I know where I'm headed when the zombies come. Or when I get an ouchie boo-boo. p.s. How do you work the rotation on perishables? Or batteries inside the flashlights, make sure they're not corroded when you need them, the firestarters still work, etc.? Do you have like a schedule where you're checking and going through this stuff, consuming and replacing it, or do you more or less wing it cause you go out in the bush so much that you actually use a lot of the stuff regularly?
Nice, you got enough fire starting to create the biggest Burning Man festival of all time lol. Epic and thank you for the ideas, I think this was a wake up call that Apartment prepping is a vital and neccessary option. Thank you bro
DropForgedSurvival oh ok. I didn’t know it lasted that long I figured some stuff was maybe 3-5. Like I assume most peepers i go for the gear and gadgets. Bucking down for food an water in 2020
2017-2018-2019-2020 are our big years to push for food... Our goal is to stock 1 month per person in our family for each year so at the end there is 1,800 calories a day per person per day for 4 months.
You seem to be overly concerned with starting a fire during bug-in while sterno and propane would serve you much better as far as stealth and harmful fumes. I'd suggest getting alot of sterno fuel cans and a small stove to boil water for the sh1t ton of freeze dried food you have. Also with you set up consisting of bug-in freeze dried you have a water concern. Get water filters that you didn't mention. Berkey is an expensive but worth it for you particular set up. "Bug in"
I Really Like Your Video(s) Gives me More Ideas that I did not think of. This Video gave Me MORE IDEAS of Stockpiling of What I dont Already Have. Keep up the Good Work and Keep informing us for the Future. I like in a Apartment(Duplex) too in the City 20min (by Vehicle) Near the Woods.
for your baofeng radios, get a diamond brand X 300 dual band (since your baofeng radio is dual band -VHF/UHF) external radio antenna. the antenna is supposed to be installed in a pipe, so get a pipe too. also about 30 feet of RG-58 (thin) or RG-8 (better) coaxial cable to attach the antenna to your radio. get a tie wire to stabilize the pipe. the pipe/antenna could be installed in the ground or roof. of course the higher the antenna, the better. with that set up, the range of your radio can reach for miles. even from state to state depending on your location. history shows that after a major disaster, radios are the only communications working (haiti goes to mind-haiti wasn’t able to report what happened to them. the government was useless. it was a civilian with a radio who gave the news to the world). the thing is, using an external antenna i assume requires an amateur radio license. but for SHTF, keeping an external antenna unassembled but ready to use would have huge benefits. one would be contact to the “outside” world, another is “reporting”, similar to what a reporter does in TV of your situation etc, another is relaying messages let’s say your neighbor or friend wants to send a message to their loved ones that they’re ok or need help etc. i can not over stress the importance of communications. hope this helps you...
I have my firearms for SHTF, but i also have melee weopons. I have a Hanwei Praying Mantis Katana in L6 Bainite, Bugei Trading Company Peace Katana, and a Darksword Armory Ranger Sword(European Longsword). My wife has two Bugei Dragonfly Wakizashi. People might laugh but when bullets run out, that's how it'll be done. Lookin into recurve and longbows, throwing axes and knives, various shuriken, hurlbats, spears, kusarigama, etc.
So, did you get your amateur radio license? The Tech license is really easy. Yes, you can use any radio in an emergency, but better to be licensed with the radios you use.
With all this gear talk, I am surprised, you did not mention shovels or axes. Eventually you may need to add to that wood pile, or dig a hole (Trash, latrine, graves). I saw you demo that mini tactical shovel (much nice than I had expected), but a flat shovel, spade, saws and axes (large and small), are kind of important, but often overlooked. There is nothing like having the right tool for the job.
You need to put a mobile radio in your vehicle so you can extend the range also you need a better antenna than the extended flexible antenna. If you have a j Pole or a beam antenna you can extend the range quite a bit if you had a mass or something to put it up but you'll need to have coax and with the baofeng you need to have the SMA connector looking forward to what your choices are in this

If you recall my video from my "PREPPING 2018" video... we were not nearly as prepared. We are preppers and take it very seriously. Job Loss, Economic Issues, or a Natural Disaster is a very real reason to be ready to hard times.
Yes exactly Chris prepping has to be taken seriously and I hate it when you tell someone that you are prep just in case something happens people look t you your crazy but hey people think what they at the end of the day I’m prepared and their not
He isn't set up for shit! Any books? Any salt? Any canning jars and a few thousand lids? How many boots? How many extra pairs of socks? MOST people like him will fold like a cheap shirt.
I'm always curious how people cycle through these supplies of food... Lets say you have 1-5 years in food stored. And that food lasts between 1-5 years before it expires. Are you constantly eating this food and rotating it into your diet? Or are you just chucking it away whenever it expires? Furthermore, wouldn't it be better to buy incraments of 1 year of food per year so that the food stays current? Hoarding food always confuses me.
Do you inventory and/or flash card this stuff for family members to memorize or locate if you get hit in the head with a boulder or something? If you already have that kinda video please point it out-Thanks.
This was a great video, smart not showing the guns plus some people might find it “offensive” but also I’m sure that not everything was shown some things are better left a secret anyway. Thank you for the great content
I’m curious on where people’s opinion dictates what he could do ? Not every situation is gonna be either bug out bug in , And it’ll fluctuate depending in scenario
Have you calculated how many days of water you have stored for your household? My own calculation for water for my household is based on 2 gallons per person per day just for drinking and cooking and then I add one more gallon per person daily for handwashing and sponge baths. I like to have one month of clean drinking water in storage for my family (at least 93 gallons per person) just in case an event should cause the public water system in my community to stop flowing. Have you calculated how many calories total you have in food storage and how long you can feed your household on carefully measured and rationed food? My own calculations for my family are based upon 2000 calories per person per day (667 calories per meal) with the option of restricting calories to 1000 calories per person per day for any adult more than 20 lbs. above their ideal body weight until they have lost the excess weight. A year of carefully measured food for an adult who is not on restricted calories totals about 730,000 calories (2000 calories x 365 days). My expectation is that in a disaster that closes roads or requires sheltering in place but does not damage our home, we will be spending a lot of our time indoors staying safe and not being all that active and may not need a full 2000 calories a day to maintain a lean body weight. And by carefully measuring and rationing food, we can feed ourselves just enough food daily to stay adequately nourished for the longest amount of time from just our food storage. I pay attention to the number of calories per serving listed on Mt. House packages and know I will have to supplement each of those servings with cooked oatmeal or wheat or rice or beans to get the caloric amount up to 667 calories. Ditto for meals made with those food buckets that allegedly make so many days' worth of meals for a certain number of people. Do you know how many servings of each category of food you have (instant meals/entrees, whole grains, refined grain/starches, legumes, dairy and eggs, animal flesh, non-starchy vegetables, fruits, sweeteners, cooking oil....)? I keep a computer file, which I update regularly, that has the total number of servings in each food category as well as the number of meat-based and vegetarian type breakfasts, lunches and dinners I can make by including one or two servings from most of the categories. I like to have more than enough food in storage to make one year of meals for each household member. And I back-up my computer file on a thumb drive and periodically print out a paper copy of the complete file to replace the one I keep in a binder. The main thing I have learned from keeping a running tally of the number of servings of each category of food is that what looks like a lot of buckets and #10 cans of dried food on shelves does not translate into that many 667 calorie meals for a family and that it is easy to not have enough of certain ingredients to make nutritionally balanced meals. I discovered I was way short on freeze-dried and dehydrated vegetables and could use more chicken, beef, pork and seafood to go with all the white rice and plain dried pasta I already had in storage. I also discovered that the more vegetarian meals I am able to make from cooked oats or wheat grain plus cooked legumes, the further my food storage dollars will go.
I'm not telling you what to do or anything, but if I were you, my next step would be looking for a secluded property to buy. Even if it's just land, preferably with a house. I would not want my family and myself to be stuck in the city, especially in a townhouse, duplex, or apartment complex when SHTF occurs. You know all your neighbors know you have your preps there. They could try to force their way in, or they could just beg and plead nonstop til you give in and help them. I know it's cold and callous, but you can't take away from your family to help others. Sad and unfortunate but that's how it has to be. Buying a property is a huge step, but necessary for SHTF. My wife and I are looking for a secluded property to buy ourselves.
One nuclear bomb and all that was for waist get a bunker and a farm before you run out of food you will have a nice farm inside the bunker get a well I recommend atlas bunker
A bunker would help depending on radius of blast and how close you are but a basement area and proper supplies will also be effective if you know how to seal it up and what to do. You have to start with likeliest scenarios and spend the bulk of your money protecting your family for that and then start thinking of other options.
@@DropForgedSurvival always good if you have a basement. I lived in Texas years ago and was shocked we didn't have one there especially with all the tornadoes we had.

Aww you guys love one another so much. And your family is beautiful. How's that pupster doing that's not much of a pupster anymore? Remember if you need any tips just message on,the house lol
I'm watching a lot of preppers and all make the same mistake of stockpiling the same repetitive food. We had no power for 5 days, but after living of our 'stockpile' I was feeling extremely sick and lethargic. If I had to eat like that for another 5 months or month even I would have preferred death. Learn how to bottle veggies etc. You want to keep optimal health, have vitamins stocked up etc. Get off all painkillers, sleeping tablets etc while you still can because if the SHTF, you will suffer severely if you run out of the daily addictions. Not worth it.
It is good to be prepared. I like prepping concept. To me you are a prepping enthusiast. You like the idea and have bought a fair amount. Gives me ideas. Prepping can be a lot of fun.
I'll said that's important to be prepared for a fire situation (more to the Air side, without any we can only survive for 3mins). Maybe a bunch of masks

I’m much more of a minimalistic prepper. This is a lot of stuff that costs money. You could replace that entire bin of fire stuff with 2-4 strikers & some fire starting knowledge.
I would love it if you could do a bug out bag for only say single parents/people as you have a lot of stuff for your family (which is great) but not sure how I would adapt it for me.

Dude that's crazy awesome Chris.....you really know how to manage your space in your apartment man hats off to you buddy forrealz I try my best as well but most of our stuff is under beds or in closest so most won't show and few bunch stuff on the travel trailer for just in case situations or traveling....but all in all great vid man....
It is definitely a commitment to organize for sure
But you live in Texas and don't have firearms for protection? That should be your first line of defense!
Job loss! Excellent point!
It really happened to us. We had a good stock pile of supplies and buckets of food. Thank goodness because we had 4 teens in house and of course no help from any assistance. We made it through the recession until he got another job 1 1/2 later! Trying to resupply again...it's slow lol. We know how important it is!!!
Resupply is tough.... but yes Economic down turn is a big one to plan for.
We check dates once a month, then rotate every 6 months and also once a year... Keeps things fresh. overall.
@@DropForgedSurvival Nice
Nice, you got enough fire starting to create the biggest Burning Man festival of all time lol. Epic and thank you for the ideas, I think this was a wake up call that Apartment prepping is a vital and neccessary option.
Thank you bro
53 Million Americans live in Apartments. No reason not to have at Bare Minimum 7-10 days worth of supplies, food, and 1 months of funds for all bills
Love when people show their preps. Gives different perspectives. Opens discussion on the topic.
Great video man
Jared Mayo Thanks
How do you keep track of food expirations and rotations? An do you donate it when it’s close to expiration or eat through some or?
It lasts 20-30 years.... We might rotate every decade
Thanks for showing us that!! It was really inspirational!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Glad you found it useful bud!
"Bug in"
Nah.... lol I just like fire and since its CHEAP.. I get alot from some Epic Sponsors from time to time.
I respect the fact you show us what you get and brands I appreciate it
The idea you gave me on this video? The binder clips on the curtains. Smart!
Lmao 😂! Keeps it away for the Window AC
Thanks alot Richard
You’re a very genuine individual, I appreciate the fact that you took the time to show us your set up. As always great advice. Keep safe.
for your baofeng radios, get a diamond brand X 300 dual band (since your baofeng radio is dual band -VHF/UHF) external radio antenna. the antenna is supposed to be installed in a pipe, so get a pipe too. also about 30 feet of RG-58 (thin) or RG-8 (better) coaxial cable to attach the antenna to your radio. get a tie wire to stabilize the pipe. the pipe/antenna could be installed in the ground or roof. of course the higher the antenna, the better. with that set up, the range of your radio can reach for miles. even from state to state depending on your location. history shows that after a major disaster, radios are the only communications working (haiti goes to mind-haiti wasn’t able to report what happened to them. the government was useless. it was a civilian with a radio who gave the news to the world). the thing is, using an external antenna i assume requires an amateur radio license. but for SHTF, keeping an external antenna unassembled but ready to use would have huge benefits. one would be contact to the “outside” world, another is “reporting”, similar to what a reporter does in TV of your situation etc, another is relaying messages let’s say your neighbor or friend wants to send a message to their loved ones that they’re ok or need help etc. i can not over stress the importance of communications. hope this helps you...
When they run out... Martials arts training and Melee are invaluable.
So, did you get your amateur radio license? The Tech license is really easy. Yes, you can use any radio in an emergency, but better to be licensed with the radios you use.
Communication is our biggest hole.. But not just for amateur radio. Other forms we are looking into also
NICE
With all this gear talk, I am surprised, you did not mention shovels or axes. Eventually you may need to add to that wood pile, or dig a hole (Trash, latrine, graves). I saw you demo that mini tactical shovel (much nice than I had expected), but a flat shovel, spade, saws and axes (large and small), are kind of important, but often overlooked. There is nothing like having the right tool for the job.
You need to put a mobile radio in your vehicle so you can extend the range also you need a better antenna than the extended flexible antenna. If you have a j Pole or a beam antenna you can extend the range quite a bit if you had a mass or something to put it up but you'll need to have coax and with the baofeng you need to have the SMA connector looking forward to what your choices are in this
Cool gear you rock I love all your videos
Thanks alot brother!
Boy ol boy, you sure will survive the zombie apocalypse!!!💯I seriously love this video!!! I’m estimating that you spend about 13k worth of stuff there lol!?🤔Anyways great job man!!!!
Maybe... Even the best among us are only human man... a bad flu can swing in and knock out an entire community sadly....
I really love your stockpile. I am doing my best to get there. You've given me ideas and hope.
Personally I wouldn't put my full inventory of my preps on the web. I guess the chances of someone seeing this and coming for it SHTF is pretty low.
Logan Tidwell We called these comments.. but as Channels of this Topic... Showcasing a Tiny Percentage of our stockpile to help others gain ideas, etc is more than worth it for the good of the community.
I understand where you would and others are coming from.. but it is my job to talk about these topics and share what we learn and help the community when and how we can. We also didn't show hardly anything at all to be fair.
Damn, dude! I thought I was going overboard with the fire preps!! You got enough tinder stuff to burn down Manhattan!
Well that escalated... lol I did count.... Average fire lasts 5 days... I can go for my family for..... 10-15 years I think.
@@DropForgedSurvival kinda went that way with candles, lanterns, and solar lights...
John Moco No wrong way to get started. Figure out... If the power goes out for a week.... how do we solve “etc problems” and start working from there.
Wow Chris you have so much stuff it’s crazy congrats way more then I ever have keep up the good work
If you recall my video from my "PREPPING 2018" video... we were not nearly as prepared. We are preppers and take it very seriously. Job Loss, Economic Issues, or a Natural Disaster is a very real reason to be ready to hard times.
Yes exactly Chris prepping has to be taken seriously and I hate it when you tell someone that you are prep just in case something happens people look t you your crazy but hey people think what they at the end of the day I’m prepared and their not
Nice preps . Thanks for sharing.
Glad you found the episode helpful
I like how well organize u have things! No extra junk!
I like to know where everything is at all times.
Chris my dude, what a setup. You're basically set for anything.
Hopefully one day I'll be half as set as you lol
It took me well over 5 years of dedication. This is not an over night prep and done. I also have ALOT more items on my needs list for sure.
Just the simple fact that you have all this in an apartment blows my mind!
Do you inventory and/or flash card this stuff for family members to memorize or locate if you get hit in the head with a boulder or something? If you already have that kinda video please point it out-Thanks.
I'm big on knife collection. Love your knives. Very nice collection of gear. Thank you for interesting video....
Glad you found it useful.
Do you eat that food or do you periodically change it when it expires
We eat it sometimes at times, Rotate, Donate, etc
@@DropForgedSurvival it's really cool to hear that you donate it sometimes! :) That's an awesome idea for prep food!
If there is 3-6 months left in its shelf life. soup kitchens and such can use it up quick.
This was a great video, smart not showing the guns plus some people might find it “offensive” but also I’m sure that not everything was shown some things are better left a secret anyway. Thank you for the great content
Definitely left out about 90% of the gear.
DropForgedSurvival and that’s scary to think lol dope how much gear you do actually have
Trying to be politically correct is a down fall for this country, if you don't like it move on!
I’m curious on where people’s opinion dictates what he could do ? Not every situation is gonna be either bug out bug in ,
And it’ll fluctuate depending in scenario
Where can I find that roll out first aid kit thing? I need that so bad!
Who says that isn't already done or in the works? Never ever show your full hand.
@@DropForgedSurvival my man 🖒
One nuclear bomb and all that was for waist get a bunker and a farm before you run out of food you will have a nice farm inside the bunker get a well I recommend atlas bunker
You ain't wrong.. lol A Freeze Dryer, Bunker, 200 Acres, and ALOT ALOT More is on my Wish List.
A bunker would help depending on radius of blast and how close you are but a basement area and proper supplies will also be effective if you know how to seal it up and what to do. You have to start with likeliest scenarios and spend the bulk of your money protecting your family for that and then start thinking of other options.
Definitely can't complain if you own a Basement with a Strong Door and Great locks.
@@DropForgedSurvival always good if you have a basement. I lived in Texas years ago and was shocked we didn't have one there especially with all the tornadoes we had.

Canning jars will LOTS OF LIDS. Prpain cooker a few tanks of propping. Salt... lots of salt.
Extra wool socks. Extra boots. Sewing kits... come on guys THINK BIGGER.

Bolos, Eneps, and Khukuri's all do fantastic at chopping.
Nice and organized ....my man!
Trying to get better each and every day.
Can't argue with your truth
Only one box of knives? LOL I hope they are ViperSharp! They won't do much good if they are dull... ;)
Lmao Definitely not dull
It is good to be prepared. I like prepping concept. To me you are a prepping enthusiast. You like the idea and have bought a fair amount. Gives me ideas. Prepping can be a lot of fun.

I'll said that's important to be prepared for a fire situation (more to the Air side, without any we can only survive for 3mins). Maybe a bunch of masks
Did you miss the Fire Blanket, Fire Mask 😷, and 7 Fire Extinguishers in my home?

Wow I see you are really ready for the zombie apocalypse no pun! I thought I had a lot of stuff in my apartment! We rather be prepared than not prepared. Since the US government is preparing then we the people should prepare too! Excellent video!!!
Nope... no zombies.... Just simple things... Like Job Loss, natural Disasters, etc.
Dang be careful showing your identity, showing all of that, then saying it was about 10 percent of what you have! Be careful when shtf hits your going to have a difficult time survival because everyone knows you have years of supplies 😬. I would move to rual areas fast!
Baker 5150 Im not a fear monger. It doesn’t bother me at all. Its all for education, learning, growing, and for the community as a whole. Don’t live in fear
You should have 2 bugout locations one being underground so you can go just in case your other bug out location doesn't work.
I'd love 3 underground bunkers, 50+ geo caches, and 2 boats but I can only work on what I can control and afford.

I’m much more of a minimalistic prepper. This is a lot of stuff that costs money. You could replace that entire bin of fire stuff with 2-4 strikers & some fire starting knowledge.
This is perfect love the videos leaned so much 😂
I would love it if you could do a bug out bag for only say single parents/people as you have a lot of stuff for your family (which is great) but not sure how I would adapt it for me.
