Jamie's 10th Month [Part 2] ABA Training Progress - Autism Partnership Singapore

In Part 1 of Jamie's 10th Month Update, we taught Jamie communication programs to increase his persistence when encountering difficult tasks. Since Jamie has learned how to communicate spontaneously, he can now persist through tasks he finds challenging with a stronger desire to learn.
In Part 2 of Jamie's 10th Month Update, you can watch Jamie navigate complex programs such as Comprehension, Sustained Attending and "Before and After" Concept.
Comprehension Program - When Jamie started at AP, Comprehension Program was extremely challenging for him. Since then, he has progressed and has now mastered Comprehension concepts revolving around "Who", "What", and "Where". He has also moved on to Auditory Comprehension. While it is difficult for him without visuals, he has learned to use Rehearsing Information as a strategy to help him retain information.
Sustained Attending - As always, we have included some games to make his learning fun and interesting. Watch this video to see how we used the game "Secret Word" to work on Jamie's listening skills!
"Before and After" Concept - Since Jamie is preparing to attend school now, a critical skill for him to have is to understand the "Before and After" Concept. We introduce the concept to Jamie by starting with alphabets, numbers and things that he is familiar with, initially using arrows as a visual to help him understand and remember the concept. This will help him with his upcoming Memory Work Training.
