@@Convert_and_explore Ford Transit AWD - I've had one professionally converted, and one that I used a kit for and did some myself. Trying to figure out what I'm doing for the third or if I'm going pre-done class b RV. We'll see!

Tomorrow I'm of to a bothy for a few hours, Nant Syddion with my youngest son. He's 14, then a beach camp New Quay west Wales. Just the 2 if us.
No filming, just chill with him.
It's not their thing, it's the only place I've been he was interested in.😁
He's been asking to go for weeks. He watched it and wants to see the house and cemetery.
I'll film something next week.
I got couple new toys, a gimbal and dji mic. I needed a few bits.
Next month I'll have 50 odd hours Scafell Pike and around that way.
Hope to make about 4 vids at different places. 5 hour drive for me.
I'll leave about 3am😁
I'm just waiting for a sunny weekend in May.

How about rain guards on your front windows..then you can crack one or both windows an inch or two for ventilation...and the vehicle is still safe at night.👍

Went for swb mk7 transit purely so would fit in a parking space at the supermarket. Now just park at far side in large car parks and get steps in :). Now I want an L3 H2 Ducato/Boxer.
The ford transit seems nice and is available in the USA. I will consider the NV 400 from Toyota, but all models may be quite old when I retire in 10-20 years. There will be new, exciting models, though!

I’m not too knowledgeable when it comes to the NV400 but I would highly recommend the Transit. Like you say though, your options will have greatly widened in a few years time! Good luck :)

Hi have you heard of the Wallas hob that converts into a heater? I saw it in a Scottish firm's conversion videos. Do look into them! (The hob lifts/opens slightly and you switch it into heater mode. Ingenious I think). G Ire

@@Convert_and_explore I found the website just now. And also a youtube video of a guy demonstrating. Was slightly different to the Scottish video but still dual operating. They're a Finnish company, I had thought Scottish. Hope it's helpful and not exorbitantly expensive! Best regards. G Ire (I love useful and/or dual purpose 'gadgets'! 🤗)

I have the exact same van as you that I'm currently converting! Got a bargain however that bargain turned into needing a new starter, turbo and 3 glow plugs so it's currently in the local garage.
My kitchen measures the same as yours, I thought it was going to be too long but seeing yours has made me realise it can work. How did you do the overhead storage? Thanks 😊
Sorry to hear that, hopefully it all gets fixed asap! What mileage is yours on and is it the 2.2L? The overhead storage at the front above the cabin or at the back above the bed?
@@Convert_and_explore yeah 2.2l, 350 on 190k (SUPER high ex fleet). I kind of got duped when buying it but it'll be worth it once done and £2k later as the rest is really clean.
With regards to the storage I mean the cupboard in the cabin and the ones above the bed. I've aeen a load of pre fab ones on Ebay but wasn't sure what was the best way to go about it
@@corditeshade you should be alright with that, hopefully they’re motorway miles. The vans are good for 250k all day long just make sure you deal with all the rust and she’ll be good.
I’ve not seen the pre build ones to be honest, I just built mine out of the van then fitted them, I have plenty of pics if you send me your email I’ll send the build pics through

The mechanic said the rest of the engine is in top form and there's very little rust underneath so fingers crossed it should be good. I have learnt my lesson though lol
Tip #5! You can't have a beer when you are parked at night in your camping area? That is horrible.
Yeah.. slightly ruins the whole point of camping doesn’t it 🤣
