Actually, the Ioniq 5N has an advantage in horsepower and torque, so in the end, it would all depend on which car gets all its power down the most efficiently!
Too bad it’s a Kia. The first 20k miles will be sublime, then you start hearing the creaks and feeling the materials in the cabin lose their sheen. The recharge in this video uses a tiny 14.9kW battery that will not last you 6 hard pulls and drags, not sure why they didn’t call out what the charge on that battery was at all, they might have raced it on 0m which would mean it would draw from engine power to charge the battery while dragging. These vehicles are only $10k apart, not sure if there’s much of a value proposition for the Kia either since the xc90 is probably the only Volvo that holds any value.

@@quangtrungkl you live in the old world Hyundai Kia is the best in terms of electric vehicle technology. Vietnam, an underdeveloped country in Southeast Asia that cannot even make automobile wheels, please be quiet.
The XC90 recharge has the super-turbocharged engine, paired with electric motor. That engine is rated at 295 HP and 310 ft lb torque in the non-hybrid version, pretty good power. Of course, if you want more performance, there is a Polestar tune that can be added for more output. Pretty good performance from these vehicles.
Such an amazing race. Hybrids, Plug In Hybrids and Electrics are becoming better and faster everyday. The Range Rover Velar had no chance but a lot of fun.
The SPA Volvos are really nice cars, and all of the 60/90 are just beautifully designed inside and out. Tons of SPA XC90s coming off lease at the moment, easy to snag a very well optioned one for ~$30k CAD with plenty of life left. They have a few weird issues, but staying away from the 2016MY helps a lot. I'm torn on the T8s - I think all the added complexity & battery won't age well, plus the first few "non extended range" ones had significantly less range/power. The setup is also a bit of an afterthought for the platform, removing the driveshaft for a battery pack, and differential for the E-motor. Supposedly they two independent setups are tuned well to work together, but the performance figures don't align with the power figures so there's either some funny math or synchronization impact going on. Not an issue for the XC90, but for the V60 version, I wish it were a little more sporty.
Billions went into the development of that XC90. Billions. The issue is that Executives at Volvo refused to use their superb dead reliable 5 cylinder technology. They opted for a ground up 4 cylinder to transition the company into full electric. Huge mistake. But, those little 4 cylinders are beasts. Lots of low end torque with a solid curve.
And why not have a third person call the race start instead of trying to call a race and drive. Plus there is a delay. Let a third party call the race so both get the delayed start at the same time.
Hello I really want to see a Toyota rav4 vs Honda crv I never seen it before and I looked all over UA-cam so it would really make my day if you race them
