Absolutely brilliant. Like you say there are lots of videos but none seemed to be of exactly the model that I had. As a DIY person I'm at the Chuckle Brother level so was unsure of whether to even attempt this but a replacement belt at £13.50 as compared to a new machine at £250 + forced my hand. Without your video I'd have given up, so thank you so much.

😀Thank you. I had managed to get as far as the fan but your video confirmed that it was just a nut that needed unscrewing. It might help others to know that I used a 10mm socket on the nut, but space was tight, so i removed a couple of screws from the back panel immediately behind the fan to give me a few mm of extra space.

Oh for the love of the…I wish I’d watched this one. Managed to wiggle the belt over the back fan and through the shaft seal but the pulley was just impossible. Didn’t realise what the spring did until by chance and that it’s a self adjusting mechanism. Thank you. Happy wife now.

If you remove the black cover both sides it comes out easily, you can clean out the dust in the front fan at the same time and no need to remove the nut from the rear fan.
The belt goes around the grooved part of the spindle, and passes in front of the tensioning pulley - it’s easiest if you do it with the spring off then can use the mechanism to tension by hand while revolving the drum upwards, so the belt aligns properly before reattaching the spring.

Thanks for the video, my model is the same and didn’t match other videos layout, i.e. motor the other way round, very helpful.

How did you tension the belt after fitting? The video to take of the spindle was very useful but what did you do next to get the belt tight around the pulley and drum? From a very frustrated hot point Tdwsf83B condenser tumble dryer owner 🤯🤯🤯😰😰

There is no need to remove the white fan. Slip the belt around it first and then up over the rear side of the drum.

Looks like a lot of belts all breaking around the same time.

How did you get the belt to be tight over the pulley as I can not find any videos on it

I've got the same problem. I'd figured out how to get the fan off and loop the belt on but because I don't know what the belt placement looked like I'm not certain which way round I'm supposed wrap it round the other spinny thing. So my belt is either too loose or too tight. I bought the 2010mm belt. Did you sort yours out? Thanks

@@politicalcorrectionfacilit2644 I’m sure you’re sorted by now, I’ve just replaced my belt. This motor is tensioned with a big spring, so when looping the belt over the spindle and roller you just need to push the motor upwards, which gives enough space, when you release the motor it tensions the belt.
