Hi luv watching your videos. We collect our new California ocean 4motion. Next Friday. We have been
caravaners for years. Never thought of a Campervan. However we will now be using both the California will be towing and the short trip will be in the California. Plus the bigger kids can come. We will have the caravan they can sleep in the California. Win win all round.

I can not find your old YT channel, every search for california time- leads to campervan time, with no video's older than 2 years. I wanted to see videos on why you upgraded to cali, how the older van worked, as my budget is low. Also there are many copy vans out there, cheaper, I'm trying to narrow down what I could couldn't live with/without. For my abused body (now nr 60yrs, I started out working with horses, then farms, so have a very unhappy spine with poor hand eye coordination, so kack handed). I feel, I would cope better with an autosleeper trident type of van. With loads of cupboards for organisation, floor standing (when stiffened up), toilet easy to use, and no heavy pullout of bed that leads me with no space to stand and turn around, for loo and dressing, nevermind dog. But older vans how will I get on re van fitness m.o.t., plus van's higher hightop so what about multi-storey car parks, which I do use if I visit cities, although not done in last few yrs. Even going to Truro, I always use multistorey, as I can't cope with packed roads and parking. I am hoping van will increase my getting up & about, short breaks, building to wks, hopefully, Welsh hills, Yorkshire Derbyshire, and on to France, Spain Portugal. Will ease of driving to Plymouth, Truro, Paignton & on, then ease of parking, and ability to then stop & camp overnight to rest up, MAKE -UP for less ease of movement in van, & organised (hah!) living off VW style. Van needs to be my day van, although that's only 1/2 uses in wk, The hard part is the travel, loading van, driving- concentration, set-up into camp on site. Exhausting, painfull, so I'm not looking to move on each day, I'd like to get the stage of 2-3 wks,4wks away, plenty of quiet time, ability to take it easy days before and after, a 'pushing' it day (visit to shops, walking carrying,). This is when I come back to an auto sleeper high, top, type of van. Their not as high as transit style van conversions, and I remember seeing some high top vans in some multi storeys??? But when get abroad, I do love the hypermarkets, cheaper supplies than holiday maker small supermarkets, but often with multi storey parking.?? Sorry for this long, LONG story. Lets face it I'm not going to get confident expanding my away plans for sometime, maybe a micro camper with a decent conversion or vw type. If I'm looking too JUST get started with 1/2 nights then wk, I can limit what I take, to keep van tidy. Expand my travel I suppose the best way is to hire both types. But when I look at the micro campers, vw roll top beds, I feel pain coming, my brain is going in circles.
Hi - welcome 👋🏻 We’ve only been running the channel since mid 2021 when we collected our T6.1 California. Before that we had a 2018 T6 California, but we didn’t do any videos then. We used to be called California Time, but changed the channel name when we sold our Cali in late 2022. We’re collecting our new van this week! All the very best figuring out what you need/want - there’s so much choice out there 🤩
Notice your California as a tow bar does it come a spare wheel?
Does your 4motion come with the little side drawer, that at side of the big drawer under the bed.
No it didn't (it's part of the storage pack which we didn't order) - so we fitted it after. We have done a video on how to do it :)

Hi Will please let us know your thoughts on the Sven as we have one on order from Wandahome 😊 I wish they offered a wheel/tyre upgrade package which offsets the cost of the standard wheels 😢
