    Hey Group,
Trying something different with ads throughout the vids, if you can stand it, resist that skip button... but understand if you don't ;). From foragers to garden warriors, I imagine that most would be pleasantly suprised at how good a well prepared snail can taste.
For those of you curious, the eye dr appointment is tomorrow, hopefully all is well as it can be. Stable is what we are shooting for so that the summer surgeries have the greatest chances of success. Hope everyone is well. Thank you for the likes, I read every comment and special thanks to our Patreons for their monthly contributions that aid us in making this channel possible.
    Until Next Time,
    Bob Hansler

🐌 While hiking on the Appalachian Trail, I fried snails in butter after letting them evacuate themselves in a mesh bag that I dipped in water three times per day... 8 times total.
A hiking Boy Scout Troop walked by me, the adults saying "Wow that smells delicious. Enough for us?"
I said, "Yeah... If you like snails." 🐌
Their immediate response, "No, we'll pass..." Made me laugh out loud.
I added the snails to linguine noodles with salt and pepper... And got VERY FULL. Snails are DELICIOUS.

Another excellent video Bob. In the part of the UK where I am we call snails "wallfish! We purge them for about 5 days and they get fed on lettuce or oats. Seems to rid them of most bad things. Once boiled we shell them the same as small sea snails "periwinkles" or "winkles" for short. We take a needle or cocktail stick, push it into the foot and twist them out. less broken bits of shell that way! Then cook again in whatever way you want. Soaked in garlic butter & a sprinkle of black pepper is my favourite way.

Wallfish, these were called in the UK during the war. I was a student in France, where of course snails are an institution. My dorm mates used to pick buckets of them off an abandoned tennis court on campus and cook them up with garlic, butter, and herbes de Provence (thyme, rosemary, basil, and oregano, which are weeds there.) Throw in a good red wine, you got a nice Friday evening. Thanks for the great video!
