In this video, I delve into the exceptional editing work of Gio, who I passed the torch for him to be Logan Paul's new video editor. We offers an in-depth review of Gio's editing prowess, particularly highlighted in a recent fight video that showcases Logan Paul Vs Dillon Dannis
    KEY TAKEAWAYS
    - The video discusses the transition of the role of video editor for Logan Paul, from the creator of the video to the new editor, Gio.
    - The two editors discuss the essential components of successful editing, such as maintaining a balance between storytelling and stylistic choices, and the use of scene transitions, J cuts, and sound design for enhancing narrative structure.
    - They analyse a video clip worked on by Gio that summarizes Logan Paul's recent fight with Dylan Danis and delve into editing choices that communicate the emotional journey and conflict of Logan Paul.
    - The previous editor acknowledges how well Gio has managed to adopt and improve on the style and quality of editing that was created in partnership with Logan.
    - Both emphasize the importance of the collaborative creative process between the editor and content creator, and how continuity in style adds value to the storytelling, even when the editors change.
Whether you're an aspiring editor, a seasoned filmmaker, or a UA-camr looking to enhance your video storytelling, this review offers valuable insights into advanced editing techniques and creative decision-making. This video will help you learn how to elevate your own editing and storytelling skills.
I'm Hayden Hillier-Smith. On this channel I will break down what makes good editing...pulling back the curtain on how editors make the choices to keep YOU, THE AUDIENCE, engaged. This includes showcasing the creative choices I have made. I hope you can learn something new and inspire you to edit.

I love the contrast, and sound designing, it just takes the videos to next level. and also how a riser, and hit/boom mixed. I also like the use of pulse ❤🇧🇩 . allot of editors dont understand when not to use music, and when to use.

It's so interesting to observe the dynamics of the relationship between these two individuals, connected by a shared passion. Despite a certain level of subordination, with Hayden acting more as a mentor than a "friend," the result is beautiful. It's like an initiation ritual where Hayden, feeling nostalgic, lets go of his emotions because he knows there's the right person to carry on the legacy they and Logan have built over the years. Additionally, Gio is incredibly talented, and I hope to see him thrive in the world of visual storytelling.

Lmao, love the intro & bromance. It's great to hear a little about why you stopped editing for Logan. I never knew and didn't think i would care as much simply due to not knowing much of Logan Paul. That being said, this was definitely a pleasant surprise to see both your approaches on editing his content & how opportunities for another (Gio) led us viewers to the gift of us being able to see a multitude of creative direction/perspectives (Hillier & Gio) on a single subject matter (Logan).
Cool stuff per usual Hillier ~ Thanks & Bless 🤍🙏🏼🪽

    Wonderful interview!
Just one observation: if the opening clip had Hayden's suggestion of having Logan and the audio of his opponent over the top harassing him, it wouldn't have been clear for people new to Logan that that wasn't Logan talking but rather his opponent. I'm new to Logan's content and found it a bit confusing.
Thank you for the interview. Amazing to hear the back and forth! ❤

The fact that Logan won the crowd over in the fight after the emotional and mental ringer Dillion put him through. Him winning them over was bigger than him actually winning the fight because Dillion went from a fighter to a professional troll the love he was experiencing the whole fight build up was new to him. So when he lost their support it hurt him more than anything else because now people see him as the clown he is
