe. 👍🏼
Do you use a hotspot on your phone for editing? It looks complicated. I don't think I could have a UA-cam channel and produce videos. I heard it takes a lot of time and effort. Thank you for providing the content you do every week!❤
Thanks glad you enjoy the content😊 I do most of my editing on my laptop and then really only use my phone as a hotspot if I need to access the internet. There was a time where I did almost all of my editing straight on my phone. You CAN do it that way to start out😊
Nice get-away! When you started describing "Hip Camping" I immediately thought about Harvest Hosts. Did you get WeBoost for your RV? How was your service? Thanks for sharing your adventures!
“Mise en place” essentially getting all of the things ready to cook. So it you have to chop onions or peppers you do that. You lay everything out so that when you start to cook, you’ve got everything ready to go😉😊
Yes! One of the coolest things about it! Some spots even have bathrooms & electricity and more. Some even have cabins and yurts! You should check them out🤓
North of you, there is a KOA in Concrete, Wa which is close enough to a lot of things, such as the north end of the cascade pass. Diablo lake! Washington Pass….
Out of curiosity, if you are only staying one or two nights, why not leave the mattress pad and sheets on the bed? You could put away bulky pillows and blankets but you could also cut down on your setup time leaving some of the bed linens on the bed between trips.
Well I guess because I’m out hiking and exploring a lot, sometimes dirt and sand gets in and while it’s a little hassle to get them on and off, don’t mind the extra steps to cleaning them😊
Nice spot bro...too bad it wasn't the 'other kind of Xmas tree farm' 🤣 Couple of those music tracks were dope 👍 ..is that what you hip kids are saying? 🤗
I liked your interview with the owner. I wish I were self-contained! I have a tear drop, so that's not an option 😢. Can you camp at HIP Camp without being self-contained?
I really enjoy your videos. I love how you stay local. It shows local people all the great places they can go. Thank you so much.
Thanks so much! Really trying to showcase the area and all that's out there😀

You got it! And when you check their site out, Hip Camp has a lot of options 😊
those trees on the kitchen backsplash now seem prophetic.
😂 I hear you
So nice to see you smiling, relaxed and so very happy in your new to you rig! Sure looks so pretty in the twilight! Thanks for taking us along on this cool HIP adventure!
Aww thanks! Love sharing and I smile when I’m having fun for sure😊
Thanks . Never heard of Hip camp I really like the new rig. Thank you for sharing. Safe travels.
Love sharing and Hip Camp is a great option 😊
Glad you checked out a hip camp!!! We recently went to one in Tennessee and it was a great experience to try something new at a great price.
I love it as an option right? Just adds to the places you can explore 😉
The inside decor of the RV fits in with Christmas Tree Farm.
😂 you know you’re right!
Wow!!!!!! The view is beautiful!! 🙋🏼♀️😅👀relax view 👍🏼
Very relaxing 😊
Looks peaceful. Christmas trees smell so good ❤
It was lovely 😁

Yeah I guess that’s true. I need to try out another spot for HH, the last time I stopped they got me to buy A LOT of wine😂
Lol thats funny! Where did you go? @RVJedeye
Thank you for sharing. That’s very nice.
Glad you enjoyed 🤗
Beautiful place. Peace and quiet and a nice view is all you need along with somewhere to take a stroll.
Yes it was beautiful 😊
Just found your videos. Watched this one and went to myself "that looks familiar" used to drive by it every day on my way to work, had no idea they rented sites for camping.
Yep! Found it on HipCamp. I think it would be cool during the fall for sure😁
How fun. I've not heard of Hip Camp before and definitely checking it out.
Great spots to camp differently 😁

It was a pretty scene in the morning and I’ve heard good things about Harvest Host too😊

Love supporting local businesses too. Hip Camp was cool, will do it again 😁

Thanks! And cool! Always love finding new spots😁
I have Harvest Host, but wasn’t familiar with Hip Camp. I gotta try it. Thank You for sharing!
It’s really cool😁

Cool… I want to try a new spot soon and see how it goes again 😁
As always enjoyed your video.😊
Meals look delicious.
Why thank you… wait until next week😉

MTFBWY & LLAP 🖖🏼
Thanks! Yeah I loved getting away for a short stop😊
Listening to the birdsong in the background, that is what made you sleepy!
😂 probably
Looked like a peaceful stay! I got my eyes on a couple HipCamp spots here in WI, but haven’t pulled the trigger yet.
Mike do it… I’ll think you’ll enjoy 😊

Went there car camping a couple of years ago, may try it again with the RV😊

You were only about a mile from the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery. They have lots of events there and their wine is pretty good.
Ohhh I know😉🥂🍾 Will have to back there some time
Great video as always! Starting my retirement celebrations and one gift given to me by my principals secretary was a year subscription to Harvest Hosts! Of course I cried as she knows we are going full time RVing in June.
Congratulations! Make sure you check out Hip Camp too, some places you can stay multiple nights😊
Good video. Thanks for sharing this information. I wasn't aware of Hipcamp before seeing this video.

Very relaxing video with a great view. Thanks for sharing.
Always😊
That's so cool .....
Yep it was😉
That fog is cool!!
I know right? Caught it at the perfect time😁
Looks to be accessible to all. We shouldn't have any problems getting around with our mobility scooters. Nice!
Nope you could drive around and still enjoy the farm😁
What a nice, peaceful spot so close to the city. It's cool to hear people's stories!
Love sharing 😊
Thanks for sharing!
Always 😁
Yes, shaved is nice. Was there a nice christmas tree aroma?
Yep… kind of nice 😊
Your food look real good
Thanks I always try😊
I love you van it’s really classy 🚎
Thanks, I’m really loving it so far 😊

Yeah you do have to find that sweet point for the spot, but it looks like depending on where you’re at it could be the price of a state park🤓
We love Hip camps!
I’m just starting to explore them😁
Very nice and peaceful! Does your RV have a screen for the door? I thought it did. We haven’t tried hipcamp yet…
Yes it does which is really nice😁

Service was great. Haven’t done WeBoost yet but probably coming 😊
I’m late to the channel. What does “mees and plus” mean?
“Mise en place” essentially getting all of the things ready to cook. So it you have to chop onions or peppers you do that. You lay everything out so that when you start to cook, you’ve got everything ready to go😉😊
@@RVJedeye Thanks. I’m enjoying the cooking segments!
I was gonna say are you In Redmond Wa?
Yep!🤗
Do hip camping locations allow car camping? Not living in my car, just wanting to do safe camping.
Yes! One of the coolest things about it! Some spots even have bathrooms & electricity and more. Some even have cabins and yurts! You should check them out🤓
@RVJedeye thanks to finding your videos I am gaining the courage to do so.
North of you, there is a KOA in Concrete, Wa which is close enough to a lot of things, such as the north end of the cascade pass. Diablo lake! Washington Pass….

..is that what you hip kids are saying? 🤗
lol… not sure, but heck we’re old school enough to say it😂
What is “hip” camping?
It’s a cool way to find unique camping/RV spots. You should check them out😁 www.hipcamp.com/en-US
I liked your interview with the owner. I wish I were self-contained! I have a tear drop, so that's not an option 😢. Can you camp at HIP Camp without being self-contained?
You repositioned the “vehicle “. You have to give it a name.
Coming😁😉
I think , a class B is a better fit for you than class A or C.
Thanks. Enjoying it so far😊
I realize you are supporting a local business, but $55/nite just to park? No water or electricity???
This was my first Hip Camp and they do have other spots on the site at different rates😊
