Service Dog Task *FIND HUSBAND*

  • Mya will eventually be in a mobility harness for mobility assistance like counterbalance and bracing, and guide work like this task requires. For this task she is allowed to guide me. So yes she’s “pulling”. When in a harness I’ll be holding a pull handle and not the leash, so she so be able to guide me properly. We’ve only done this task a few times. And this was the most complicated. I lost my husband, I saw him cut down the clothes, and then lost sight of him. Mya picked up his scent initially, then lost it, then picked it back up and retracted to the aisles we had previously been on, back up to the front, where she found a fresh trail, then guided me to the other side of the store we had not previously been on, where my husband was located. Super proud!!!

Love how that lady by the register noticed her kids see mya and asked you first if she was working first. I have learned from your videos to know if the dog has their vest on and in the store that they are working and to tell my child to not interact that the dog is working but it was good that the lady atleast asked!

It's good that Mya is learning this? Could this same training not only help her find someone who is with you but could it lead her into being able to find a store employee to help you if you were passed out and it was not just like normal but maybe you were to stop breathing? This leads me on to why some SD should not be on a leash just for that very reason. I wish that people would not talk to SDs? This could cause a real SD to be distracted when moments count???

Start basic obedience. Work on shots and socializing. In a few months have the dog evaluated to see if it has the right personality and temperament to start training as a service animal. Then spend two years doing all that basic obedience, public access, and task training. Keeping in mind any small thing could wash the dog from training. They have to be perfect bomb proof dogs. No aggression or reactivity issues or health issues.

She’s not old enough to be doing FMP or any guide work with a pull strap or any pressure applied yet, it’d be damaging to her joints. She shouldn’t be doing any mobility for a long time, it’d be irresponsible for her to work on FMP or other mobility tasks before she’s at least 2y/o and her growth plates are closed. LOL 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Because I told them not to interact with my working dog????? I’M DEAD. Sorry I didn’t stop and converse with them. I told them she was working as I walked by because she was walking around the person she was with to cut us off while starting to reach out to Mya and talking to her.
My channel has been taken down before. And I still got it back.
But my god. This comment. It’s okay for you to say this to me?? Being rude with how you’re speaking to me? The hatefulness you’re giving to me with the whole “I hope your channel gets taken down”???
You can’t be two faced and Contradictive at the same time. What you just commented is worse than me telling someone to leave my medical equipment alone.

So because she dose not want to die you reported her? Distracting a service dog is a felony. You are a ableist. You are sporting someone who is literally breaking the law! Go back to doing your homework.
