Great video! No unnecessary babble that you get from so many people these days, and just straight to the point. I appreciate it. Great content, clear video, just what the title says it is. Cool. I can appreciate a verbal video as well, but let the title say that it is a talk about whatever the subject may be. Great work.
Wow..younger Chris! It’s amazing what all has changed since you made this video. I only started watching your channel like 6 months ago so by then “Cleats are King” lol!! Enjoyed seeing what the shop looked like then vrs now! God bless.
I found you because I was looking for a band saw box. Nice box. You look a little different then than you do today. and to those that don't like the music has never listened to real hard rock. from the 70's and 80"sReal acid rock and I'm betting your volume and must buttons work.
Wow! That's impressive! I may try your design, but with thicker wood. I've been doing glue ups for thick pieces, so that would be the most time-consuming part. Nice work with the sander for rounding over, too.
Nice video and nice box! I assume you must be a fellow musician if you did the music. I was glad you retained all your fingers since you did not use a push stick with the band saw lol! I had a very scary accident a year ago with my jointer while not using a push stick. I lost 3 fourths of my 3rd and 4th finger nails when a board fell over as I was pushing it through. Thankfully, though very painful, they are almost completely back to normal, but you can imagine it put a hitch in my git along on the fretboards for a while as well as my left hand on keys. I now use push sticks for every thing! I thought I was bullet proof lol! Got away with it for many years, but it only took once and I was lucky, relatively speaking of course. Just a thought.
BirdsAdventuresInWoodworking thanks for sharing your story. Yeah those close calls are crazy. I'm glad you're doing OK. I'll share a close call with you. As I was cutting a box on the table saw, you know the technique when Make a box and then you cut all four sides to make a lid, while doing that one of the finish nails shot out and stabbed me in the neck. It only went in a quarter of an inch or so, so I was able to pull it out, but you never know what's going to happen! Thanks for sharing your story. And thanks for watching take care.
Chris Just pulled this one up. Fun way to do it! Just read through the comments too, no idea why. guess i didn't get turned off by the music since I realized it was a few years ago and that was the trend at that point. Weird seeing one of your vids with no sidekicks in the shop :) CtL
What is the trick for those crazy tight 90° turns? The blade didn't flex at all, and it's even raised up super high In comparison to the size of cuts your making. 🤯
Quick question: What type of blade did you use for this project. I just picked up a band saw from Craigslist that came with a nice, sharp, fine-toothed blade, but it is a little thick. I was considering order some smaller blades (found a 3-pack with 1/8", 1/4", and 3/8") so I can do some intricate work and tight turns. Any quick suggestions?
Kurt Butler This was a long time ago and that blade has since been replaced however I believe it was a 3/16 Timberwolf brand blade I got from my local woodcraft. However the 1/8 would actually work a bit better that you have. Thanks for reaching out brother
I’m using a Timberwolf 3/8 inch blade. I believe my Delta holds a 92 1/2 for 93 inch blade as well. However of course that is specific to the saw. Thanks for reaching out
Thanks for the quick reply, I'm having trouble making a tight curve cut with my bandsaw, right now I'm trying with my baby bandsaw a Rikon 10-305 but I've got a big one outside waiting to be set up-a Rikon 10-326! So maybe the karger saw holds more tension on the blade making the curve cuts easier to do??
That is probably true. I have a mini bandsaw too the Ryobi one. Our use it for tight turns only . With a 14 TPI blade it’s only 1/8 of an inch in thickness
Nice one Chris. Think I've watched just about every Bandsaw box video on YT. This was a great take on the idea. Looking forward to the next one. BTW- I'll be uploading my first video to my channel this coming weekend (mailbox build). I hope you'll have a look.
+Peter Carnegie of course I have a little buddy. Be sure to somehow reach out and send me the link. I'll definitely check it out and share it. Thanks again for all the encouragement
That would be nice. But I made all those songs back in 2005. And I honestly don’t have the same musical set up like I did. Thanks for the idea. I might do that in the future but as for now I simply don’t have the resources
I love bandsaw boxes! And under 10mins! good stuff man! just subscribed. id love to have ya aboard my channel look fwd to seeing more of what u do keep the vids coming!
Respectfully, I think you should bump up your safely when cutting with the bandsaw and using your disc sander. I cringed a few times watching this video. Nice box though.
I get these comments a lot because I put my name was the creator of the music. I think it’s funny how this video generates this kind of comment only LOL
I really wanted to watch this video but the music is so loud I can't concentrate on what you are doing. Why on earth would you have loud music in the background making it difficult to hear you when you were talking? I'd rather listen to the bandsaw then that music. I don't know how long you've been doing this, but I couldn't bring myself to subscribe to a channel that posts videos that annoying.
Yeah I’ve learned a lot in the last 2 1/2 years for sure this is an old video. My newer stuff doesn’t have the same issue. Although I will say this is the only comments I get about bad music on any video of the 126 that I have her on this one because people can tell that 10 years ago I wrote a few songs and decided to use them in this video.
I make my boxes once a year. Come back to this particular video for a quick refresher every time. Thanx
That is so cool. Thank you for letting me know Simon. I really appreciate it brother

A bit of fun and inspiration for Bandsaw enthusiasts!
Thank You - I might just give it a go!
That would be awesome. Thank you so much
I just got myself my first tool - a bandsaw - and I'm just amazed at how quickly you did that!
I'm excited to try it. Thanks for sharing!
Wow! Under 10 min. Just wow!
Spot on young man, brilliant result...
Thank you so much sir
WOW, I have been watching your current stuff - you are a baby here!!!!! I am going to try this tomorrow
Wow..younger Chris! It’s amazing what all has changed since you made this video. I only started watching your channel like 6 months ago so by then “Cleats are King” lol!! Enjoyed seeing what the shop looked like then vrs now! God bless.
Nice. Just got a bandsaw as well and am ready to make some boxes!
Very nice design! Will need to give this a try!

Definitely. I use a brand called Timberwolf they make great blades at a great price check them out on Amazon
Made some bandsaw boxes from watching your video. Posted my pictures on Facebook and have 2.4k likes and counting as if 3-27-24 😮

How do you still have all of your fingers?
Nice! Please keep going, one day you make it big
Awesome work man. You have given me some ideas for some quick builds. Thanks!
+Hammer and Neil thank you very much Neil. Really appreciate the encouragement it means so much

Sorry, I can't seem to access the old comments. What blades are you using? Great project!
Great job!
Thank you so much
Thanks for the inspiration. As to the comments about the music…big deal! 80’s style garage band rock a bit loud, but so what.
Hey, this is fun! :D
I should really make a bandsaw box!
Finally found a version to start with! :D
Thanks for the inspiration!
+Jolien Brebels glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching !!

Jerry Uhte Not special at all I just kind of followed my nose. Hope it turns out well for you
Really very successfull😊
Thanks a lot 😊
Hey bro I hit that big BELL so I won't miss your videos man awesome stuff keep them coming brother you the man :)
Man you have some guitar skills. If that is you playing guitar. Maybe you should use a push stick with those blades brother.
James Evins you got a point man thanks. Will do! Thanks for watching
Great video. Nicely done.
But do you still have all your fingers?
What was the stuff in the tiny squirt bottle?
That was activator to bond the superglue to the wood within a couple of seconds. It’s almost like an instant bond with the activator applied
Cool project and killer tunes too!
+Frank Bondi glad you liked it FB. Thanks for watching for sure!

I really appreciate this video showing the whole process. And great music too!
Thank you so much. Glad to know you liked both risks I took!!
Would you please tell me what bandsaw blade you are using in this project?? Especially what width blade. I like your no-nonsense approach!
I’m using a Timberwolf 3/8 inch blade. I believe my Delta holds a 92 1/2 for 93 inch blade as well. However of course that is specific to the saw. Thanks for reaching out

What's the spray stuff?
Ca glue activator
Instant curing liquid
killer headache now.......that music is enough to drive you insane
Thanks for letting me know!
Then mute it, creep...
First YT woodworking video I've seen approximating metal music and I dig it. What a booger you are
lol Geez, rough take considering the video opens by saying the music is by Chris...😂
The music was fine. The complainer should have turned down the volume.
Music was pretty awesome, op is just mad he can't make a box or sick tunes. He probably stays off the grass.
Great content! However, the loud music will make me avoid this video. Sorry.
love the tunes man! and the box.
Like the gas monkey garage t shirt
Nice video. How about one showing you playing musical instruments with the sound of the bandsaw and sander in the background? Just a thought.
That would be nice. But I made all those songs back in 2005. And I honestly don’t have the same musical set up like I did. Thanks for the idea. I might do that in the future but as for now I simply don’t have the resources
I'm too old for the music you had playing...
Please use a push stick.
excellent video, shame about the music
Shame about the noise accompanying the video , good job I could mute it. Still worth a thumbs up though.
You win the prize for most annoying noise on a You Tube video.
If I had a nickel
I know it is an old video, so you already know it, but the music was waaaaay too loud!!!
Music is way too loud and not needed. IMHO
I love bandsaw boxes! And under 10mins! good stuff man! just subscribed. id love to have ya aboard my channel look fwd to seeing more of what u do keep the vids coming!
Joe basement woodworking thanks man. Of course I'll sub for sure! Got to love Glen right !!??
A Glimpse Inside thanks bro much appreciated and yes sir he's got some good stuff LOL
Joe basement woodworking Good luck
Joe Basement Woodworking & DIY is
Couldn’t finish, that music was distracting.
Lol
Dude, the music. FFS! I couldn’t make it through assembly.
Hate the music. can't finish the vid
John Sauer that’s a shame
music killed it!
Is this a good thing or a bad thing. Like it’s killer or it killed it like made it 💀
That was not music, it was a damnable racket.
If I had a nickel
Respectfully, I think you should bump up your safely when cutting with the bandsaw and using your disc sander. I cringed a few times watching this video. Nice box though.
I totally have. That was about four years ago
The " music" is distracting.
If I had a nickel
Had to turn it off!!! Music killed me 😢
Had to mute the $#!ty music. 🤮🤭🤫👎
Whatever you have to do to get through the video!! 👍 Thanks for watching
Music is really loud
What are the dimensions? Do you have a drawing?
i think the camera is too far...
Yeah a bit for sure. Still working out the kinks
I bought plans from Woodprix and did it very quickly.
LOL
the music was enough for me to stop watching after 2 minutes....
Another one of these huh
Please, no 80's guitar solos next time.
sad that the music ruins your video.......
I get these comments a lot because I put my name was the creator of the music. I think it’s funny how this video generates this kind of comment only LOL
Can't handle the loud music.
Most annoying music.
Had to turn it off because of the music.
Of course no worries
Woodglut has a lot of plans to choose from.
Terrible Music!!!!
Funny
Prefer not to have the music
Nice work but the constant loud rock n roll bullshit really sucks!
If I had a nickel

Thumbs down. Id rather hear the saw cutting then this idiotic music.
Well said. Brilliant
