Epic Resin Bowl Transformation

The time has come to finally turn this huge blank into something (Christmas gift for my wife). I have had this sitting in the workshop for about a year and a half and the time finally came. It took me a good long while to get it turned to shape. I was really happy how the Jet 12-21 VS lathe handled this 14 pound blank. This is part two of this project; I had over 6 hours of video to trim down to the 18 minutes it is. Even though I am a professional turner, I am an amateur bowl turner with plenty to learn. Beautiful piece. Thanks for the video. After I use lacquer, I lightly sand with 1500 grit sandpaper to remove the difficult to avoid small dust particles in the lacquer. Then I wipe off the dust. The lacquer then looks more smooth.

It’s an Xtool F1 and it does alright on metal, not the best for that. It’s really versatile though, depends on what you’d use it for.
