    The women cosplaying as nuns are called the sisters of sin. Since this was first released in 1969 (no actually not but Tobias made us all believe that) the original singer was Papa Nihil. That's why he says my papa used to sing this since Papa Nihil is his father and Sister Imperator is his mother.

    Saw them in Sydney last month. Probably the great gig experience I’ve ever had. Huge guitar tone. Driving base. Such great vocals and harmonies. Truly amazing gig. The Nameless Ghouls in this guise are the best.

    Just got to see them live- as expected they were amazing. My favorite nameless ghoul mask is definitely this one- it straddles this strange like between ominous and adorable, with sandpeople kinda vibes. At this point, the band is rocking 3 guitarists (two leads and a bassist), 3 ghoulettes on keyboards and backup vocals, the swiss army ghoul who plays additional guitar and vocals as necessary, and of course the drummer. Serious ensemble at this point.
    They all have nicknames, but opening that can of worms always starts a fight between the "fun" fans and the "take the lore too seriously" fans.

    An excellent show is an understatement! I have seen Ghost twice. Once with Cardi C. and once with Papa IV each one was amazing! My whole family has been to both shows. My husband and I are middle age and our son was 7 at his first Ghost show. I is a wide range of fans.

    I've seen Ghost twice, both in Milan. The first time was in 2019 and they were opening for Metallica, the second one was this summer and i gotta say they were always great, but they improved a lot in those 4 years. The backup vocals truly add something special to the songs

    I saw them for the first time in 2013 in a club in New York City with about 1500 people. It's been interesting seeing them grow, and every time I see them live, it's in a bigger venue. it's to the point where you have to see them in an arena now which takes away from the intimacy. but back in 2013, the singer, who are a different mask and played a different character, did not really interact with the crowd at all and was not humorous. He was more menacing and just stood there in full robe and pope hat. But it's always been an incredible show. I've seen then 4 times altogether.

    I’ve seen Ghost six times, the first of which was as an opener for Mastodon and Opeth in 2012. My first thought was “insanely loud hard rock and wtf they’re all wearing black robes with hoods”. Papa II was the singer and he wasn’t as animated back then. Kind of just stood there and waved his hands. Since then, their music got more and more melodic. Then the metal gatekeepers said, Hol’ up.
    To be fair, Tobias himself said that Ghost isn’t metal. So they’re twisting their panties for nothing.
    Anywho I really love your reactions and you’re the only one I’ve seen that gives an entire second-listen before really reflecting on the song. Looking forward to more Ghost!

    Nameless Ghoul SPOILERS, do not read if you don't want to know their names: So, the background singers on this song were "Swiss Ghoul" (named that because he's versatile) whose stage name is Jutty Taylor, and Cumulus Ghoul whose stage name is Mad Gallica. Also heard is Aether, the black guitarist, who at the time of this video was performed by Chris Catalyst who is no longer in the band.

    • @KendraShadow
      @KendraShadow Рік тому +1

      More Nameless Ghoul SPOILERS, the other background singer is Sunshine Ghoul, the one who was doing the finger motion, I believe, and she's performed by Sophie Amelkin. She often performs in musicals, which is one of the reasons why she hadn't joined the latest tour.

    • @jsavage71
      @jsavage71 Рік тому +1

      @@KendraShadow I didn't mention her since she is not one of the voices we hear very clearly on this recording. Jutty, Mad, and Chris are all up in the mix. And I doubt Sophie is coming back to Ghost. I think she's done. I don't know if the one they call Aurora, her replacement, is staying either, but I also haven't seen anything so far to suggest she's leaving.

As a live concert experience, Ghost cannot be beat. Whatever persona Tobias takes, he holds the entire audience in his hands. It is truly captivating.

    • @MusicCatsandCoffee
      @MusicCatsandCoffee  Рік тому +5

      Defensive? Hmmm.
      In all seriousness, there’s nothing for me to learn here. I know I talk too much. I’m pretty sure I even said that in this video. 😆 So are you hoping I would read this and change how I make videos?
      If there’s something I don’t like on UA-cam, I just stop watching it. I can’t imagine telling someone they talk too much in their own video-and certainly not in all caps-especially knowing I can watch something else instead.
      So I’m genuinely curious why you would tell me this, if you wouldn’t mind. That’s the kind of feedback I can learn from. ☺️

    • @Dingbotz
      @Dingbotz Рік тому +1

      @@MusicCatsandCoffee Of course there's something to learn - both on the point I was making and how you handle criticism. You acknowledge you talk too much and my comment reinforced that, proving your hypothesis.
      I don't "hope" for any outcome - I just gave my feedback. If you were wise and/or humble enough then you will accept it and amend your approach, if you're not then you won't.
      Whilst you may just stop watching something you don't like rather than provide criticism, I prefer to leave feedback as and when the moment takes me. Just giving (or wanting) positive feedback is not a reflection of reality.
      Why did I give you my feedback? Because your approach ruined the viewing experience and whilst you're not alone, the majority do it much better. It wasn't that your video was bland - in which case I'd likely just switch off - but it was annoying, and irritating. I felt it important enough to let you know the effect you had, which your peers are not doing - which is vital when so many do as you do: switch off if they don't like - leaving the creator unaware. Ciao.

    • @MusicCatsandCoffee
      @MusicCatsandCoffee  Рік тому +4

      I was going to say “fair enough” and let this go, but I’m not sure I’m understanding.
      Accept it, as in your feedback that I talk too much, and amend my approach, yes? It would be arrogant of me not to apply this feedback, yet how arrogant is it to tell me to change because of your opinion? I can’t wrap my brain around that. Maybe I’m misunderstanding you. I'm not trying to twist your words and forgive me if I have.
      You can feel however you want to about my videos and I respect that. But suggesting that I switch things up because you don't like them, that I can't understand at all.
      I get plenty of criticism. Just watch a Tool video if you're looking for some. But most people realize I'm a nobody who's just listening to some music to escape my life. This is just for fun and certainly not a competition between creators.
      With all due respect, I’m not amending anything based on this exchange. I don’t see that as not handling criticism or me not being humble. I’m doing things how I want to. So this video annoyed and irritated you, and my initial comment, which was meant to be funny, only irritated you more. All I can say is, I'm sorry you don't like my style. I'm not for everyone. Hell, sometimes I'm not even for myself, but I'm all I've got.
      All that said, I really do appreciate you taking the time to explain. Enjoy your weekend! 😊
