UNLIKE formula redbull Toyota ARE beatable in WEC as shown by Ferrari beating them on pace in short bursts BUT Toyota are more of a professional team and make less mistakes which is the entire point of endurance racing, also they have the best platinum drivers on the market (Toyota GR #7 driver Kamui Kobayoshi matched sergio perez when they was team mates in F1 and look at perez current form for red bull...) and not fill hypercar seats with washed up GTE drivers liker other teams.
A really good race where all Hypercar Manufacturers were competitive. The only issue is self-made errors or mechanical problems took out several cars from the win. All of them are there, they just need to get slightly more development. It appears the lower downforce is what they were all focusing on from the start. Also Female Victory in GTE. Lilou was eventually getting it with her pace and so to Alessio and LPC, and in race 3 she did.

Give it to Monza and they can win.
😂😂😂 This honestly made me laugh and feel sad for F! at the same time. In F1, the distance between first and second would be 5 laps or more thanks to DRS and a dominant red bull (that is still very competitive according to the FIA). Smh, F1 🙄
I came over from Australia to see the race, can honestly say one of the best events I have been to. Amazing access to paddock and pits. Makes F1 look very expensive and silly. Spa easily one of the best spectator tracks too and oh the cars sound way better than F1..
@@Ariespradana13 Nah, endurance racing is the best way to spend your money on a motor race. Daytona for example is only $100 for 24 hours of racing. You get access to all the garages and pits, the entire infiels and stands. Its the most filled experience out of any motor race.
@@Ariespradana13 it literally cost 30€ for students to see the whole weekend and you could still get tickets even a week before the race. Formula 1 is a whole other world, the cheapest tickets for ONE DAY probably cost more than going to every race in WEC except Le Mans Plus the tickets for formula 1 are sold out extremely quick once they are available
After following this championship for years, it’s an absolutely amazing feeling watching all these Hypercars compete. what an excellent race, the WEC is the future

Now I know who won lol I know ferrari crashed out and Cadillac too. So I was hoping porsche would take advantage. Toyota been winning consistently. If this keeps up, ferrari will never catch up.

Survive the pain first, enjoy the reward later. Shame on what happened with the #6 Porsche & #2 Cadillac, they were pretty much on the same kind of strategy but alas bad luck happened.
This was an amazing race at this beautiful venue. And the place was packed compared to last year! very good to see fans out in numbers. Great atmosphere. I love the accessibility of WEC. I hope all the teams will stay for years to come. The new hypercars are an absolute treat to hear and see. All of them impressive in their own way. Pure, top tier racing!

Well sorry to ruin the party. I was at the track and the stands were very full and there were fans everywhere around the track. It was very busy and everywhere I walked were rows of people. Attendance was around 72.000 people
Just realize that I had been following WEC more diligently and always looking fwd to the next race, really enjoying it more than F1, this is proper racing, no additional side show (on individual driver) like F1...
WEC is great because for me it’s motorsport in its purest form, multi-class racing where race pace and strategy are equally important. F1 has simply become a display of what’s possible engineering wise with no regard for actual racing.

@@lorenzob4568 agree, to have that "good and chaotic" you need parity between the teams, if you have Red bull on one side and Williams on another, no matter how short the "sprint" is, the aftermath will be allways the same. Less laps doesnt equal more parity, ergo, more fun.

Kobayoshi is one of the most under rated drivers ever in F1, he made his F1 debut for Toyota near the end of the 2009 season when they announced they would pull out of F1 and because he doesn't have rich backers(sergio perez is backed in F1 by Mexicos richest man carlos slim..) he couldn't secure a long term seat. F1 loss is Toyota GR's gain! Hope Kamui wins in Lemans
Nah, he won't. WEC (or just Endurance Racing in general) is actually entering a new "golden age" with a lot of manufacturers coming in to fight. It's arguably a far more competitive field to go racing. Plus Kobayashi is doing double duty as TGR-WEC's Team Principal as well apart from his driving duty.

Amazing performance from Toyota at their second home race after Fuji as the race team is Based in Cologne Germany which is only 120kms east of the circuit. Also Ferraris pace proves that Toyota does not need anymore BOP handicapping and Toyota don't deserve to be nerfed when they just do a better job not binning the car during the race, more organised team, correct strategy calls, better drivers etc
They have so much experience from LMP1, they really deserve their wins, congrats Toyota, I CANNOT WAIT for Le Mans centurary edition, it's gonna be insane !
