Cheap £90 Polytunnel build done RIGHT!, Single handed, Part 2 Finishing off.
Today, I decided to erect another cheap polytunnel, PART 2 FINISHING OFF Step by step guide
Make sure if you do this, you select a GAVENISED Frame. Ideally 25mm framing but this one is only 18mm. The polytunnel will be a no dig, citrus tree and fruit tree affair, as they are suffering in the pots and difficult to maintain.
This is a step by step guide how to erect a cheap polytunnel which means lots of preparation, but the end result will be worth it, so if you have had no luck with cheap polytunnels in the past? then this video is for you
THANK YOU TO ALL MY SUBSCRIBERS. Every single one of you.

Hi Alan, What a brilliant job carried out single-handed, this is a credit to you for showing you're commitment and dedication to the plot. Hopefully, you will get many years of service from the new polytunnel and it will fulfil all of your requirements in its productivity. I look forward to watching its progress.
Well done once again and thank you for taking the trouble to record these inspirational achievements.
Gordon
Thanks very much for your very positive encouragement Gordon and your kind words I hope people will find it useful if planning on getting a cheap tunnel how to at least give it some chance of survival they get bad press but to be fair if they are put up right and anchorage is good they usually do last a while mate.stay safe Alan
@@alansallotment I couldn't agree more Alan.

Glad I found your channel Alan, I am about to build more or less the exact same polly tunnel. Watching your video has really helped me. I have decided to angle grind the 8 bottom leg ends off and sit the lot on the base rail as I don’t have the same patience as you do x
Thanks Alan ⛺️
Lol mate yes that will also work my allotment it in one of the windiest places on earth on top of a 300ft quarry and its still standing 👍
@@alansallotment I’m in Buxton, Derbyshire Alan, also a very windy place but with the help of your educational videos I’m certain it won’t blow away 🌬️. I’m on a 10 year waiting list for an allotment 🤦🏻♀️ life’s too short so that’s why I’m having one in my back garden. Thanks for your reply Alan. Happy gardening pal 🌱 🥦 🥕 🥔 🌸

So not a carrot hole digger 😂😂😂. Wow you are a beast building that all alone although I’m sure the son would have helped if you needed. Great job Alan it will be absolutely a game changer and could even be a giant walk in brassica cage. Thank you for sharing have a phenomenal week 🐝 safe
Lol 😆 🤣 yes it will be a great fruit tunnel hopefully, yes Tony would of helped me but he was away having a well earned break with his family 👪 on a holiday. And I wanted it up I'm so impatient ha ha ha 😂 thanks for watching stay safe
Well done Alan! Looks spectacular!
Cheers mate thanks for the comment again 👍 stay safe Alan
Hi Alan, loving the new intro, music is lovely 🙂 what a fantastic job you have done on your own! Brilliant idea on the flags as i have had major problems with birds with my polytunnel, i have holes were they have landed, gutted, but, have used the tape to patch it up for now. Thanks for sharing and take care 🙂
Thanks Christine, if you have a way to attach the flags I highly recommend them they definitely work to keep birds off the tunnel 👍 stay safe Alan
Hi Alan, what a brilliant job you have done with the polytunnel. All that rain. That will do all the plants good. We have had hardly anything I’m watering everyday sometime twice. Great video as always thank you for sharing
Thanks again for your comments Nikki yes I'm quite pleased with the end result hope you found it useful and enjoyed it 😀 👍 stay safe Alan
my last polytunnel was ruined so i bought a new one. under normal circumstances, like yourself, i would have tried to do it single handed. i now have a problem. i lost a leg 4 years ago. i never thought it could be so difficult to find anyone capable to errect a simple polytunnel. i think you did a sterling job showing how easy it is to construct one.......................brian
Thanks for your comments Brian sorry you are finding it difficult mate surely you have someone who could help you? If not I hope this helps in some way stay safe Alan
Looking good fella
Cheers Lee, stay safe Alan
Wow Alan well done you. Can I ask you what size battons did you use for the inside and also how has this polytunnel stood up to our great British weather I am debating if to buy outsunny or VEVOR polytunnel what are people's thoughts please.
Thank you
Well done Alan i did something very similar a few years ago, by myself and its still in good service. Hard work but so worth it. Many thanks for sharing,
Good luck
Thanks for your comment Richard, your so right if you are going to put one up ceap or otherwise you need to give it a fighting chance at least 😉 stay safe Alan 👍
Interested to find out how long the plastic lasted. You've given me inspiration to try again. Mine was totally destroyed in a winter storm but your extra framing may help. Alan.
Still up and standing Alan see recent videos
Brilliant job dad!! Well done..impressed!!!
I did have a little giggle at the cover going on...then off ...then on again 🤣 can imagine the F and B's that will have came from ya...bet that's why ya sped it up and cut out the audio 🤣🙈
Lol you know me so well Michelle 🤣 I'm saying nothing 🤣 pleased you got a giggle 😃 lots of love Dad xx
@@alansallotment 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I got this plastic sheeting it says it lets 70 percent sunlight in, i have been wondering if thats enough, its very strong looking and feels it
Yes that should be fine thanks Alab
Jeezo mate you say that the polytunnel cost £90 but how much have you spent on the additional materials ? My polytunnel cost £180 6m x 3m. I purchased 10 5ft wood posts and with the aid of a sledgehammer I sunk them 3 ft into the ground. I then drilled holes in them and cable tied them to the frame and buried the skirting. Only cost me £65 extra and was completed in a day It’s been up for a year now and survived all the strong winds But the material of the tunnel is garbage.
Cheers mate thanks for your comment. this isn't the only way. but suites me and yes extra materials but but the point was to show that if they are put up correctly they can be worth the purchase. Stat safe Alan
Don't be an Alan 🤣🤣🤣
