Nice! Thanks for making me feel confident about the PO eco fan. I got myself the same and waiting for installation 17 Dec haha. Looking forward and will be mindful of the gap! Thanks for this informative video! ❤
Hi Alex, good review as always. I have been using PO Fan for more than 2 years but I would like to point out that my fan driver went faulty after less than 2 years of usage. 2 year Warranty can’t cover as it barely just past it (I installed awhile before I moved in). Not sure if I was unlucky or they are aware to only put 2 years warranty for the driver. I went to see Google reviews and there a quite a few others who had the same issue. Had to get them to come down and replace the driver for $140, which is almost half the price of a brand new fan. Just wanna highlight above. Customer service was not helpful and even with the warranty barely past… Recommend to just go and read their Google reviews before purchasing.
Hi Jerome, We understand that a small percentage of our clients may experience driver malfunctions. However, rest assured that our drivers are manufactured to a high standard. We greatly value customer feedback and are committed to continuously improving our products and services. While our standard warranty covers two years, we strive to remain flexible and accommodating for our customers and are happy to assist even if the warranty period has slightly exceeded the 2-year mark. Additionally, we are proud to offer one of the most affordable driver replacement solutions in the market. Our priority is always to resolve concerns promptly and ensure that every client enjoys the best possible experience with our products. On a related note, we know that it’s often more challenging to receive positive reviews than negative ones, as happy customers may not always share their experiences. However, we deeply appreciate when clients take the time to leave us feedback-it motivates us to continue delivering quality and excellence. Thank you for trusting us, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if there’s anything else we can assist you with. 😊
@@PointOneTechnology Hi PO, thanks for replying to my comment. Yes, after showing all my receipts and proof that installation barely exceeded 2-year warranty, I was given additional 6 months warranty for the replacement driver. In my opinion, that’s not good enough but I didn’t want to probe further so I left it as that. Hope the new driver can last longer.
Can also take a look at smart fans that uses xiaomi controller on taobao. Especially if you use home assistant, as they can be configured to be controllers locally instead of cloud, which enables you to integrate xiaomi China products locally. Have 5 ceilings fans, laundry rack, all controlled via home assistant
@AlexTeo any plans to do a automated laundry system for your house?😁 i am keen to hear your review about steigen orliant and other tuya enabled product
Hi Alex , is Haiku worth to buy ? I wanted to purchase it for my living room but wonder if it’s really worth to replace my old one. However all my bedrooms, I’m using kdk fan tho .
Hi Alex. Thanks for reviewing the fans. May I know what communication platform is the point one and prisim communicating with smart life app? Is it through wifi or zigbee?
Hi Alex, for your po eco fan, what integration are you using for home assistant? issit tuya local? cos in the official v2 integration, the light is working but the fan is an unavailable entity haha i'm also using haiku and po eco fans in my home. great video man
Hey alex. HNY! Do you have neutral wires to connect fan to aqara smart switch? I heard fan is high powered and cannot be connected go the non neutral version 😢
@@donldnify hey happy new year! No they are all connected to non neutral switches. Actually none of the 3 installers asked about this, and by default all switches are non neutral, I don't know why people will say they suddenly need neutral for smart switches
@AlexTeo it's good to hear. Am starting my smart home journey and bought aqara H1 non neutral switches online. My wires for new house have been completed without neutral and almost faint when the sales consultant said fan and even led strip drivers must use the neutral version 😓. You been using the switches for some time and no issues? I'm hitting the subscribe button!
I was just about to purchase KDK fan and pair it with an IR blaster! Thanks for the review! One thing I am unsure is why is the Aqara Z1 Pro not able to off the indicator light if you are using an IR/RF receiver? Not possible via automation in Google Home?
Im using PO for my new home and so far so good! I have dogs at home and love being able to adjust the fan speed to make it more comfortable for them when im away. Also i can remotely switch on the fan light when it starts to get dark. One of the fan's wifi stopped working one day and PO sent someone down promptly to fix it FOC. Only issue is the fan's power is connected to a wall switch - 3 gang switch with my other lights. I've read that most smart switches are not suitable for ceiling fans so i havent changed them. Does any aqara smart switches (non-neutral) work for both ceiling fans and lights?
big ass fan definitely yes since it supports matter, for the other tuya-based products it might be the same case as home assistant where only the light controls are available, i can test it and update here again
Questions: 1. Cyclone vs haiku on the noise.. assuming haiku noise is 1/10.. how much noisier is the cyclone 2. Does smart fans still work in manual if the 'smart' electronic fails?
Great review. I’m thankful someone like yourself dedicates themselves for more in-depth research for consumers. Outstanding work
Wa the prism one the lights no go sia. Headache
heng i don't need to on that light

hard to give you a definite answer for that, goes down to how much you value its features and aesthetics

they are wifi products

Using smart switches/ WiFi camera to on/ off the fan. Provided the fan can remember the last state.
I been interested to get xiaomi smart ceiling fan but so far there's not much people review on it but the point one looks nice too.
Thanks Alex for the great video. Very timing for my purchase. Does the PO fan has last default setting? And can it be automate by home assistant ?
@@jaysenlee6631 yup it does, I did briefly shared about HA in the video

since the fan is not smart, when you use the physical remote, it does not know it's current state
Hi Alex, could you please share how do you link the Oasis light with Aqara Z1 Pro?
What I know is Aqara only support their own products.
its just an automation rule that you can set on google home, alexa or any smart home platform

probably same factory

Damn, Haiku looks damn good but it's so expensive... i wonder if there's any other alternative
the cyclone from point one is quite close
Questions:
1. Cyclone vs haiku on the noise.. assuming haiku noise is 1/10.. how much noisier is the cyclone
2. Does smart fans still work in manual if the 'smart' electronic fails?
1. if i compare both at their speed 5, then the cyclone is around 5/10
2. i'm not sure, technically i think it's just 1 circuit board
How about Exhale blade-less fan?
hmm.. is it a smart fan to begin with?

Similar appliances B and C: Oh crap

Nice sonos soundbar at the back too
it's the latest arc ultra haa, will be covering that in the next video

Those with lights, the replacements are always very expensive.
not aware of that, i thought the LED light are always an optional add on to the same base model

just use matter
