Hi, just wanted to add a point towards the stabilization. Since a certain update there is gyroscope data stabilization available when using davinci resolve. Only huge issue is you have to set the focal length before shooting if you go with manual lenses. Also it gets rid of the rolling shutter, too.
I try to use the buttons on top for most of the adjustments (ISO, WB, etc), but if I need to get to the screen I just tilt the battery out of the way. You could probably place the battery farther away from the camera in order to achieve more space to use the touch screen, but I personally prefer a tighter setup because it's more comfortable
I certainly would want to add one if I was using a Pocket 4k on a serious shoot. The IR pollution can be pretty noticeable. I don't own one at the moment though
Why would anyone what a Plate that weighs a ton on their rig… the goal should be to have a well balanced rig, not too heavy but not too light. The Smallrig rail base is just fine.
A heavier rig is damn near necessary to run this camera handheld. The micro jitters are awful. Balances entirely subjective. I do do a lot of handheld work, so I prefer a heavier rig. Working out is also an excellent way to relieve the stress of the weight.

Keep this great content coming brother. Love me a good build vid. Blackmagic has my heart, especially their pocket line.
Thanks mane! I really appreciate that
thanks for the help for rig tips, and not giving up on the bm 4k camera! ❤
BMPCC 4k is amazing, best purchase I have ever done. For $1250 and they also give you davinci resolve? It was like a gift buying it 5 years ago.
Yeah it's such a great investment to make, especially since it includes Resolve in the box
Super simple rig. How do you mount a mic without a rig when you want audio?
Maybe there’s an audio guy on the jobs he’s working. Or, the type of content he shoots doesn’t need audio (and instead relies on a library or VO)
@@bruhdabones All those could be true. I am just curious about Jake's process for when he's recording audio.
@@DANAMIONLINE Fair enough
If you have a cage you can have other mounting points where you can mount a mic
@@VoltageFilms This is true. I am just curious about Jake's process for when he's recording audio.
What lens is that in the bmpcc 4k?
Do you have access to the camera display with the battery back there?
Also wondering this!

SinLoon Gold Plated High Speed 90 Angle Right HDMI Male to Left HDMI Male Adapter Cable Supports Ethernet, 3D and Audio Return
Do you use IR filter of some sort for the bmpcc4k
I certainly would want to add one if I was using a Pocket 4k on a serious shoot. The IR pollution can be pretty noticeable. I don't own one at the moment though
Yeah, slick.
Daw thanks

The whole point is to add weight
Slick!
