this is exactly what we've been asking for regarding highlights for WEC races and especially Le Mans. Good length video, with commentary and uploaded quickly. Much better than it used to be. Thankyou :)
Agreed please continue the great work
Would be happy if it was a bit longer, maybe 20 minutes but good summary nonetheless
Could be longer, IndyCar do free 30 minute race highlights and it’s amazing, surely with 22 more hours of racing you could easily match that
30min would be great
The commentary was inaccurate though. If memory serves, at the time of the 92 Porsche incident, one of the corvettes was at the back of the field and the other was in 2nd as it had its own issues. Also, the Toyota REALLY lost time because they went into the pits, not just because of an on track stop. there was also a TON of other highlights like Fassbender's incident, the flurry of incidents during the morning, etc.
I was at Le Mans this weekend and the corvette was the loudest car, the sound of this car is phenomenal. Congratulations to all the drivers, especially Toyota and Jota Sport
yeah the corvette were so outstanding ! loved them, really a shame how the race ended for them
the C7-C6 is even louder
@@GoatedAtNFS Yeah the raw V8 Corvetted were the best. Couldnt sleep at the campsite.
@@GoatedAtNFS one of the best sounding cars ever to go to le mans… C6 was epic
@@LucaTgaard Yeah the C6 generation of corvettes deserve a Corvette VS (Ferrari, Porsche...) Movie. It was a true monster. Since GT-R is Godzilla, Corvette is King Kong, add the on road tuning of Vettes, it truly serves that title.
On a separate note I don't like that GM is putting Cadillac as a hyper car, why not a hyper Vette. For fun call it the Frigate.
Respect to the gentleman driver for apologizing to Corvette Racing. Utter heartbreak, but that is Le Mans.
That crash on the last yellow Vette was extremely heart breaking!
Totally!! We had hopes of a podium out there
It looks so intentional too, I feel like no driver on that kind of level should be making that kind of mistake.
@@thatoneguy5662 "that kind of level" the driver is literally a bronze.. an amateur. It's definitely unintentional. The LMP2 driver, François Perrodo is also one of the nicest guy on the grid. He immeadiately apologized to them after that crash
@@jeps1332 He overreacted
That Ferrari “female dog” clapping was absolutely disgusting
Brendon Hartley, Sebastien Buemi and Ryo Hirakawa were the drivers of the winning team. I know it is an endurance race and the cars are the stars but the drivers deserve some credit.
Agreed. Thought it was strange they didn't get a more prominent mention.
Buemi bummed out in F1, glad to see him earn his dues elsewhere in motorsport.
@@BGRUBBIN i think he has a better career now than he could have had in f1
pretty sure the cars aren't winning squat if someone isn't driving them.
wow glad to see Brendon Hartley is rebounding after falling out of F1
Heart broken about United and Corvette. I was rooting for both of them. 😭
But as they say, Le Mans chooses the winners... still both of them were so strong. I hope they come back next year stronger. Goodluck Corvette and United.
I was also there! My god the downshifts before the Dunlop curve were amazing! I was recording them at 111 decibels…
you mean LMP2 drivers choose winners
Man this year was awesome but, next year is going to be even better! Ready for Porsche and Audi to return in the top class.
Audi kinda retired their le mans comeback plans... But BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Cadillac are coming to compensate
Audi is dead
toyota is still gonna win while glikenhaus will finish last because of the new manufactures
@@pontozannata8847 As far as I'm aware, BMW have only committed to running in IMSA.
@@pontozannata8847 How about Aston Martin? Retired their LM hypercar too?
Just want to echo other people. This highlights video is immensely better then previous years. Many of us described what was needed & you did exactly that. Thank you :)
2023 Le Mans is going to be EPIC af !
That gentleman driver is the definition of sportsmanship.
So much love for the fans mentioned by the commentators and announcers this year after a few without them.
Some groups love to do it as a yearly trip like my dad and his old work friends who have done it since the late 80s and I also joined them this year with lots of "man, we've missed this" vibes.
Hat's off to Francois Perrodo for excellent sportsmanship and integrity.
That's all well and good but that sportsmanship didn't fix that Corvette after he handed his teammates the lead in GTE Pro,
@@josephpenn1115 Good point, I hadn't thought of that.
So excited to see competent Hypercar entries besides Toyota next year
the others aren't rly incompetent. they're less developed and the lack of hybrid power seems to rly be a major factor in this. but as you said this will surely change next year.
Some of them Will not racing at le mans and other not racing at daytona too
Thank you. Great sportsmanship shaking hands like that on both sides. Great to see.
That’s an amazing highlights video
Finally race got very well covered with all classes receiving love, thank you WEC
this is so much better than normal. keep this up for future races, practice, and qualifying.
Brilliant highlights 👏 great job WEC
What a beautiful event!!. I wish the Corvettes a 1,2,3 next year. Your cars are stunning and you deserved victory this year. Thanks for the great highlights and report.
Although a fast machines fan, I'm not a big race fan. But I can easily say that THIS race tops them all as my favorite in the car/pavement category. Same goes for the TT on motorcycle/pavement. The cars for this event have always been the most beautiful of all race cars to me.
Great highlights, hope we can see more of this for more races
Poor Vette...😢😥
i''m currently playing the world smallest violin lol
Sad....
Fantastic video, I would love these for every race!! even the other endurance raceses
*I sincerely hope that the next season will be awesome, we got more cars on the grid, hope they will display a hell of a show*
I loved the video but you should also do extended highlights or a race in 30 since is a 24 hour race the so much more to watch but great improvement ❤️ much love from 🇵🇷
Love Le Mans but Toyota beating Toyota is starting to become a bit repetitive.
Can't wait for some competition from the Big Boys.
I am really looking forward to the next couple of years at Le Mans. In just two years we're going to go from just 3 manufacturers in the highest prototype category all the way to 8. So excited!!!
Great video! Thx!
It’s good that the lmp2 driver apologized to corvette racing, while the race was going everyone was screaming to dq the 83 car after the wreck
Good length highlights, thanks/merci! Is that the end of the GTE class?
I didn't even watch this Lemans and I never miss a leman, I knew it would be boring, I can't wait for 2023 though!!!
Imsa loads up every race. I was able to watch the complete 24 hours of Daytona in several parts. Cant find anything about Le Mans, except those short highlights. Imsa all the way!!
Awesome post! Thanks
Awesome Summary👍👌
Nice Race😊
The fact that this isn't 24 minutes long is a missed opportunity.
Can't wait for the WEC season next year!!
Brilliant!...just got back, it was amazing.......
Cheers from the Pacific West Coast of Canada.
Wow a highlights video longer than 3 minutes!
This is the happiest day of my life
Fantastic highlight video, hope this is the same next year :)
This race was good but hopefully it will be better next year with the returning teams and the 100th running of the event should be fantastic. I for 1 cannot wait tickets booked to go let the count down begin.
Boa noite !!!!!!
Sem dúvidas, a corrida mais fantástica do Mundo.
Um dia ainda sonho de conhecer pessoalmente.
Obrigado pelo vídeo e parabéns pelo canal.
Abraço do Brasil......
Great condensation & commentation of the Father of All World Endurance Racing >>> The WEC Le Mans 24Hour Race of 2022 🇫🇷 >>> Merci / Thank You So Much & Many Happy Good Blessings in Return! 🌷🌿🌍💖🕊🇫🇷
what happened to LMP2 #65 ?? around 6am i can’t find footage
Congratulations Toyota for your Firth victory, the race as always emotional. See you the next year 💫💫🏁🏁🔝🔝
I was there, been going since 2008, I'm back home and worn out.
just give me a year to recover and I'll be ready for next years.
I was there with my friend at stands nr 21 right across start finish, every gear change and backfire sounded like a gunshot...best noise I ever heared
Great summary!
Nice to see the winning drivers still maintaining the tradition of spraying Champaign, as it was started back in the 1967 race with Dan Gurney in the winning Ford GT40 Mk IV; along with iron-man co-driver AJ Foyt, as he had to do back-to-back driving stints, over four hours worth, of driving at night; with a stick shift no less; as Gurney had overslept.
Great highlights
Very nice summary of the race this year. Appreciate this content. Please go on with it!
🏁🏎
I couldn't find a single broadcast with commentary, looked like a fantastic race from what I saw.
Yea me too🙁
Only thing I could find were 2 onboard streams for the Toyota cars. Had to just listen in on the radio they had on the 24 hour site and hope for the English guy to come on every now and then.
thank you
i am just getting into GT racing and WEC and literally is it just me or is it crazy that they race for 24 hours straight
What were they hearing inside of their cars?some music or just race sound and team comms.
Is there going to be a full race recap??
Poor Chevrolet team😢
Bro u can't be serious. How about the 92 Porsche?? THEY WIPED THE FLOOR WITH THE PIECE OF JUNK VETTES. Let's go Porsche!
@@theparkster1542 Corvette whooped Porsche buddy
@@thediamondlord8528 .....did you not watch the race? XD
Porsche absolutely crushed Vette in the 92 until the brakes had a fault.
@@theparkster1542 did you not watch it?
GJ ! !1! ! TY
Next year is gonna be fire
Great video.
What a cool race !
The whole race should be on YT live and saved for posterity.
Gutted for Porsche #92
They are a cool trio
Excellent
When are you gonna post the full race?
Awesome racing from American 🇺🇸 John Robert Bruffett Junior 🌧️🌧️🇺🇸🌧️🇺🇸🇺🇸😎
Amazing race
ADRENALINA PURA 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
i still am just in pain from that Corvette crash with #64. I know a few people involved with GM racing, and the corvette team and they were all just lost for words
The C8 Corvette being denied their win was a heartbreaker! But glad to see Hartley get another win at Le Mans with Toyota GR.
I enjoyed these highlights, but you missed to mention that legends were born in the GT Am class; Iron dames prestigiously battled their way up 17 placed (in class).
Greates race in the world!!!
Can someone tell me why the 93 lost a bunch of extra laps early? Was it mechanical failure because it wasn't rebuilt properly after Michaels practice crash? Or something else?
Those fully gear up commandos at the begining are there for... what? I thought it was a racing event - or are you planning to install some turrets on the cars next edition?
"Toyota v. their own inability to make a reliable car" is getting boring after its 5th straight year in a row...
Have you seen the 2000s Audi?... stop hating,..
@@milesr4609 or 80s Porsche?
@@chuala428 Porsche with the 962/956 had so much competition in the 80s. It wasn't even the fastest prototype, but it was perfect, and strong on all variables......That's why it dominated, and dominated for so long in Europe, IMSA..... And was eventually banned but then privateers would find a loop hole and it would win Le Mans again.....The 917k is widely regarded as the greatest prototype of all time, but the 962 is often regarded as the most perfect prototype racer. The same happened to Audi where it killed its competition........
@@MiguelGarcia-vj7oo if Toyota wins next year against all those teams then they will be on the same level as the Porsche 80s I guess
@@MiguelGarcia-vj7oo only in the last years of the 80s had all that competition with the arrival of Jaguar, and then the Japanese and Sauber and Kouros Mercedes (87 onwards).
Lancia, Aston and Ford in the esrly 80s were allmost amateur compared Porsche. And if in not mistaken in 85 or 86 24hs of Le mans there were 8 Porsches in the top ten, 8!. 956 and 962 were allmost like the Oreca 07 of the 80s...
Why do they have different classes in la mans?
I've been out of the loop with endurance racing for decades, where I noticed the cars are now left-hand driver position. It used to be the driver's position on the right so it meant a shorter distance between driver and the pit wall; saved seconds for the driver changes; along with making it safer for the driver exchange with not being exposed to other passing vehicles along pit lane.
Interesting take on this. How far back have you been watching endurance racing?
I guess the distance between the driver and pitwall doesn't matter that much these days as the time taken for drivers to switch themselves is often shorter than a full pitstop including tires and fuel.
GTE cars must be based on road legal varients. Aston Martin is right hand drive, whereas most other GTE cars are left hand drive.
@@erdbeerenrex my interest goes back to 1964, as that's when Ford made its serious effort in that racing endeavor and it faded upon the demise of the Porsche 917 in the early 1970s.
Even looking at the pictures of the Porsche 956/962 that dominated the 1980s, those cars had a right-hand driver's seat.
Most circuits are clockwise, including le sarthe, and a rhd car gives better visibility for the right hand side in order to more accurately place the car at the apex. That's the theory anyway. I always think being on the left would mean you can have less fatigue from lateral g-force, as your corners are a slightly bigger radius. Best position has to surely be neutral, right in the middle, laterally and longitudinally.
@@Tom_Hadler While I was out on an exercise walk, it struck me as one plausible reason the older race cars were right-hand drive: _Weight bias._
Back when suspensions were primitive, by current standards, putting the weight of the vehicle where it would be on the inside of a turn helped reduce the lateral g-force of the vehicle wanting to move left.
In the US, with the left-hand turns circuits, especially at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the race car chassis would be biased towards the left. The 1965 Lotus 38 Indy car is an exaggerated example of a race chassis with a left bias, as the suspension pieces were of unequal lengths.
Less than 10 mins of highlights sums up the race....and no image of the Proto which span/crashed at Indianapolis in front of me !
Respect to the LMP2 driver for apologising after he crashed into the last corvette
The driver the apologized to team USA is a true champion. Not many today own their mistakes. Class act by this man!!
where is the full race in FR ?
Feel heavy for ken miles when I watch every le mans.
To be honest...respect for the guy doing this: 6:27
Even goes back to give a hand!
2023 is going to be mental.
Is it only me or Alpine looks more like a LMP2 car than a Hypercar.
Yeah, i think is a Gibson(LMP2 car) tuned up, someone correct me if i'm wrong
It's a rebadged Rebellion R13, it was a LMP1 car. It was made by Oreca
and the LMP2 car is also an Oreca, the Oreca 07.
@@blazi2293 Was this just an attempt to cross ower to new regulations for 2023 or a cheap attempt to win the championship or something else.
@@dominikjakovac1408 they wanted to keep competing meanwhile they prepare it's own Hypercar, then the ACO/FIA allowed them to race with a grandfathered LMP1.
@@milesr4609 ohh ok tnx for the answer❤️
24 hours of racing, 10 minutes of highlights, hardly 1 minute of battles and overtake shown.
This is impressive in how boring you can make your race look.
There is so much to talk about it would be hard to show all the overtakes and battles
But it's true that the choice of images could be better
Better than the 2 minutes wec gives us lol
i wonder if anyone has ever watched the entire race without a break
Can't wait for the 2023 sportscar season and the 100th race of the 24 Hours of LeMans.
Corvette Racing ❤
Thoroughly enjoyed my five days at the Sarthe, the racing was obviously predictable at the front, but great in the other three classes.
Felt sorry for Vette, the cars were a tad quicker than the works 911s ,but at LM so much is outside your control, the circuit chooses the winners, back for eight days next year.
Living the life 👍
ル・マンで5年連続『君が代』が流れている事はが驚くべきことです。
NGL from a consumer standpoint Toyota winning makes the GR86 so much more cooler idk why
Next yr should be interesting, with the heavily modified cup car .
Congrats to Hartley for the Great Performance
Thanks for not adding awful music like the WRC channel.
Good djoob wec but you have forgot the final lap
GOOD JOB APR 61 on grid to no. 1 in LMP2 pro/am
Surprised this video wasn’t 3 minutes long
There were fans at the 2021 race too - I was among umm.
What a snoozefest. FIA did this
Did you actually WATCH the race??!! Or is it someone who won didn't validate you?
No live streams this year.
