Hi Dr. Lori! Thank you again for another educational video. It warms my heart when you engage with the folks attending the live event(s). I so appreciate you.
I have memories from when I was 2 years old❤ I don’t remember what happened before or after whatever memories I do have, but the memories circle around every now and again even after 26 years
I've got more vids! Save and use the Binge link ua-cam.com/play/PL384695BCA1841B8F.html It plays my most recent videos first including the ones when I’m on other channels.
Fascinating! I picked out the most expensive one in the beginning! So the higher quality Wedgewood plate is cheaper than the 20th century German plate. I love stuff like this! You are pretty awesome, Dr. Lori. Thank you.
Great video. I can remember when I was 5 because I had open heart surgery that year. I remember waking up in recovery and being unable to talk because of tubes. And I cried because I could see my mom but couldn't talk to her. My dad passed away almost 3 years ago and my mom passed away last September so I have a lot of 'stuff' for you to look at. I grabbed all that I could before my brother took over to give keys to estate sale company. My parents never had anything appraised because they didn't trust anyone to be honest with them. Like you said a lot of people want to buy the things and low ball you. So I grabbed what I could without making my brother totally freak out. Hopefully I'll be able to get my act together and get photos to you. Love your videos. Thank you. I'm learning a lot. And we do eat Thanksgiving (and Easter and Christmas) on paper plates. It is easier. I convinced my mom to start doing it a few years ago and we still do it! Take care of yourself!
I'm sorry to hear about your parents. It's not easy. Thanks for sharing your story. Unfortunately, your story concerning your brother is all too common in families. I see it all the time. Thanks for watching and as you know I can help you sort through the stuff when you are ready!
I have very clear memories from age 5 because we moved that year and other years -not so much, yesterday - not so much. Also other years that significant things took place are clear as day. Anyway love your videos. 😘 thank you
Love you, Dr. Lori! Have learned so much from watching your videos. And love your style. With your sense of humor and friendly personality, you are like a family member that we wish we had.. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge of antiques.
Lol! I agree about the paper plate thing Dr. Lori! I love the old beautiful pieces. But, they are a pain to take care of. And, I’m always afraid of breaking them. Thanks again for the laughs that we all so desperately need.
Oh, man. What a welcome sight this video notification was! Nothing better to lift spirits than to laugh while learning something interesting. Thanks Dr. Lori! Great, as usual.

I learn more and more everytime I watch your videos. Thank you for spreading your knowledge! I have a question.... I have a ton like a TON of items from many different estates. Plates have been an item included in every estate lot I've received. I've noticed a lot of plates have markings from well known makers. The painting and or designs on plates seem to be something done after the plate was made and sold. Maybe in a studio or home or maybe an art class. How does someone go about valuing something like that. I have a fare amount of pieces like this. Some are very beautiful....
I can help! I do this all day, everyday. I look at photos, I visit homes, and you could even show me during a FaceTime or Skype call. At the time of this post, I'm offering a discount on video calls for a limited time. All details on my website if you are interested :)
I am amazed!!! To me, Dr. Lori is brilliant!!! I don't even know why she popped up on my UA-cam as something I would be interested in??? Wow! My husband's mother lived with us the last few years of her life and I have boxes and boxes in my garage and do not know what to do to find out about them. I went to an antique store downtown here in Kansas City, and she said everything is done online, and that no one appraises anything anymore. Is that true? I have boxes and boxes of Wedgewood...tea cups that I know she inherited from her aunt about 60 years ago. Can you just point me in the right direction, or do people send you pictures? I am going to back up and watch all of your videos and see what I can learn. I also love your humor! So glad I found your channel.
Welcome! Mmmmmn .... wonder why someone wouldn't want you to know what you really have when it comes to value? Yes, I can look at photos. You can even show me pieces during a video call like Skype, FaceTime, Zoom etc. All the details are on my website if you are interested. Thanks for watching, happy you enjoy the vids :)
@@DrLoriV Yep, we have an Antique Mall in Downtown Kansas City, MO. The lady in one of the store gave me a card with a couple of email addresses on it. I am so glad I found you...have tuned in to a couple of others, but they don't have your humor, and they don't wear gloves. They are not interesting at all...going downstairs at some point today to spend a few hours...going to get things organized. My acid free paper will be delivered in a couple of days. Love your channel Dr Lori. I have been taking care of my 92 year old mother for the last 6 months and to kill some time I have looked at values of China and things on replacements unlimited website. How do you think their prices(retail) compare to yours
First, value your time with your mother! I'm sure some days are difficult, but cherish the time you have now. My values are based on where I have seen similar pieces actually sell for that much. Thanks for watching.

I think I'm going to add more pieces to my set, but I plan to use the set, I just don't see the point in not using beautiful things in everyday life
LOL I have always called small dogs "yip yip dogs". OK so my question to you Dr.Lori is, Do you see it worth an investment opportunity to keep inherited Royal Haeger Pottery and Homer Laughlin Nautilus Eggshell China from 1942? Hi Dr. Lori, my name is Patty Parfitt. I just went in my attic and found my China said that my mother-in-law gave me when I got married 30 years ago. It came from China and it’s absolutely beautiful. I would love to send you pictures of it so you could take a look it’s from Germany and it has a number on it. It’s a number seven and it’s gold trimmed with beautiful flowers. Let me know how I can send you the photos. Thank you and have a wonderful day.😊
Dr. Lori , a gentleman in my apt. Complex asked me to help sell his red glass and I can't find it online. I'd like to help him . I have a pic of marking on bottom. I would greatly appreciate some assistance.
I help people identify and value their pieces all the time so they can sell for top dollar. I look at photos submitted on my website, see pieces during video calls, and at my events. All details are available on my website.
Lori I remember many things when I was five, I lost my sister, my mom ran over my cat, I remember walking home from Kindergarten crying because President Kennedy was shot, I was told from my teacher, my parents were home but they did not know aboutPresident Kennedy , they turned on our new black and white TV. I have many more memories from that time and some earlier. They are very vivid they are not made up and they were not told me
Hello Dr. Lori My grandparents gave me a plate its called Vintage 12" Classicstone Fargo 8105" its been with us for 40 years. May I know what is the price so I could sell it for my moms treatment
Just saw a video that says you accept videos and pics? I bet you are very busy...and assuming there is a charge...is there a way to get more info. All of this is doing nothing sitting in my garage. I have been going thru and rewrapping and sorting...there is just so much.

Dr. Lori Thank you for the reply. I’ll check out your website but would ❤️ to see a video about rugs, ie “oriental” vs “Persian” vs turkish; scams v. the real deal.
@@brendaforevergreen7436 Thanks for the suggestion. Most of my videos of late have been determined by what people bring to my shows. I have a video here and there with a rug. We are trying to get ahead to shoot more vids on specific topic requests too!
Dr Lori first I’m sorry about the loss of your mother and secondly I don’t believe you cannot remember when you was 5 I’ve watched all your videos you know The Who what where and when about every piece they bring in I’m thinking you have a photographic memory lol
I understand it is worth a lot of money, but is the younger generation into buying it or collecting it? Just because it is worth a lot doesn't mean it would sell.
You've got to look beyond where you live. My values are based on what people are really paying. I see the real sales records to support my values. Thanks for the post!
Dr. Lori your area is fortunate to have people buying & paying top dollar. My cousin had a difficult time selling a vintage excellent brand China set in a wealthy area. Even on EBay it’s difficult to sell a China set for a reasonable price. Many people don’t want dishes that can’t be washed in the dish washer or used in the microwave.
@@memecat4878 I travel the country so I don't base my values only on one area and you shouldn't either. Selling at just one place like eBay is not always the answer. I see stories of people buying stuff at low prices on eBay and within days they turnaround and sell it back on eBay for the true value. You've got to keep trying! For example, someone bought a plate for $1.00, got my appraisal and resold it for $1025! It can be done!!
I adore your delivery. You are no-nonsense delivery is coupled beautifully with a caring heart. Thank you for posting!

They are very vivid they are not made up and they were not told me
I'm sorry about your sister. Thanks for sharing.
Gold rim?
Hello Dr. Lori My grandparents gave me a plate its called Vintage 12" Classicstone Fargo 8105" its been with us for 40 years. May I know what is the price so I could sell it for my moms treatment
I can help, just need to see the plate to verify what you really have :)
@@DrLoriV how can I send the picture to you?
@@izyaboisataniel Use the online appraisal form on my website. I look at photos submitted from that form.
Ya I hope you are well. Stay safe you!
Thanks, so far, so good! Keep your distance and stay safe yourself :)
Just saw a video that says you accept videos and pics? I bet you are very busy...and assuming there is a charge...is there a way to get more info. All of this is doing nothing sitting in my garage. I have been going thru and rewrapping and sorting...there is just so much.
Yes, I look at photos and you can show me items during a FaceTime, Skype, Zoom, etc. call. I'm running a special rate on video calls now through April 11. All the details are on my website. My staff can help you there too with specifics :)
Dr. Lori, do you ever appraise rugs?
Yes I appraise rugs! Not many come to my events but I believe there are a few so far. I have articles on my website about rugs.
Dr. Lori Thank you for the reply. I’ll check out your website but would ❤️ to see a video about rugs, ie “oriental” vs “Persian” vs turkish; scams v. the real deal.
Dr. Lori I’ve purchased four vintage / “semi-antique” rugs on ebay via auction. 2 beautiful, 2 mehs.
@@brendaforevergreen7436 Thanks for the suggestion. Most of my videos of late have been determined by what people bring to my shows. I have a video here and there with a rug. We are trying to get ahead to shoot more vids on specific topic requests too!
@@brendaforevergreen7436 I can look at photos to identify them for you. You could also show them to me during a FaceTime or Skype call.
Dr Lori first I’m sorry about the loss of your mother and secondly I don’t believe you cannot remember when you was 5 I’ve watched all your videos you know The Who what where and when about every piece they bring in I’m thinking you have a photographic memory lol
Thank you!
It's funny how the mind works I guess :)
What’s the difference between dishes and plates?
Ahhh Elhadjii, you didn't watch the entire video! Keep watching for the answer to your question :)
Dr. Lori 😂😂😂. Yes Dr Lori. I’m being lazy right. I’ve been watching a ton of documentaries today. That’s my excuse.
@@elhadjiamadoujohnson4166 C'mon Elhadjii, you've been watching me for a long time now. Would I not try to explain something? :) Stay safe!
Dr. Lori I know you would. I just jumped the gun. I’ll watched it in its entirety. Stay safe, you and your family.
@@elhadjiamadoujohnson4166 Thanks! I think your answer is around the 10 minute or so mark :)
Ciao Dr Lori
I understand it is worth a lot of money, but is the younger generation into buying it or collecting it? Just because it is worth a lot doesn't mean it would sell.
My values are based on what people really pay. Actual sales. Believe what you want.
Hello
Answer please
Don't sell the plate! 😊
Good luck getting any of those $. Can barely give away China sets. No one wants them , where I live.
This female is too loud and aggresive for me. Won't watch. Ugh!
