You absolute legend. Doing that single handed is no easy ride. And what a hero, you read the instructions 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Brilliant that you recycle items, this is what makes it accessible to every size pocket. I like to try and do things for free or cheaply, it’s part of the journey. Lovely video, thankyou 👍🌻🌱⛲️
Glad you enjoyed the video Rachel….yes I try to reuse and recycle as much as possible. And I’m the same as you…..free and cheaply….but now and again I treat myself ….well it is my main hobby! 😉🌱👌💪🏼
@@theflyinggardener absolutely. This way when cash is spent it means so much adding to a special well gardened area. Yesterday i brought a plant just because it bears the name of someone i lost last year.
Hey Jim…thanks! 😁💪🏼🌱 Yes, the directions were somewhat easier than the greenhouse!! 😂😂😂 And I remember your videos when you built your polytunnel…..you did a great job! 💪🏼😁
The poly looks marvelous. I like the flipped compost area…so much better. I’ve been eyeing those Birdies Bed’s for awhile, so I can’t wait for our upcoming vlog. I spent my first entire day of 2023 in the garden today. Looks like a handful of good weather days ahead, so more gardening. Just have to cool my jets a minute because frosts are still possible through mid May. I started 2 of the 72 cell trays of flowers…but a flat of flowers might have followed me home today😂😂😂
Hey Robin, I agree…the compost area looks so much better now, and the tunnel is a great useable space….so it’s all worked out great! 😁💪🏼 Yess birdies beds coming up next! So glad you were able to enjoy the garden …..makes you feel so much better doesn’t it!? We had a couple of days of sunshine so I was in my element 😍🌱🌻💪🏼
@@theflyinggardener Just looked at long range forecast and Thursday is predicting 81f / 27.2c. That’s freaky warm. No frost through the 22nd, so the hardening off will commence. I may need to buy brassica transplants if this trend continues. Mine won’t have enough time before the heat.
It looks amazing! Next time you have a big project like it, ask for some help, Grinch and I would have come to help. I was so sorry to see you had no help. You did a fantastic job though. You can be proud, it is a wonderful space. Your plot looks beautiful! 😄👏🎉👍👏👏👏👏🎉🎉🎉🎉
Ahhh that’s so kind! I could have got some help but I’m just impatient….😂 Thanks, I’m really happy with the winter projects being completed and plot is looking how I want it this year! 😁💪🏼
So pleased for you Will, you did well doing it on your own. We used to have a blow away walk in greenhouse and we put metal stakes on each corner and it certainly worked. We used to take the cover off each Winter, but it obviously wasn't as big as a polytunnel. It stayed in place for a good few years before we took it down.
@The Flying Gardener, can I ask what make it is? As my one on my allotment is falling apart as it was there when I got the plot and definitely needs renewing.... looking forward to next vlog. Xxx
Will ...that greenhouse falling apart was probably a blessing in disguise, you made the absolute right decision with the polytunnel, looks great and fits perfectly in that space 👌
That will be an amazing addition to the plot. It will open up so many possibilities for growing. Good job on the build to. You should have titled the episode “Suns out - guns out. 😁
ohhh big tunnel ive just bought a second polly house its taken 2 or 3 hours just to clear n move n weed the area ready to build it lol but ill need my sons help to get the cover on i did the last one alone and it killed but isn't it exciting to get more room to grow things
Hi Kate, I’m pleased you found it helpful. I don’t mention the names of any companies if I’m not endorsing their products, I hope you understand. However there are many of this type online, and easy to find. Good luck with the build! 😁💪🏼💚
Thanks Mary….I’d rather not give the company name as I’m not endorsing their product, but if you search online you will find it. Have a lovely week! Will 🌻
@@theflyinggardener I understand thank you for your reply. I did actually do alittle detective work and took a picture of the box so managed to get the name. 😬
Ahh Will, I’m so pleased for you. That polytunnel is going to be an awesome growing space, it’s huge!! and the compost bays upgraded 👏👏 I like your idea of having the darlek for the finished compost. Excited to see what you grow in the ploytunnel.
Thanks so much Sarah….super happy to have this new space up and running. The plan at the moment is to have tomatoes , peppers and chillis in the polytunnel for summer. Then I want use it over winter for some brassicas . Exciting times…..💪🏼😁🌱…praying it withstands the storms 🙏
Great job... I'm similar, impatient but I also love the sense of achievement of doing it myself.
Absolutely agree!!
