So I'm guessing this game is based on the case of the SS Ourang Medan, which was actually a real supposed ghost ship which, according to various sources, became a shipwreck in Dutch East Indies (modern Indonesia) waters after its entire crew had died under suspicious circumstances.

This is due to several things beginning with the dollar being taken off of the gold standard. That mixed with a large amount of money being printed since then, mixed with banks being able to pull more out of thin air every time they issue a new loan, mixed with the creation of digital payment options. There are probably other factors too, but I'm not an expert on it so I'm not entirely sure.

I absolutely love the graphics and story and just everything. It's crazy that the creators are making more games very similar to Until Dawn. Which is also by them. Just simply creative and amazing. Definitely a horror story

You can play with someone too, a friend of yours can be the other character while you be one of them, it's basically a type of story game kinda thing, but 2 people can play which makes it more fun.

It looks like their using motion capture technology to animate the characters. I think they also used this in Until Dawn? Really like this because of how realistic their movements are.
For reference, the same motion-capture animation was used in films like Mars Needs Moms and Polar Express.
