As someone with a lot of siblings, the feature to switch from charging to charging + data transfer is CRIMINALLY underrated. “No mom, I don’t want my phone connect to the cars system rn. Just needed to charge.” That’s a feature that came from someone who’s had that experience, props to KIA
I have been a BMW owner for almost 30 years. I wanted a fast electric car so I ordered an i4 M50. After nearly a year I got tired of waiting. I went into a Kia dealership a year ago and saw an EV6 GT on the floor. Got in it, got a great feeling from it, took it for a test drive and bought it. I decided to forget about the label and try something different - I’m so glad I did. The car has been great…well built, practical, all the bells and whistles, better range than advertised and neck-snapping acceleration. I’m a Kia fanboy now.
Been driving my EV9 GT for almost 2 months now, over 1100 miles. I cannot say enough with how happy my family is. It really feels luxury, it is almost stupid how fast it is, and it does feel like they thought of everything. With the heavy doors (vs minivan sliding doors), my 5 year old took a couple trips to get used to using them, but now she does it on her own. My biggest 2 annoyances so far are that the rear windshield wiper doesn't do the whole rear window well and the massage seat is only for the driver (my kids love the heated captains chairs though). And if your biggest problem is a lack of massage seats for the passengers, that tells you how amazing the car is.
I just did a 2000km road trip in this car (GT Line), driving from the Swedish southwest up north and back. It's a fantastic vehicle indeed. Excellent charging performance (flat curve, if you pre-heat accordingly you'll see 160-180kW+ speeds even at 15% and 75-80% state of charge. Very reassuring to drive, very comfortable and as you say LOADS of tech - with most of it being focused on actual everyday usability rather than just cool gimmicks to show off to your nerdy friends (aka Mercedes EQ models). I love that i can just charge my cameras and drones while driving. Also, the paus mode (aka "camping mode") works perfectly. The car pulled only 10% battery running overnight as a campervan. Cheers!
The clutch feature that still makes a minivan more practical is the doors for the rear. The sliding doors, especially the power assisted ones, are amazing. Less work, larger opening.
A Minivan also has more cargo volume behind the rear seats. It looks like our Odyssey has about the same with all seats in place as the EV9 has with the rears folded.
@@CrappyCar My Mom's Odyssey gets used as a cargo van more often than hauling people. Take out the seats and you've got a low, flat load floor. Still can't do that on an SUV. You just can't beat it for cargo space.
Kia is currently the master at bringing good looking cars at an affordable price. Like sure, they could get rid of some plastic, but at what cost? Almost every car they put out right now matches or undercuts their competetors while looking better. The EV9 doesn't just look good, it's freaking sexy imo
Affordable? If Kia sold their EV6 or the Hyundai ioniq5 about 5-8k cheaper they’d sell like hotcakes. But when their cars are the same price as a Tesla then unfortunately I’d go with the Tesla.
@@terencewrennd.1741 Not a chance, the build quality and support you'd get from kia is way better than tesla. Tesla's also look butt ugly. I have to stare at so many of them everyday and the shear ugliness of the car is slowly starting to drive me insane. The only modern car I think is more ugly is a honda civic from the mid 2010's. Kia makes a better car than tesla and that's not really that crazy when you consider how long they have been in business. The real reason you shouldn't buy a kia is that they sell your data to your insurance company. They sell your location data, acceleration, breaking, speed, what trips you've taken, where you been, etc. They track everything and sell it to your insurance. Your insurance will than take that data and jack up your insurance rates. Considering that tesla is also only going downhill at the moment, they too will likely start to sell your data soon if they don't already. Getting a car that isn't ruined by some shitty business practice these days is a fucking a chore.
Got my EV6 few months ago and im really impressed. My family owned KIA cars since 2002 and with every generation this car maker makes leaps forward in quality of their products and their new EVs are a testament to that.
@@banimanFJ Now that is a clearly biased, profound statement without any backing. Kia has come a long way and are now leaders in vehicle design. I am not sure what you are currently driving but I would argue that most of the US domestic top 3 brands still continue make crappy cars. German cars are a different animal, I drive an M2. Regardless, back up your rhetoric or it will be perceived as just another redneck comment.
An SUV is a glorified Mini-Van. As a kid of the 90's where min-vans reigned supreme by soccer moms, when the SUV became popular in the 2010s and all the soccer moms were using it. You're driving a mini-van in disquise. Lets be serious, an SUV is just a mini-van that's designed to try not to look like a mini-van. You still ain't cool if you have an suv. And no , driving an SUV off-road in the dirt, doesn't make you tough guy. You need to buy a real off road vehicle like a jeep, hummer, dune buggy, hell even a subaru. But not your mom's mercedes SUV.
I work in quality at the West Point, GA plant that builds the EV9. We haven't started building it in full production yet. Just running trials now. It is a good looking vehicle.
My wife and I bought one in the same trim he is reviewing (the blue one) last month. I was really resistant given their crap reputation, but she wanted to test drive before we went with the Rivian. I was really floored by how good it is. Still am - I keep stealing it from her. He doesn’t mention it, but the 0-60 is like 4.6 seconds. It moves ok for 6k lbs. Oh and those 2nd row seats have foot rests, like a Lay-Z-Boy.
Second this. Test drove yesterday - "relentlessly practical" is a great way to explain it. Still too expensive for my family currently, but compared to the competition, it's worth every penny.
I just need to get past the Kia dealership hang-up. I love the cars Kia has been making, and I can't care less about the badge. The dealership experience continues to suck because in the US, the dealers take the fun right out of car shopping. Every Kia dealer I've visited acts like guys who finally got good cars and are willing to gouge their customers for every dime that they can at the expense of ruining the long term relationship.
@@manuelpiston I don't think it's that, it's the fact that OLD Kia/Hyundai vehicles were unreliable, current ones are a completely different story. I have a 2017 Hyundai and have had next to no issues and i've driven it almost 150,000 kms.
💯 Kia stepped it up big time. For the past few years, Kia has been in the top of my list of manufacturers that I am interested in. Now, if Lexus can just make something like this, then I’d be stolen away.
Leave the KIA logo where it is. There is nothing to be embarrassed about... Great design, great features, really good quality. They are doing better than ever. If i could afford it i would by it in a heart beat for our family of 6. Great video! Keep up the good work! 💪🏼💯
@@inc0de that defeats the point of buying a pure electric car. I'm a fan of hybrids myself and don't think pure electric would be right for me but if people want EV let them buy EV.
@@KMCA779from a consumer standpoint the only purpose you should buy an EV is to save money or to gain functionality, the Sienna does both by lowering your initial cost and giving you more space and dependability. The EV9 has a higher floor giving everyone less legroom and headroom. It doesn’t have rear entertainment, it has less cargo space in the trunk, it’s $20k more meaning tax and insurance will be more too. There’s no practical or logical reason anyone would purchase an EV9 over a Sienna or any hybrid minivan or SUV for that matter. The years it would take to offset the initial cost in gas savings makes zero sense.
@@inc0denot everyone thinks logically, especially with cars. For me, not having to go to gas stations is a huge plus for going to pure EV. The acceleration with EV is something you cannot get with a Sienna, not to mention the design. Design is subjective, but I'd take this EV9 over a Sienna any day.
@@rogerthat24MKB compares it to a minivan several times throughout the video, anyone that’s ever owned a minivan knows how versatile it is, especially compared to an SUV. Being able to open and close the second row sliding doors with a push of a button from the front row, far more spacious, more cargo room, and then add that I can get 550-600 miles per tank and refuel in under 5 minutes. If I drove 20k miles in a year, that’s roughly 166 minutes spent refueling which would be about 5-6 supercharging sessions. Nobody buys a minivan because of design or acceleration, and for some reason an EV minivan still doesn’t exist, but comparing the EV9 to one is very misleading especially when considering the EV9’s starting price is the fully loaded price of any ICE/PHEV. If he compared it to a Highlander, Mazda’s new CX90, Volvo’s XC90, or any other midsize SUV it would make more sense from a comparison standpoint.
It gets worse, car dealer tried to charge us 3 grand to replace the not quite working touchscreen in a 7 year old car... They are just taking the piss these days. This Kia looks very nice, impressive design and functionality!
I daily a telluride and felt right at home when I test drove the EV9 last weekend. As you said, for a big heavy vehicle the GT was still quick without sacrificing the daily comfort.
I've had a top-trim Telluride for over 3 years now. With Napa leather seats, a suede headliner, heated/cooled front seats & captains chairs (a feature which some cars that cost double don't have), adaptive cruise control, and tons of the EV9s features shown in this vid, I often feel like I bought a Volvo or Range Rover for $49,000. Yes, there's plastic and faux materials across the cabin, but nothing I touch ever feels cheap, and the highest touch items often actually have aluminum trim to keep the feel premium. Everything has weight and tightness to it, regardless of whether it's plastic or not. Kia isn't the brand it used to be, and hasn't been for almost half a decade now. People discounting cars like the EV9 just because it has a Kia badge need to get with the times and realize they're missing out on what's probably the best value in cars on the market.
asian cars aren't "inferior." I think that's self-serving western trope. They used to downtalk (that's putting it lightly) japanese cars and if anyone knows anything about japanese culture, they're a perfectionist culture with very high standards in everything they do, not just motor. It is well known that particularly japanese vehicles and now the korean vehicles, hugely outlast the luxury euro ones and are much cheaper to maintain. That's a win in and of itself. If it wasn't for asian motor entrants into the market, the euro and yank cars would have a duopoly and you would be paying through the roof. Asian car manufacturers have made vehicles a lot more affordable and accessible to the ordinary person. The chinese EV motor entrants are going to make EV cars even more affordable globally. I've heard great things about their offerings. Finally, nothing in life remains stationery and that includes car manufacturers. Car manufacturers evolve, they invest in R&D, they develop expertise, they learn lessons, etc. etc...
My sister and brother in law build those Kia’s here in Georgia. Have a 23 Sorento very nice car. Looking at the EV9 appreciate you recognizing their hard work Marquez. Taking the factory tour this Thursday.
I love my 2023 Sportage Hybrid. The remote control forward and backward is cool, it's mostly just a fun trick to show family members or coworkers but there's nothing I can complain about with it.
Been seriously looking at this car because they are so much nicer than the Rav4 on the interior... How is your overall average MPG with the Sportage Hybrid? I had read that some owners were dissapointed with the numbers as it wasn't exactly as advertised. Cheers!
sliding doors are the only minivan feature that is missing. The sliding door access for getting larger things in and out of the side is the only thing missing from it at this point. Would love to see the swivel seats again (had those in a full size van back in the 90's as a kid and loved it, had a table that could lock in too).
Sliding doors are also super convenient in tight parking spots. It's also missing the low-floor removable seats which some van models had which let you transform your minivan into more of an actual van and load incredible amounts of crap in. Swivel seats were also nice for accessibililty, especially for transporting older people.
No... you can't take all the seats out (or fold into the floor) and have all the flat room in the back... that's actually the main reason that this thing IS NOT COMPARABLE to a minivan! I don't know why he keeps saying it. It's just you're average full size 3 row SUV
Completely agree with your comments. I asked myself the same questions about how much would I spend on a KIA, especially when I bought my spouse the EV6. Then the EV9, comes out and I really didn’t think twice… the value is just sick. You just feel like you’re driving something so much more grand. Great vid.
As a father of 3, Minivans are great! And i love the smooth ride and suspension even when im not hauling them around. I will not accept this minivan slander MKBHD 😂
In a society obsessed with status I'm afraid that's a common sentiment (MiNiVaNs ArE fOr ThE pOoRs! SuVs LoOk So MuCh WeALtHiEr - the suvs look wealthy statement I've heard verbatim a bunch of times)
For real. I don't understand what people have against minivans. Personally I think most modern minivans look way better than SUV's. Also, MKBHD missed one of the biggest and most key features of a minivan: sliding doors. When getting kids in and out of car seats is so much easier with sliding doors, especially when you're in a tight parking space.
I have to agree with you about minivans. They are great. I have a Kia Sedona and I enjoy driving it even when I don't have the kids with me. In fact, now that my older kids are grown and out of the house, I don't even need a minivan anymore, but I like this Sedona and I intend to drive it, well, forever. Furthermore, as nice as the Kia EV9 looks, it's a non-starter for several reasons. First, it doesn't have sliding doors. Sliding doors are a must. Second, the rear storage space is too small. My 2007 Kia Sedona has way more rear storage space, and that is necessary when going on road trips. Finally, just six seats? Really? OK, sure, there is an option to have a third seat in the middle row, but no way, the 2+2+3 seating of my 2007 Kia Sedona is way better than the 2+2+2 or the 2+3+2 of the EV9. I'll be sad when it's finally time to say goodbye to my Sedona.
Ok seriously Thank You! I have a slight obsession with this car and have watched probably 37 of these reveal videos since they began. You are the first person who has ever mentioned, talked about and especially demonstrated the “dog walk” feature in and out of a parking space with the key fob. You find some of the most unique things to pinpoint about a car which is something I really love about your videos. So just wanted to say thanks for doing what you do!
I have actually used this feature on my EV6 for it's intended purpose: pulling the car out of a spot when some jerk parked too close. It's not exactly a necessary feature, but I do like it.
20 years ago I would have never believed I would own 3 Hyundai / Kai vehicles then we have two more Hyundais in our immediately family and all of them have been fantastic. Great review!
@@Stackali It's a fair point, but the vast majority of people don't want the same car for 20 years. A cars lifetime today only needs to last until about a week after you get a new one. Then it's the dealers problem if you traded it in. That said, still rocking a 1997 f150 myself for day to day.
@@camstegames8437I think the old “check back in 20 years” line is moot these days - avg length of new car ownership is around 8 years until its traded in. But, like you say, if you decide you really love your car, and theres no major issues with it, you keep it longer. Like yourself, thats why I’m driving a 1996 Toyota Hilux, and a 1997 Toyota Camry (for a change now and then lol). I’lll buy a new EV one day, when one of them fails, but it’s over 20 years now and still waiting 😂
Yeah the days of Kia being “Kia” is over …they kinda been making some of the best cars cars lately ..I see these really nice cars and I’ll be like “ wow that’s a nice car. Get close to it and see the Kia logo.” Whoa 😮
I went for a test ride at the Chicago Auto Show, and was really impressed. Kia has been killing it lately with their EVs. Now let’s go for the knock out punch and release a Stinger EV!

Nice overview BTW: Phone projection nav cancels on board nav BUT there is a precondition button so it’s available while using your favorite phone based nav or after you drop the vehicle connection service in years to come. 👍🏼 18:58
I desire a Minivan! They were my childhood and huge HUGE money saver on gas! Perfect for when you pack half your house on a road trip across the border!
I was going to say this. I don't understand the minivan hate. They are the sweet spot of comfort, carrying capacity, and fuel efficiency. Also, sliding doors are great.
@@jarrellidk Minivans are usually much more efficient that trucks or SUVs that can carry similar amounts of people and stuff. Compared to a VW Golf? No. Compared to a Silverado? Yes
One thing a mini van has even over some of the biggest suvs is total interior space. Ended up moving cross country in one instead of the biggest suv I could rent. Held more stuff and had better gas mileage. Niche situation I know. But point is they do hold more
To truly be a minivan sleeper, it needs a sliding door! My 5-year-old opens car doors like he's bursting into a saloon in the wild west. Anyone parked next to us is in danger.
Kia has really stepped their game up in recent years. Is it top of the line everything? No, but it gets all the right stuff right and cuts cost where it's not a big deal and doesn't impact comfort or features. Our household is a Kia household (except for pickup trucks because they don't make those). Kia makes great comfortable, feature rich, and reasonably priced vehicles. Oh and their software game has been ahead of the curve for at least 5 years. +1 review!
I have a 2018 Soul that I feel has more features than a BMW lol, heated rear seats and steering wheel, Harmon Kardon stereo, panoramic sunroof, mood lighting on the speakers, dual power seats, leatherish dash, I mean those are features you gotta really pay for in other manufacturers. Plus if any of it breaks, I have the 100,000 mile warranty (powertrain and drivetrain).
Plot twist, we just picked up a Kia EV9 Land in Ice Green for my wife this past weekend and it's without a doubt the best family vehicle kid-hauler (we're a family of 5) we've ever owned. Highly recommend!
Well done video and exemplary explanation of all of the tremendous features found in this absolutely mind-blowing vehicle! I drove the GT last week and it's on the top of my list of "must have" vehicles. Everything was thought of in this EV design. Driving it is a religious experience! Thanks for doing such a good job with this video!
Kia and Hyundai both are in the groove right now. I saw an Ionic5 at the grocery store today and honestly it looked outstanding. The planes and angles of that car's styling are sharp - literally. To me it is evocative of my old '85 GTI in that repsect. The "Digital Teal" paint color also was very appealing to me. Now if only we had decent Kia/Hyundai dealerships here in Austin.
Excellent review! We recently bought an EV9 Land trim with the same ocean blue paint and we LOVE it! Awesome for the family, drives great, plenty of helpful features, and most all of the benefits of a minivan like you said while definitely being cooler, haha. :)
As a new dad with a growing fam and coming from the IONIQ5, safe to say this is my next whip. I loved my (2013) Honda Pilot but it was a gaz guzzler , I moved to electric and LOVE the overall driver experience but I miss the SPACE. This does seem to have it all. Thanks for the solid rundown!
Saw one of those parked at a Costco last week and actually took a picture of it to send to some friends. It's a very nice, subtle yet somehow aggressive looking, family vehicle. I appreciate them putting the effort into the design and aesthetic over the typical Tesla they all look the exact same for the last 10 years, is it a 2014 or a 2024 it's anybody's guess, styling.
Thanks so much for this video I was in Busan, South Korea back in the fall and saw many Kia and Hyundai EVs driving around the city.I like the style of the EV9 and from your review and others I have read I think this will be a very good value for someone who has kids to transport around. My daughter just bought a hybrid Siena 2024 minivan she would have been smart to look at this vehicle but she is not an EV fan like me she has driven both Teslas that I have owned .She is not a car or tech person like I am.I appreciate the discussion of the tech in this vehicle because I have been wondering about it most reviewers just talk about the way it drives not so much the technology.
Kia and Hyundai are making amazing cars right now. My 2023 Sportage hybrid was awesome. The software was super responsive. I liked having the weather in my car. Nice and easy to review upcoming weather while waiting for your green light.
Just as a creator standpoint.. You gotta appreciate the ability for Marques to grab a damn iPhone, get in and out of the car, capture some good looking shots, all the while blurting out review lines that actually mean something. That’s one showman right there and definitely why he’s revered so much in this space. Commendable!
I love my 2023 Kia Sportage PHEV! I drive all electric around town, and hybrid on the highway. Currently at an average of 74 eMPG and climbing for the cumulative mileage over the past 10 months. Some weeks I get 700+ eMPG. When I finally go full electric, I will seriously consider Kia. My Sportage is a total pleasure to drive, for all the reasons cited in your EV9 review. Thanks!
We had the palisade which shares the frame with the ev9 and telluride and it still wasn’t large enough in the back, switched to an odyssey! I think I’m the only person who actually wanted a minivan lol. I love the styling of the ev9!
As a minivan driver, this aint it. Minivans have a flat floor from front to back, seats that fold into the floor (or remove altogether) to allow a 4'x8' sheet of plywood or drywall to lay flat with the rear gate closed, sliding doors that allow for a bigger opening without needing so much clearance between the car next to you, and they still have more 3rd row legroom AND storage room behind the 3rd row. Also, the floor height is lower (better) so they: are easier to get people and big items in and out of, allow for taller items to fit and people to stand more upright when moving around, and it lowers the cg to noticably improve handling and driving characteristics. Say what you will about the look, but people are fooling themselves when they pick a 3 row SUV and think it has similar utility as a minivan.
I love this. I own a Kia Sportage 2017 and it’s still more equipped than many other vehicles in the price range like all 4 heated seats and you can lean the back seats to almost laying position plus you have the WiFi etc something I’ve rarely seen before. I would def look into KIA again for my next SUV.
Its missing something that will forever keep it from being a minivan, sliding side doors. That is the #1 feature of my minivan that I would never give up.
I love the second row captain's chair option. That was my biggest problem with the R1S: You had to pull a seat forward in order to get a kid into the third row. By definition, the person who'd be comfortable in the way back was too small to do that themselves. This looks perfect for a family of 5 or 6.
EV9 is great! In Norway atleast you can get the second row swivel seats, but then you have to get the manual adjustments for the second row, sacrificing the electric adjustment. They cost the same also so it's pick and choose.
One of the biggest appeals of a minivan to me is the automatic sliding doors for passengers. So easy to sit the kids in the car without worrying about managing the door in a tight parking lot. When an SUV has that, I’ll consider it.
Interesting to see that the estimated range increased when you went to ECO mode - good to see that it takes account of the anticipated power consumption.
Most minivan people love the sliding door for convenience with kids. This doesn't look much different than a Telluride or Palisade on the inside, which is ok because those are both great. Maybe slightly more trunk space with the third row up, but otherwise not much difference.
GREAT JOB ON THIS REVIEW, I always expect excellence from you, but I think you did extremely thorough job on a unique vehicle and you pretty much touched on every aspect of this vehicle, I just wanted to say good job!
I'm glad more and more companies are making electric cars. We need more so us consumers can get the best electric car. If I'm ever buying a new car, I'm definitely going electric
I have a Kia K5 and I would definitely get that, I think it has everything and then some. The looks are also great, it's essentially a Telluride electric.
As a 2023 Kia Soul EV driver here in Canada, having traded in my 2015 Kia Soul ICE car, there's NOTHING wrong with Kia. I love the Soul EV, I know it's not sold in the U.S. which makes it even more awesome but it's affordable and fully electric and gets me 450km in range (330km range in winter), more than enough for my needs. Also having weather forecast in the car's navigation is helpful when deciding whether or not to pay for a car wash or wait until there's multiple days of dry weather before dropping almost $20 on a car wash. And since most places in Canada require hands-free with cellphones in the car, having that app on the car's infotainment screen is very helpful.
That was just the quick yet thorough review I was looking for, and since my car needs to pull things, remember this one is capable of pulling as I recall 1,5tons, and amazing leap forward. Also, though I don't like suv style, your label minivan is really interesting.
1. Man, you really dissed the Kia brand. Lol. They are a leader in SUVs, a leader in design, and a leader in legacy-brand EVs. They've come a long way. 2. It has everything a minivan has --- minus sliding doors. 3. I'd say it is good, not surprisingly. Kia is killing it in SUVs and EVs. I'm also really looking forward to the EV5 and EV3 SUVs.
I’m impressed with the progress both Kia and Hyundai are making in recent years. I’d never have remotely considered either brand years ago, but that’s starting to change. I doubt I’d buy one now, but I can see how greatly their design and quality is improving.

Sliding doors is the only thing that made me buy a minivan
@@CrappyCar My Mom's Odyssey gets used as a cargo van more often than hauling people. Take out the seats and you've got a low, flat load floor. Still can't do that on an SUV. You just can't beat it for cargo space.
One of my work trips had minivan rentals we had to use and it didn't take long before I really appreciated the sliding door.
The Kia Carnival is an "MPV", Looks like an SUV but it has the rear sliding doors! Tbh Marques' analogy at the start fits the Carnival better
Kia is currently the master at bringing good looking cars at an affordable price. Like sure, they could get rid of some plastic, but at what cost? Almost every car they put out right now matches or undercuts their competetors while looking better. The EV9 doesn't just look good, it's freaking sexy imo
Love it
75k is not affordable bro💀
Affordable? If Kia sold their EV6 or the Hyundai ioniq5 about 5-8k cheaper they’d sell like hotcakes. But when their cars are the same price as a Tesla then unfortunately I’d go with the Tesla.
To you maybe.@@justno984

This is honestly my dream car as a family man. Loads of tech and looks cool, but also relentlessly practical.
One thing he never mentioned is Kia reliability which is at the top of the industry.
@savedfaves ok what kia dealership do you work for . Kia’s reliability is at the top of the industry 🤣🤣🤣🤣 that’s some funny material there

Lol cap. People like this care to much about status.

Just save $20k and buy a new Toyota Sienna. You’ll have plenty of space and no range anxiety. 36mpg hybrid 🤌🏻

This Kia looks very nice, impressive design and functionality!
IKR! Like all automotive touch screens are so laggy. Just give us a place to put a tablet, and we'll provide our own touch screen. Or none at all.

Would love to see the swivel seats again (had those in a full size van back in the 90's as a kid and loved it, had a table that could lock in too).
this is what I was thinking too. It's not a minivan without the sliding doors preventing the kids from slamming them open into neighboring cars 😅
Sliding doors are also super convenient in tight parking spots. It's also missing the low-floor removable seats which some van models had which let you transform your minivan into more of an actual van and load incredible amounts of crap in.
Swivel seats were also nice for accessibililty, especially for transporting older people.
@@BlairdBlairdDon't need to worry about tight parking spots when you can do this 2:59
No... you can't take all the seats out (or fold into the floor) and have all the flat room in the back... that's actually the main reason that this thing IS NOT COMPARABLE to a minivan! I don't know why he keeps saying it. It's just you're average full size 3 row SUV
also missing the cargo space, this is a little more than half what a Dodge Caravan offers.

@@karlwithak.Wtf? No lol

I have actually used this feature on my EV6 for it's intended purpose: pulling the car out of a spot when some jerk parked too close. It's not exactly a necessary feature, but I do like it.

Well done video and exemplary explanation of all of the tremendous features found in this absolutely mind-blowing vehicle!

08:08 - If you're not ok with a good amount of plastic in a $70k vehicle then... any Tesla is definitely not for you.
Love our GT-Line. Really great family car and fun to drive.
I love the second row captain's chair option. That was my biggest problem with the R1S: You had to pull a seat forward in order to get a kid into the third row. By definition, the person who'd be comfortable in the way back was too small to do that themselves. This looks perfect for a family of 5 or 6.
It always amazes me whenever I see a new Kia or Hyundai in person, they're gorgeous now!
EV9 is great! In Norway atleast you can get the second row swivel seats, but then you have to get the manual adjustments for the second row, sacrificing the electric adjustment.
They cost the same also so it's pick and choose.
Kia and Hyundai has come so far since 2018. With all the new features, updates, etc. LOVE IT!
I have changed my mind I love the blue o moving from parking space, cool

Kia has made huge improvements over the last 15 years.
Weather app being in the car is super helpful. It should be integrated into more apps, honestly. I wish Calendar and maps had weather information.
One of the biggest appeals of a minivan to me is the automatic sliding doors for passengers. So easy to sit the kids in the car without worrying about managing the door in a tight parking lot. When an SUV has that, I’ll consider it.
An SUV will never have that because then it wouldn't be an SUV and would be subject to the minivan haters.
Reminded me of a Ford Flex
That moving the car with the remote feature is genius. No more trying to enter the car from cramped car spaces!
GREAT JOB ON THIS REVIEW, I always expect excellence from you, but I think you did extremely thorough job on a unique vehicle and you pretty much touched on every aspect of this vehicle, I just wanted to say good job!

What a good looking design, the wheels go so well with the frame, beautiful 3 design aesthetic.
I had this vehicle in the EU for an expo and can say that the swivel seats also come in the EU
This looks like a complete car. Price is little bit too steep for me, but i would definitely look into it if i needed this type of car.
Uk spec is mental, just got one and it’s got some added features which are just sublime
I’m impressed with the progress both Kia and Hyundai are making in recent years. I’d never have remotely considered either brand years ago, but that’s starting to change. I doubt I’d buy one now, but I can see how greatly their design and quality is improving.
That front storage is perfect for stowing charging cables and other items which you might need easy access to on a journey when the trunk is full.
This looks good, I'd want one in black!
As a car review fan, this is one of the best I have seen. SUBSCRIBED!!
Minivans have always been at the top of my desired vehicles. They are just so comfortable and useful.
If it had sliding doors, this would really be a minivan killer! Really nice car
