I'm in Ottawa, Canada. Purchased my Prius Prime in February 2024.
I just love this car. However, a few quibbles:
    - Front display is blocked by the steering wheel, unless I lower the steering wheel so it is pressing against my thighs
    - I have Level 2 charger in my condominium parking spot, which is capable of charging at 19.2kwh, but the Prime can only charge its own battery at 3.3kwh
    - Cruise controls are located on the steering wheel, meaning I have to lower my gaze from the road ahead of me to find the buttons. Also, in bright sunlight the set speed is hard to read on the dashboard.
    - No rear windshield wiper
But aside from these, the car is perfect for my needs.
In Canada, the government imposes a carbon tax on gasoline purchases, but then sends you a "carbon tax rebate" every three months. I use so little gasoline that the last carbon tax rebate (which is based on your having filed an income tax return, not your driving history) exceeded what I had paid for the previous quarter in gasoline! In other words, not only have I been driving on cheap electricity, but I've been driving on free gasoline.

@@TheLeoFoss Leo I use a Level 2 for free at some local state parks and it does charge in half the time despite battery capacity. I am tall and can readily see dash, though do know it can be an issue.
Cruise control is a simple button push and with LTA is great though don’t trust it in tight construction areas as the car misreads lane markers and can jerk the wheel. Glad you’re enjoying the car, I like driving it.

Lower your seat and it will help. The steering wheel is designed to be under unfortunately. You just may be using it wrong it suppose to replace the old HUD (heads up display) so do not try to see your Guage through your stealing wheel. That is and old ICE design. No prius has ever been like that since the first one this is not anything new. Just new to people new to prius.
Old prius use to have everything on the center console until the prime added a HUD. This is unfortunately a nuance that was and is lost by many reviews online and is misleading.

Thank you for all your videos! I'm considering a Prius Prime, and it's nice to see you focus on specific aspects of the car (e.g. cruise control, lane keep, etc.) and how to operate them. Most reviews are just an overall glance at the vehicle; I appreciate that you deep dive into certain aspects. Thanks again!😁

You’ve only driven 17k miles in a year… seems like you don’t drive a lot. Mine’s going up pretty quickly.

I guess it’s relative, though it averages about 300 miles per week. For me I have a 56 mile daily commute and it helps to have HOV access without having to have a second passenger. Really more the quality of the commute than the miles as stop and go highway traffic makes it more difficult. What does going up a lot mean in terms of miles?
