    Great review for the 12 people that buy a Renault a month in Australia.

      🤣😂 what? Only 12 units/month sold? Well Renault better closed their shop in Oz

      Not true, and Aussies should buy them because they're great value for money and superior in a few ways to other SUVs. The rating systems for publications like Carsguide are so arbitrary, French vehicles seem to be limited to a score of 7.5 yet it's smooth driving, peppy and has a very fresh interior.

      Looks good, terrible resale

    • @ytlurker220
      @ytlurker220 3 роки тому +1

      @@andrewgreen215 resale is ok considering costs are brought down by a low upfront price considering what's included and long service intervals. Besides, most Australians keep new cars for 10+ years so resale shouldn't even be considered upon purchase. What's wrong with buying a car that's superior in every way than rival SUVs? Look at the interior and exterior design, infotainment system, boot space, and engine performance. Nothing wrong with paying a similar amount for a niche car that your heart is set on.

      @@ytlurker220 no arguments there it looks like a really nice car but I worked in the car industry for years as an appraiser and every time someone pulled up in a Renault, Peugeot etc the salesman would run to the toilets knowing that the people would hit the roof when told what their cars were worth

    I bought the 2022 Intens. No regrets, on review driving it for nearly a year (purchased in 2023, it was a demo) 1.1 km on the clock. Only neg is the turbo/gear engangement from initail start. Very slow to get moving. I have found using the auto brake feature eliminates the issue. Great pick up otherwise. No problem at lights. Currently getting 6.8km per. Rides extremely well can match it to the Madza 3 I owned previously which hugged the road extremely well though the ride in the Mazda was stiffer over speed bumps for instance. I tested the Juke, Mazda cx3, Mitsubishi ASX before the Captur, the decision between the ASX and Captur was a difficult one however the 'deal' for the Captur won out. I think one of the features of the ASX is the only thing now I wished I had paid more attention to is the taller bigger person front seat accomodation. While the seating for the driver is very flexible to configure the front passenger is not, anyone over 5'10 is going to struggle to sit height comfortably in the passenger seat without compromising the seating behind. That is not an issue in the ASX.

    Having owned a 2017 model, i can vouch for the quality of the build. They are very solidly built vehicles , with no creaks or groans with excellent paint quality and comfort i very good.

    I totally get that it’s better than the 1st gen but that is a low benchmark to compare it to. I would have liked to hear more about how it compares to others in its class.

    We use the map pocket - it holds the packs of plastic straws I bought from China so we don't have to use paper straws with drinks on trips.

      Have you had a look at silicone straws? They are reusable, don’t fall apart like paper and much more like normal straws than metal ones. Plus you’re, you know not adding to plastic waste

    Is the dual clutch transmission a wet clutch on this new model? The old EDC was a dry clutch Getrag unit that was also used on the Ford Focus.

    The 2023 Mitsubishi ASX will be an identical car rebadged. I’ve looked at the Renault and love it’s design and tech but will put it off till the new ASX hits the shores as the accessibility to a Mitsubishi dealer is a lot easier and although the same car resale will be better (go figure). Renault may have to look at its price with a twin living next door.

      @@rio20d its actually all over the news, even in carsales website. It is designed specifically for the European market. I am actually glad that it won't come to australia because its really just a rebadge captur - kinda lazy for Mitsu to be doing that if you ask me. I still like the exterior look of the current ASX but they really need to update its interior.
