The Lichdragon once led a host against the forces of Leyndell, where he met the prince Godwyn the Golden on the battlefield. While he was decisively defeated by Godwyn, they were each impressed by the other’s might, and the two became good friends. After the Night of the Black Knives and the death of Godwyn, Fortissax entered Godwyn’s dream in an attempt to save his friend. However the fight against death has taken a serious toll on him, most of his scales worn away and blackened to reveal the golden flesh beneath. He came to rescue his friend, and now he fights for his life in a terrifying nightmare.
