    Glad to.see Hyundai 's N-line is improving so much in such a short time. Having used to European /japan cars n motorcycles , refreshing to see quality performance small cars coming from the land of morning calm.

    Hi, is the Renault made elsewhere or at the Samsung plant? Like we in Oz have the Renault Koleos, which runs in Korea under the Samsung name. Seat comfort, well we like the Kona better - why: We have just recently done 1400 km in one go with two short stops to revamp in the Kona and we have a Renault Scenic, and my legs do not get the blood circulation needed, more stops are needed and we felt fresher when stepping out from the Kona and the fuel economy?....well the Kona used 6.8 L / 100 km and the Renault close to 10 L / 100. The Renault has more yesteryear features while the Kona is up to date. If you do the tests you might zip around confined to one area while we do longer drives in one go, less good as the roads are in and around Seoul. KIA and Hyundai have a very large service and roadside assist net throughout Australia and Renault have a very poor one and they talking about cutting it even further down. At the moment Toyota is still the most sold car in Australia, but KIA and Hyundai are so very close followers and so close to overtaking Toyota's sale numbers with having fewer recalls, better after-sale service and one gets more car for a lesser cost - yes we drive now a Kona and we sold our Renault as it took too long to get parts delivered to small country towns when needed. Any importer is pound by Aussie law to carry spares for 10 years after the car was produced and sold. We could name you several brands that do not follow those government-stated rules and Renault is just one of many risking getting fined.

      The Captur is imported from Spain.

    • @ytlurker220
      @ytlurker220 2 роки тому +1

      Arkana and Koleos are the only ones from Korea sold in Australia. Captur (and Kadjar until end of last year) are both from different factories in Spain :)

    • @AOWarwick
      @AOWarwick 2 роки тому

      @@ytlurker220 I also owned once a SEAT GLS, from new and just one year old it had a rust problem while using that copy of a Fiat 124 as my daily drive in Europe. Made in Spain does not give me any confidence anymore. A Renault however, and I had several models would be a good choice for people who live in Europe but stay away from buying one and other French brands if you are a resident of Australia. The same counts for Citroen (my CX 2000 Pallas was my driving on air Dream Machine), Peugeot (I owned several: 204, 304, 404).

    • @ytlurker220
      @ytlurker220 2 роки тому

      @@AOWarwick I'm doing just fine and have great confidence in owning my Kadjar in Australia despite the fact it was axed. It shares many parts under the skin with the Qashqai and its engine with the A-Class and the latest Qashqai. It's a fantastic vehicle and with 55 dealerships across Australia + 10 years of genuine parts available locally under Australian law there's no problem for me. The Spanish Renault factories have always made quality passenger cars for our market such as the Clio and given they've ironed out the electrical or dry EDC auto issues of the past, they're dependable. And it shows in the What Car UK 2021 reliability survey with Renault placing top 10 across most of their cars. Peugeot, and especially Citroen, are another story entirely. They're trying to resuscitate the brand, they have top-notch vehicles, but outside cities there just isn't the support, brand perception nor the fleet to sustain it. Btw, you might be pleased to hear SEAT's sister brand Cupra is arriving next year.

    while the captur has better material quality, other than that, i wouldnt buy a french car. The kona offers awd, true to its crossover nature while the capture doesnt, the engines are far better and can be had with torquey diesels which are pretty good, the gearbox is far better being a dct and a good one, the driving dynamics are better partly because of the superior suspension set up, the tech is better and the assistance systems work really well on hyundai kia models.
