Passing this hidden away Clink Prison Museum on many of my London walks - and incidentally, they call this the best museum in London.
I felt it was time to film inside The Clink to show the astonishing history.
The Clink dates back to the 16th century and can be found at: Clink Street, SE1 9DG

I love the musky, damp smell of these original museums which adds to the authentic noises and artefacts makes them so realistic.

I visited the tower bridge experience Sunday just gone 1/10/23 and walked past this on way back to London eye, this is on my bucket list to do

Gregorian chant music to start how scary can this be? Dear me! 😱 we certainly wouldn’t want to be around in those days, those poor souls. The old Judge was harsh and heartless sounding wasn’t he? Phew! I think after that a glass of wine in the Anchor would have been most deserving. Again, another enjoyable but scary watch. 😀

Have been to the clink, is a very spooky place, apparently the building is haunted!

So now I know where the term 'throw him in the clink' comes from. Always thought it was slang for prison cell.

300 years of my family in that immediate area, my irish gt x 3 grandparents came there to may pole alley, by the crossbones graveyard. long gone now. that bishop of winchester was an evil piece of work

Great place to visit
We visited. It's alright but not worth the £8 entrance fee as nothing is original except for a wall and it's a very short tour. 1 and done.

Great museum
Wouldn't call it the best as its not very big. Its ok but doesn't warrant a 2nd visit. Museum of London is the best.
