Hi everyone! I am the DEDICATED Total War Warhammer 3 player who created this juicy army. Thank you Legend for reviewing this army, I was shaking and giggling like a little girl the whole time.
As for everyone else, thank you for the appreciative comments. I questioned myself many times while creating the whole thing, but it was all worth it in the end... I think. 😀
Also, I just want to point out one thing about the Master recruitment limit. The Black Ark's Master recruitment building ignores the capacity. Once you have that, you can recruit all 19 at the same time.
Since every Black Ark Mechanism is broken.

Settra travels around with a guy who's sole job is to recite Settra's entire list of titles, unabridged, at every meeting and before every offering and prior to every battle. This person is trained to perform this task twice as fast as a regular person.
It takes him two full hours.
Nobody comes close to the amount of titles that Settra has.

One upside to this doomstack is that you only have to do the work once. After you've made it you can use it in any number of future campaigns.

@@rainfang1992 It does, I have a few bloodthirster lords who I call Khorne's chosen executioners, and their sole job is to lead the charge for any direction Skarbrand isn't going in himself.

The traits have ranged ability and stat boosts because they share the same power pool with the male dreadlord who comes with a crossbow
Masters on any of their mounts, including a cold one chariot, get no ranged attack option, just like the female dreadlord.
Legend maybe a new series, or well spinoff from doomstacks, is rating crapstacks. As you mentioned, AI being incredibly skittish about auto-resolve means there is a need for armies that absolutely suck in AR, but wreck face in manual. What kind of armies are great at baiting sufficient attacks, that lead to strategic victories where the enemy continually trickles in armies and you just wipe them over and over so conquest can proceed?
Wood elf hero doomstack - just put a "forest kin" item on each of them. They with 20 characters u get -100 morale for enemy immediately after battle start - of cos u will have archer hero and life magick to ignore basically all damage u can take. And break almost all armies, except ungrim's one, whatever they strong and entity.
In AR they are weak too))
Well, Elves are prone to vanity so they approve that army.
I still want to see 90% invincible Skarbrand with skaven friends, i think this would be extreme case for those impractical doomstack
There's a glitch currently with DE that when a character is wounded, they get the name of power dilemma each time

Hero stacks don’t do well without wizards. Most heroes don’t deal good area of effect damage. These Masters most certainly don’t. Took them 15 bloody minutes to cut through the vampires. This army could really use 2-3 sorceresses endlessly spamming the flock of doom.
I think that items that give some bound spells may improve that vanity stack. Especially one with Dwellers below.

I think the strongest doomstack that I've seen is the leadership debuff one. Think it was with Beastmen?
The stinky beastmen and pompous lizardman stacks are the most busted
Lizardman pompous doomstack. It has a -4 leadership to enemies. So an army of lizard heroes on dinosaurs with a skink oracle to heal them is truly one of the strongest doomstacks you can make.
Or Vampires/Vampire Coast with Dread Incarnate which does the same thing.
Although you still need some killing power against Unbreakable units like Steam Tanks or Terracotta Sentinels.

How a Warhammer novel describes dark elves fighting none dark elves. Malus Darkblade books, ten Druchii and a some cold ones slaughter an army of Beastmen.

And no cheating or anything from my pov, it’s mechanics present in the game, it doesn’t involve a mod or an exploit that break one or couple of these mechanics, so it’s free of any criticism. Well done to him.
its definetly not an intended mechanic for the playerbase to use....i'd see this as cheating, no doubt.... with this mechanic you can have multiple times the same legendary lord in your campaign (wth??^^)....yes the machnic is to load an character from an other campaign, but for the dilemma to pop up again, thats definetly false or a bug....
but im not judging here, everyone should play as they like and have fun with it.... but to call this legit is ridicolous imo^^
Oh yeah I agree about LL, that shouldn’t happen. But otherwise, generic heroes & lords, etc. i thought it to be fair play, that’s what I meant.
@@TheChreezyy yeah I personally agree with that, certain cheeses like this are borderlining on exploit territory for me and I try to steer clear. But it’s all up to you what you want to consider as cheese and what you consider an exploit. Generally if it either trivializes the game to an absurd level or requires an extreme amount of effort (like this) I stay away. But everyone is different.
With how long it takes for my save files too load, i can't even begin to fathom how long this might take. me to make lol. True dedication.
I think you can give masters, assassins, and death hags a Rubric of Dark Dimensions or a Khaine's ring of Fiery Convocation to make this stack truly top tier. The Rubric gives you a bound pit of shades and the Khaine's ring gives you a bound Fiery Convocation spell. In my Malekith campaign, I gave those to my masters, and it was disgusting. Have them go get blobbed up by infantry and drop that spell on top of them to knock 4-5 units down to half health. Granted, there's not much point to doing it since most armies should have a sorceress anyways.
In my campaign for Hellebron I confederated Morathi and all her heroes (not agents) had 3 names of power. I don't know if it was a bug or a coincidence. I didn't notice this with another dark elf nation I confederated with, but it's quite a powerful thing. When you catch the right set of names.
How the hell is this only turn 162?
Painting the map in just 162 turns would have been incredibly impressive back in ME. Surely there's no way to do that legitimately in IE?
Nah there’s definitely ways to do it. There’s quite a few factions that can snowball super quickly. HE and DE, despite being “weaker” are still extremely strong. And lowered supply lines across the board means you can effectively pay half the cost late game (or even early game with the right cost reductions).
Legend did full map competition on his undefeated high elves campaign on turn 120 ish. With lowered supply lines it should be doable.
I don't know if it is possible in Warhammer III but in Warhammer II I did full IE map on legendary in much less than 100 turns (it was like 70-80 turns) using Wood Elves. It is not so hard, just extremely boring at some point when you have like 20 armies with the same composition (4 units doomstack: life spellweaver, forest dragon, glade captain, glade riders) and you have to fight 15-30 manual battles (autoresolve doesn't work with this kind of army) every single turn. Also it wasn't optimized - I guess with proper planning you could do full map in 50 turns.
Dark elves CAN do it if you're super active and you get lucky with the other factions conquering their areas for you. Granted it is a bit unbelievable. Having a ton of slaves reduces the time it takes to build buildings and once you conquer the chaos wastes and Ulthuan, you're snowballing in the campaign. If you build all the economy buildings and you're constantly expanding, you can afford 15 + armies fairly early (not even counting the 6-7 black arks you can conquer ports with). I also used black arks to conquer every port city I could. Granted it took me 150 turns to conquer about 3/4ths of the map. I got all of Naggaroth, conquered Ulthuan and the chaos wastes simultaneously. Then I went and got Lustria, cleared out the southern wastes and went up through the southlands before conquering the old world. I confederated Lokhir super late, and he had already conquered half of Cathay for me. Morathi and Rakarth also got a lot of lizardmen knocked out making my Lustria conquering about 30 turns long. Fortunately, none of the old world factions had developed much since they were constantly killing each other and it made rolling them fairly easy. I ran a lot of shades and hydras for most armies making most enemies trivial to defeat. I ended up having a few military alliances though. Those high elves in the eastern colonies (near Ind) were the only faction I didn't wipe out so I could get high elf units too.
Full map completion in WH3 is easier than in WH2, the AI is far weaker, and going from one side of the map to the other is actually easier thanks to sea lanes
Not that any upstanding citizen who calls themselves a LegendofTotalWar fan would ever use SaveParser or other SFedit software to achieve absurd levels of hilarity, it is entirely possibly to trait manage multiples of the same Names of power. In particular Barbstorm can be stacked to provide over +150% range and +300% missile damage to your entire army, transforming any ranged unit into an artillery piece. In a similar vein it is also possible to stack multiple Malus Isilvar followers (x12) on a few heroes to achieve a stacking +8% physical resistance (+96%). If by some happenstance you also trait manage 9 Heinrich Kemmlers you can obtain a lovely 90% magic resistance, also for your whole army. But nobody here would ever consider using such underhanded tactics, I surely don't.

I believe that MA/MD differential limit is much more than 50, plus you have flanking penalties, so 86 MD is actually too low to not care about debuffing enemy MA. Obviously there's no point in buffing these ones further, as they managed to kill 4 stacks with a lot of HP to spare, but technically aura stacking and some armors of destiny would elevate this doomstack to just stupid levels of OP.
Why its fair to use Festus on the Nurgle Hero stack and not the Lord in here?
Because Legend is super biased and most of these 'tests' are utterly botched.

This is so quick and easy to make. With the lords you get a trait when you load them in, and a trait when you disband them. Firstly a level 10 hero can be hired on turn 2 if you break down your buildings. So start a game, play to turn 2, then hire them. If its not the one you want reload the quicksave.
I have a bunch of lords with every trait. You just load it in (thats one trait option), then when you disband them it makes you select another one.
He has clearly just copied the saved character as it would be a more difficult feat to get them all with the same face unless he used variant selector.
Heh, this doomstack is funny in a sense that it's a generic lord and 19 heroes... who are more elite (just by sheer mass of bonuses they provide) that some legendary lords.

The Names of Power are the same options that Dreadlords get, and Dreadlords with Crossbows 'need' the missile stuff.
DE is my favorite race in WH3 and by far the most powerful

It kinda feels Legend didn't want this to be an OP doomstack. Literally leaving 2 units afking the whole battle, and letting another 2 take the brunt, alone, in the middle of the enemy force, while the others remained clumped and had each other's backs. Right-clicking once at the beginning of the battle, then taking your hands of the keyboard isn't viable for ANY doomstack. You still need to keep them all together.
That's kind off the point, winning literally effortlessly to test how strong it is.
Yes, it really feels that he is sometimes biased against some doomstacks sent. That is why it is hard for me to enjoy videos like this. It is like he, consciously or unconsciously, doesn't differentiate between "not having to fight the battle optimally" and "deliberately fighting the wrong way" in order to "show strength" of a doomstack. If we are talking the way people would realistically use this kind of army, there are several problems. Why take the lord off the battlefield? Nobody would do that, and it is not even like the lord was an overpowered caster, it was just a melee lord. Also, letting some units sit on the sidelines doing nothing, while letting others get isolated and take all of the damage? Even the worst player would be capable to select all of his units and right click on an enemy unit with this kind of army, so the "bad player" argument has no place here.
And yet… it *was* viable. Even played that poorly. That’s kinda the point of ridiculous doomstacks. If they’re really good, you can micro like crap and they still do fine.

Well Legend doesn't like the dark elf factions much. He's more of a high elf player. I like all the elven factions. Honestly this doomstack would be disgusting strong if the guy who made it put the bound magical spell items on these heroes. Those are enchanted items like the Rubric of Dark Dimensions and Khaine's Ring of Fiery Convocation. The first one gives you a bound pit of shades and the other gives you a fiery convocation spell. That would make this stack almost as powerful as the pompous lizardmen dinosaur hero stack.
For equipment, number 1 on my list is equipment that gives bound spells, to clear out chaff faster

On melee defense: There is always a minimum percent chance to hit; not sure exactly what that chance is [probably 1-in-20, so five] so you could have Brettonian Peasant Mobs here, and they'd *still* get hits in every so often.

noticed before when trying to get multiple thoreks in my dwarf campaign he was not invulnerable so he could be killed and not respawned, dunno if that was fixed afterwards

The thing for ranged attacks is there even though masters have no ranged attacks because it's the same trait for khainite assassins

Hey Legend, pkease do a breakdown of the worst/best mounts in TW3 . Since you mentioned in im very curious.
As soon as I heard the claim that it was the strongest, I called bullshit, because Masters aren't unbreakable. The best doomstack in my eyes is the Pompous Hero doomstack. Brings their leadership to zero (Before added modifiers for that battle) and access to some of the best mounts in the game. No matter what, no matter how much damage they can take, it all means nothing when they break. If that army loses twice in a single turn, they're gone. All this without any items as well, and with items become unstoppable.
It's really easy to duplicate the characters once you have one perfect one. You can use a hexeditor, or as I did and wrote a script that spits out as many copies as you want in a second
I was going to say that, but then I realized you could also just use an editor to throw all these titles onto the character without even bothering with making them in-game. If you're going to use an editor, why not just go all the way?

@@Sletchman i did some experimentation regarding actually changing traits directly. I could get it to work, but only changing to traits the hero/lord could obtain naturally, there may be a validation pass after they get imported. The game crashed if you mess up the binary structure so experimentation is tedious.
Oh ffs, I DIDN'T edit the traits! Totally legit! What I ACTUALLY did was cheat my ass off a completely different way!

all the traits that affect ranged abilities and ammo i think were intended for the crossbow dreadlord and they just forgot to remove them from the pool for masters
I got more traits when I disbanded a lord, they got the option to choose another name. I didn't repeat it enough to know that it's 100% how it worked for me

Nooooo legend now CA will fix this. I was enjoying using Shadowdart, Barbstorm, and Grey Vanquisher on the same lords.
It's actually easier than you describe. Load a save, load the character, get event, save character, reload save without saving it and repeat. No need to go back a turn as long as you don't save with the character in the game. Works just fine on legendary since there's no forced save from the event.

Is volley of dark arrows the skill that shows up on DreadLords skill tree upon recruiting but is no where in their skill line?
Even seeing all this, a khorne minotaur doomstack is still the fastest way to clear 4 full stacks of anything

it would be cool if there is a chance to dismount horse(smaller mount) and rather have large mounts have their own health pool, so you kill the mount first, dismount him and kill the lord?

If you've put in this amount of effort in to get all the names of power, I'd say you earned using trait manager in the future. Would NEVER do this twice.
Is it stronger than the Exalted heroes of Nurgle tho?
